I was considering moving there but changed my mind and after listening to this I’m so glad I did! I definitely can’t stand roaches, snakes and other rodents it’s just a no for me! I wondered how bad the traffic was it sounds horrible! Dating I heard was bad from one of my nieces she told me if you move there take your boo with you! I want to move out of Rockford but not where I have to adjust to a lot of variables with no family around! I chose to move to Texas where I have plenty of family where the heat is my main worry but I don’t really go out a lot so I’m good with that! In the back of my mind I kept wondering if I chose the right place but after listening to your video I know I did, thank you for posting this video it has helped me a lot! I have a daughter with a bug phobia this would’ve been a nightmare for her! Thanks again!!!
Yeah I have a bug phobia as well. The roaches are just yuck. I have learned to deal with them but it can be a dramatic experience at times lol. And my mom can't figure out why I have to scream when I see one lol but hey that's what it is. Glad you made the choice good for you.
Atlanta is a great place but it does have its issues The biggest complaint I hear is the traffic. I have been there several times and witnessed the chaos!
I have been to ATL once, loved it to visit. I couldn't see myself living there. I didn't experience the traffic but the way people drive down was a surprised to me.
Omg yeah the people drive crazy. I think it’s a combination of driving styles from people who have moved there and lack of driving school. But I love living in Atlanta.
Great video- I live in Texas and hate the roaches and snakes too. I live in the country and we get traffic jams when the cows get out on the county road- lol.
OMG!!! Not the cows lol! That reminds me of one day (pre-2020), I was driving home from work and some goats had gotten loose in the city. I'm like who has goats and why are they loose lol!
As someone who lived in Atlanta I understand your pain. I didn’t like Atlanta as a city but at the time I lived there it was super affordable and I was able to pay my debt down. Traffic is terrible which surprises me because of the city size. I use to hate when it rained because here comes the roaches 🪳😂. Don’t get me started in the air quality. It’s terrible. My eczema was unbearable. Great video as always.
I love Atlanta and these are the quirks I don't like about it. I mean no city is perfect! And yeah the traffic is horrific. It gets worse and worse every year. And yeah the air is terrible for me due to actual earth environmental things. Which sucks but is manageable now that I know. And oh gosh, when in rains, too hot, etc. roaches come peaking out from the tree or underground. I just can't lol.
I think I always thought you were from here! This is a good video honestly! I love how you kept it positive still. For me I LOVE visiting Atlanta I just literally cannnnnnot do the traffic! Not a parking lot whew lol So I understand creatures where I am... Allergies are challenging here too but stay on it! I love that about Atlanta though - it's a city with trees! I'm surprised about that dating aspect, I hate that for you!
Nope, I'm originally from Cleveland! And I'm glad you enjoyed the video. And I had to keep it positive because anywhere you go or live could bring something negative but being able to deal with them is what matters. And I'm remaining positive! I will find the right man when the time is right!
We have a similar issue with roaches in NC…especially from all the trees. When I first experienced them I deep deep cleaned the house, (because to me roach=filthy/dirt in my head) but later came to realize it wasn’t us but the area we are in 😅
Oh yes, I remember my friend telling me about roaches in NC when she lived there. I never thought of roaches living in the trees until I moved to Atlanta. Its crazy! And I did the same as you! Deep clean and still end up with a random roach somewhere smh.
There are creatures everywhere unfortunately! I hate them all! You definitely gotta be careful of scammers. This is why I have trust issues and I'm reluctant to be nice 👀
Yes indeed! I wish I would’ve known these things before moving to Atlanta. I could’ve been more prepared to deal with them. Or at least mentally prepared. Thanks for watching!
I believe I remember you telling me about that one! My first and only apartment in Atlanta has a roach problem. It was terrible! I ended up buying a house so I could get out of there!
For me, fortunately I haven’t had that issue which is why I didn’t mention it. Nor my friends haven’t had that issue. I would say it’s better to be in Georgia to find a job. And not to mention companies worldwide have been struggling since 2020 with hiring.
I hate creatures too!!! No snakes or roaches please & thank you!! Sitting 2 hours in traffic...no way!! Allergic to trees?!??! 😩 I think dating sucks everywhere 👀 (from what I hear) lbvs
Yeah the pandemic was the best thing that happened for me and traffic. I was so anxious from driving to and from work that I was getting sick on a consistent basis. And I agree, I think dating sucks everywhere too based on stories I hear from friends in other cities 😩
I’m not a big fan of wild animals either or roaches and them rats be big as a kitten. I will say Atlanta is better than Newyork regarding the rodents but I get what you mean. What I don’t like is people trying to get in your car 🚗 😫🥴
Lawd yes the rats are disgusting. I have only seen a few in Atlanta which are usually down in the Marta stations. But NYC I could be there for less than 24 hours and see one 🤣. I have fortunately not had the car issue. I ended up looking up car break ins across the US and fortunately Atlanta isn’t in the top list.
