I recently watched an interview between comedian Theo Von and musician James Blake. This interview was incredibly insightful, deep, and interesting.

He doesn't view himself as some music mastermind, but rather as someone who's still learning and growing.
As for natural talent, James doesn't really buy it. He thinks there's always a story behind, sometimes a tough one. He talks about how musicians often turn to music to express emotions they can't elsewhere.
James mentions that music wasn't enough for him to handle life pressures. He had to find other, more holistic ways. And he doesn't want his art to define him fully. He's more than just the songs he puts out. Overall, this episode was so valuable and validating to me as a producer trying to make my way.
