Insulin Tresiba is a long acting insulin. I have used it for several years and wanted to share experience and insights with you.
Some of the information I mention is based on medical research. Below are the links:
Relation between Tresiba dose and exercise: dom-pubs.onlinelibrary.wiley....
Amount Tresiba needed might be less than other basal insulins and how to adjust dose:

Thank you for this information, soon I will be switching from Basaglar to Tresiba...25 units. Basaglar is the worst, it causd my legs and feet to swell a bit. Hopefully, Tresiba will work better. 😊

Switched from Lantus to Tresiba. Best thing I ever did for my diabetes management. The issues I had with Lantis was one. Not being covered for the full 24 hours and two. Dawn phenomenon. I really can’t say I understand how Try works on a medical level, but, my blood sugars have never been more stable. I can literally go our words at a time, without injecting fast acting insulin and hangout 4-6 range. I love this insulin and would recommend it to every type one diabetic that asks me for my opinion.

So glad to hear this works well for you, I totally agree. I am curious which fastacting insulin you are on. I think there are bug differences too. Watch my video about Fiasp as well.

@@diabetesatuniversity I’m on apidra. I’ve been using that since I left it 70/30 premixed insulin. How is Short stint on Humalog when there was a shortage in my country, but I really hated it. Don’t know why, it’s just did not agree with me. Never had the ability, Try. any of the new fast acting insolence. Insulin in my country basically works like this. We’ve gotten these two or three fast acting incense, you’ll use those or die and we’ve got these two or three acting insulin, which you’ll also be using or dying. Not much option.

In insulin for the first time. Since starting it I have more hunger than before. Having to be more consistent in monitoring what and how much I eat it seems. I exercise at least 4 days x 1 hr, many times walk or golf other days. Still needing to be very aware of what and when I eat.

You can be proud of the impressive amount of exercise you do. How many units do you take? Do you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Feelings of hunger can point to hypoglycemia, so you need to be careful with that as well. I made a video about this here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-m967fLCk-ms.htmlsi=xi9qtPEQqRvbMbem

watching the video reminds me to take my daily dose now. By the way - I use the 200 u per ml version of the pen, so the amount of waste is a little bit lower...

That is great to hear. Have you thought of using the Novopen? You can get the tresiba cartridges to fill the pen with. It saves a lot of waste.

@@diabetesatuniversity not at all. And the funny reason: 10 cartridges with in total 3000 units will cost the same as 5 pens filled with 600 units each (here in Germany). We live in a weird world, I think. But I will order a refillable pen now, thank you for the tip :-)

There are two types of pens for these cartridges. One of them has half units which is useful if you are on relatively small doses, especially for bolus (with Fiasp). They come in different colors, you need to ask for a specific color. I know they have at least blue and orange.

@@holgerk.4650interesting about the prices, I had not thought it makes such a big difference
