I was so thrilled to see the three of you doing this course; I quote all of you in my decluttering journey videos over at my channel a lot! I just used my pay for doing aftercare for a friend to register myself. EVEN IF Dawn hadn't said the very exciting part about new content being in it that's not on RU-vid, I would have signed up because I want to support y'all as content creators since I feel you've been such a big part of my life the past two years. Thank you!
"Decluttering Expert"! You're very kind!!! Love this video and SO, so, so excited about this course! It came out so much better than any of us expected :)
It REALLY did! I am SO proud of this course because of how inspiring, educating and motivating it is. Thank you for putting this together. This course really will transform so many lives.
Love you ladies! 😊 And Dana too! Good luck with the new course!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Fan of you all for life. Thanks for showing how us hot mess folks can have a future too.
This is THE BEST NEWS!!! Love the three of you! I’m preordering now. I’ve come A LONG way in the last couple of years. But I’m still a work in progress. I live in a large house with two teens, my mom, and my husband. This will be changing in a couple of years. Downsizing majorly is my goal.
I love this video so, so much as well. I come from Dawn's FB clan, but I have to say, I really appreciate the different personalities of all three of these wonderful ladies! Also, Cas, you are pretty hilarious! Can't wait for this course to start!
Me too! They are both like, the nicest people. I don't know what I was expecting...maybe Divas? 😂. Anyway, they were incredibly kind and passionate about actually helping others. I'm so blessed to get to work with them both.
I know this is off-topic, but your dress is beautiful, and you really rock it. I'm happy for you that you enjoyed business class & Uber Eats. To get back to the general topic, I want to share that I decluttered and re-organized my bathroom cabinets thanks to you. I"m very happy with the results. And I agree, the sucess of a small step is contagious. Thank you for your genuine input and sense of humor.
@Clutterbug Different approaches for different ppl is key! One of things you said that helped me was about that it doesn't have to be perfect; you can always change it later. Another is how you organize. After disruption, I found myself needing to remake an organization system. I love how you make it feel easy, and even fun. I'm so glad you were careful and I wish we had had protocols early for ppl quarantining. I live in an area that gets many travelers, and an actual imposed quarantine would have helped us. But the U.S. went with, "we aren't going to tell you what to do, or even take it seriously, so do whatever." You have helped me find happiness again, Cass♥️
Thank you for keeping it real. I follow Dawn and I found you through her and I also found "The Secret Slob" who follows the Fly Lady System. I have learned so much from all of you and it has truly changed my life. I thought I was a pretty organized person, I absolutely love to clean and organize, BUT after following several of the tricks and tips each of you have contributed to my life I shop different, clean different, and organize different. It wasn't until you shared your binder method for organizing paper clutter that it finally "clicked" like what you mentioned in the video. I've been married for 31 years and have tried COUNTLESS ways to file and keep action items where you can see them etc.... but since the binders clicked with me I ordered them the very day I saw your video and when the mail and paper come into our home I know exactly what to do with it and my counter is no longer a "Hot Spot" for paper!! I've helped countless people try to organize and put systems into place that will give them the gift of "TIME" and I always direct them to all of the channels I follow so they can find what clicks better with them, it doesn't always have to be my way and that's what makes change so rewarding. The only way you can move forward in any goal you what to accomplish is to change. You can't be scared of it you have to invite it in and help yourself feel successful in even the smallest change you can make at that moment! I think all of you are FABULOUS and are helping so many people find what clicks!! Keep it up, it makes a difference and brings peace to so many!!
I find though what works for me I with one season changes with another season. Life is ever changing. Add a new baby, kids going into highschool, taking in an elderly parent to care for and soon what you have down to a science changes and you have to replan again. So, knowing that, we shouldn't be hard in ourselves when our house gets out of control. It will happen, it will get in control.
You are so much fun to watch. I have been figuring out my home after a couple years of doing nothing. It's been exciting and exhausting and feels so so good. I have been watching a couple videos of yours a day and they have been an encouragement to me. Thank you.
You deserve to be pampered by your family! I wish I could get the course now. My 22 year old daughter and I have been decluttering our house all year long! I don't want it to be the main goal for 2021, so when she's off from work for the next 3 weeks, we'll be hitting what's left very hard! But I'll be interested to hear how the course works for others. 🙋♀️Tammy in N AL.
Thanks so much for how you guys are trying to help others. It’s truly a refreshing gift to give someone this time of year. Because it’s not only a gift of taking your house back, but also your mental health! Because this will set so many people up to have more confidence in themselves. I just gifted it to my Mom. I know it will be such a blessing to her. 💕
I have always been a fan of your system of clutterbugs. I am a lady bug and I now am able to keep everything neat and clean in my house. My husband is a butterfly so I set him up areas that are visual and gave him tons of hooks so now his stuff is easy to keep organized. It really worked!!! It has been so wonderful knowing that I can be the homemaker I always thought I couldn't be.
You are so cute and adorable. Fun and tell it like it is :) Decluttering takes time and patients for some of us, but my biggest problem is keeping and getting rid of papers. So many you think you're going to need and then so much junk mail to go through. Even having files cabinets for the paperwork, there is still more that seems to be in need of a home. Thanks for sharing your very sparkling personality with us. You are looking amazing !!!
Minimalism is a great strategy to get through the chaotic family years, but the future self really does arrive and it is more fun when you don't have to re-acquire all the items you donated. Exploring and enjoying crafts and hobbies I postponed from the past is how I now spend most my time. Last week was sewing a ruffled quilted pillow, next week is glass etching and Woodworking.🤗👍🥳🏝
Oh yeah you answered my frustration of more stuff than room. What to do and how to do it. I realized I like to organize but it always turns to fail. I started following minimal mom although I am old (LOL) retired with no children, there is no age requirement for this process. We only have the two of us. I have been doing the decluttering process with Dawn. Yet I was a bit frustrated, then I saw some of your videos and AH HA moment to learn about myself and do I want minimal or organized yet decluttered home, I want warm, cozy and yet lived in. I am blessed with a small apt and no off site storage. Yet look around and many areas is boxes with stored items. So I signed up to learn and looking forward to meeting new people and new insights. Thanks for sharing
You look amazing. ♥️ Don’t mind me, just leaving a comment for the algorithm containing words like Awesome, Informative, Great Video. Thank you for this, had fun watching!
You are so adorable! Whenever I watch one of your videos, I will "magically" find myself cleaning or clearing something-- YOU ARE INSPIRATIONAL! I must confess that when you started your holiday challenge, I ignored it because 1) I'm not going anywhere 2) no one else lives here and 3) no one is going to be coming over for the holidays 4) I usually don't celebrate or decorate..... BUT THEN... I realized, that I have projects around the house, I have cleaning to do, and I have decluttering. So... right now I have about 50 items of clothing in a box to DONATE and about 50 books to DONATE. All of these are by the door, and I put them in all those extra plastic bags that accumulate. I put tags on each bag of books: Sci Fi, Personal Growth, etc. All the clothes are folded and in bags too. Finally, every time I open a door or cabinet... I discover MORE things to add to my donate bags!! Amazing!
Cas, you ALWAYS make me giggle til I hurt! I've been following you since God was a little boy and recently discovered Dawn. What fun you 3 had! I'm so happy about your new joint project. I just finished a great purge, too...I emptied half a dozen Memory Boxes. That was awesome but even better, I found a home for the empty boxes! Now, on to the next big purge...
I watch these three because I saw the same thing -- they are messies who have found tools that they can share to help them overcome but still struggle with it.
You guys are my Norner. They are three women from Nordic mythology that know about everybody's destiny. Dawn is why we do it, Dawn is how and Cas is how we keep it staying tidy. Maybe this is crazy. But you are my Norner i my book.🥰
Oh Cass this is hilarious (of course I just finished the "Stay to the End" part, lol!!🤣🤣🤣 Ok I want to take a trip somewhere too so I can "quarantine ", well legitimately quarantine, lol! And I'm so excited you all met up!! Dawn and you both have been my God-sends truly in some seriously rough seasons. Thank you!! Early on I would think- these 2 have to meet one day. And here it is!!😁👍❤ I'm REALLY hoping I can be part of this course bcs I'm currently seriously overwhelmed with my house. I'm homeschooling for the first time and also I struggle with having too much in the house to handle. So ya I'm hoping really truly to join with y'all. God bless!
For me I think it was a cross between giving up with this “keeping up” impossible fantasy and hopping on the minimalist train. Lol. It helped me so much to look at a lot of things and just be like hah! This is the last time I’ll ever have to “tend” to you. “Cleaning” was so much easier when I could see it as “this is the last time. Never again for this junk.” And being a cricket....lol....One and done just feels really good to me. Like for example I was more motivated to wash all the dishes and do all the laundry Bcuz I wanted to see what all to get rid of as I did that. In the back of my mind it was like from here on out it will be less and less and easier and easier. And I was right. It has been easier to keep up since. Lol.
And I bet you did make it lol! So funny! The luxury of uber eats sounds like heaven. I have never had that being a country bumpkin also. So glad you got to quarantine at home - so many don't and then do a runner and get into all sorts of trouble with the law. Better to be safe than sorry at home in a nice beautiful bedroom with the family doing everything. Sounds like a great holiday to me😂
I only can think about why this all can happen while a pandemic and why you are so close to each other and can be in another persons house 🤪🙈 but maybe I think about the quarantine thing and take a business trip myself (have to start a business first haha).
I love the technology we have where you literally don’t have to leave your house to survive! The only thing we have trouble getting delivered (I’m in Texas, btw.), is toilet paper 😆
More than one way to skin a cat--CATFISH! Catfish have skin, not scales, and you want it off before you cook and eat it. Can be tough for someone who doesn't skin them much. AND everyone has their "best" way to do it, so there's more than one way! Sandy from NC
I’ll be signing up for this course. It sounds AWESOME! I have a few questions that I will email about. My question here is this......I love, love, LOVE the colors in your bedroom. What are the wall colors?
I order uber eats enough to be a platinum member since covid started. I am high risk so I don't go out much. It's so dang easy. Once you start it's hard to stop.
It's like you're a princess... Haha. I imagine I'd wither away. My daughter has a fit helping me due to abdominal surgery, so I can't lift or bend down... She has to actually pick up after herself, eek
Hello Cas. Great video. I love all three of you. I listen to Dana's podcast I found Dawn watching yours videos. Your course sounds amazing. I have read all of yours and Dana's books and I also signed up but have not completed your Become a organizing expert. My problem is I start strong and fad fast. I am not sure your new course will work for me. I think I need you and the other ladies to come to my house and put a fire under me or maybe just set my house on fire. Is this course different from all the other great offering you have already done. Thanks again
Besides these ladies finally figured out how to throw out all the stuff they bought. What is it that they did with their new “amazing life?” Did they take a big trip or learn a new language?
Having less and being organized gave us the time to start blogs, RU-vid channels, podcasts and write books, do Ted talks and host tv shows on HGTV... and grow amazing businesses that SUPPORT OUR FAMILIES, all while being stay-at-home moms to our children and STILL having free time for friends, family and yes...even travel! Before we were just trying to survive each day without losing our minds, now we are all thriving. It isn't magic, anyone can do it, it's all about simplifying your life.
@@Clutterbug and most importantly, you helped encourage a lot of people to be more organized and be happier with less. And that alone would have been enough.
Yes, that's what I could have said last September when I got a huge blood clot in my leg. It was extremely painful to put weight on that leg, but once I was relaxing in bed it was fine! So this mom of three who was still battling first-trimester morning sickness and fatigue (and then mastitis on top of that) got to stay in bed being waited on for almost two weeks until the blood thinner did its work. Not ideal being unable to walk without a cane, but I couldn't complain too much...
You were feeling so anxious about the trip and holiday shopping and all before and then it turned into a girls get away/ mini mom vacation! You deserve it woman! ❤ (Also soooo excited about the new content you guys have coming in January!!!)
Erica Lucas is another RU-vid mom that has helped me in many ways. To see where she started from to now. I love real people and real clutter and real organizing solutions.
I agree, I can relate to Erica so well. She isn’t frenetic and loud, she operates and speaks at a level that really feels comfortable to me. A lot of people with clutter are dealing with low level depression and a loud, excitable person isn’t the right fit. Some of us have been stuck in a rut and a downward spiral for years. A slower approach is so helpful. I remember in one video Erica stood there, hand on her face, so overwhelmed by her clutter. I was in that room with her! She is so real! I thank her for that.
I wish I had known you were here in texas 😭 I wouldn't have tried to bother you I just love the thought of knowing you were actually close enough where I COULD bother you 😅😂🤣
Love this collab! For me as I’ve decluttered my definition of “messy” has changed. It is still messy and compared to my every day it is the extreme. But I think of it similar to how you define being old. When I was young I remember thinking you are “old” when you are in your 30’s. Then I got to my 30’s and my definition of being “old” changed to 60s/70s. Now I’m in my 40s and I think being old is 80s/90s. I feel the same way as I go thru my declutter journey. My definition of “messy” changes along the journey.
So, I'm sitting next to my husband watching this and he glances over. Then he full on turns around to look and says "Ooh, she looks lovely!" 😅 Well done on the weight loss and a massive congratulations on the course, so exciting!!
"You teach best what is it you need to learn." When you do that you teach it better to the people. And when the teacher is relatable the students get it. That's why I love you so much. Thank you for all you have thought me.
Grandma Beverly x , I'm so glad you said that coz I was distracted by the lace on the blouse, the mic cord and the little topiary tree on one side table but not on the other side table!! Nice to know it's not just me.
You are too funny, Cas! I am glad you had a great trip and are enjoying your quarantine. Sounds divine! I'm a little jealous! I can't wait to take this course with you, Dawn, and Dana. It's my Christmas present to myself! YAY ME!
Dana K White is a blast. If your house makes your head explode. She has books that will help you. I have refered back to her books and videos for motivation.
