What I Learned After 1 Year | First Year On RU-vid #newyoutuber #youtuber
I have been creating RU-vid videos as a small new RU-vid channel for the last year now. In my time as a RU-vid content creator, I have learned a lot about what it means to be a RU-vidr, how to create content, and just how hard it is make RU-vid videos and attract viewership to my channel.
After doing RU-vid for a full year, I have made over 100 videos, and just now, after a full year and some months, only did I get monetized.
The highlights of what I learned in my first year of running a RU-vid channel are:
To be consistent in posting RU-vid videos to your channel (as this will make you better on camera and in the overall production of a RU-vid video.
Be patient with you RU-vid growth as there are countless creators and you are only just getting started. It takes time to get into a rhythm, and start building views on your channel.
Views and watch time are more important than subscribers. After the first 1,000 Subscribers, your sub count only becomes a vanity metric in my opinion. After that, watch time, views and CTR are the metrics that will grow your channel.
RU-vid is a very challenging path to pursue. Making it on RU-vid is no easy feat. Just coming up with an idea, filming, and editing is hard enough and can take hours of time and does not guarantee that anyone will even watch the video!
I have learned all this and more in my first year as a new RU-vidr. I hope this video helps you along your RU-vid journey and I wish you all the best!
