A really cool selection of clips!! I especially loved seeing Aurora's INFP vibes outside of her music! She would probably increase her fanbase if people could have this opportunity to combine her music with her as a person. I don't know the guy in the beginning and end, but he's definitely cool. And wow, I never made the connection of Keanu Reeves being an INFP! I have a pretty severe bias towards him built in since I can't even explain to you how much I love The Matrix, add to that him giving a super fun performance as one of the main characters in a wonderful game called Cyberpunk 2077, and now seeing him as an INFP I think has escalated my Keanu fandom to dangerous heights, heheh.

As an INFP; it's hard to convince others that we are happy as we are. We don't need changing. We do a lot of soul-searching to be as authentic as we can......it's 100% by choice, not by trying to fit in. "You can't please everyone, you just have to please yourself" I think that's in a song by Ricky Nelson. Thank you for accepting us......K

INTP women are humorous in a way that’s almost like they’re on the same, but opposite wavelengths, as an INFP I definitely resonate with this.

As an infp who is forced to interact with people (more than is comfortable) I find dealing with some personality types, the ones who lack empathy for example, to be nearly intolerable. I say nearly because I am forced to tolerate them but they seem impossible to reach. I’ve given up on certain types of people. I still have compassion for them, from a distance. But I’ve started to realize any time spent on them is time wasted. I wish they would go away and live on another planet where they can just hurt each other and not even care. 😔

Which types do you find that lack empathy? I recently started seeing an ISTP and my instincts are telling me to run, but then again my instincts always tell me to run.

As for me, I’ve always had a conflict as to whether I am really an INFP or not, because even though I feel things very intensely (I love being moved to tears by music) and have a tendency to be really melancholic, I don’t really care a lot for others, and I can be extremely selfish at times. It’s really hard for me to show emotions and I cringe everything someone compliments me or shows affection. I’m also very clinical and logical when I’m planning ahead. I like formulating lists and I tend to over analyze things in a worst-case scenario way. However, when I love someone, I can be extremely passionate about it, in an idealistic and obsessive way. When that happens, I feel I can channel those intense feelings through art (music). But I’m usually reserved, clumsy, awkward, resentful and isolating. My best guess is that I’m an unhealthy INFP.

You still sound like an INFP. We do have capacity for planning. As for not caring about others...May be you are an INFP who has grown cold and bitter. We can do that too. We don't show our true feelings easily too. We are very picky about the ones we choose to share our true feelings with.We like to think about what we feel instead of just expressing our feelings.

Everything she said is truth. I'm an INFP who has an INTP bestfriend. It's true that I put a lot of effort to stay with her and she's totally herself when she's with me. When he read the poem, I remembered the ones I wrote when I was sad.

INFPs AND INTPs share the same parent and tertiary functions of extroverted intuition and introverted sensing the Infp uses functions for feeling and the intp uses functions for thinking. But both struggle with getting things done, procrastination, and desire to be comfortable.gettong stuck in Fi or Ti -Si loop.

When I was young I thought everyone just suppressed their emotions and everyone felt them as strongly as I did, so I got very inquisitive about psychology, sociology and just deep emotions. I felt like a mentally unhinged therapist. It wasn't till I realized through mbti that others just don't care about their fi or its in their shadow, something that is so important to me that rules my life others can just walk by it and never see it like I can. Its lonely having so much fi, emotions that are impossible to express fully or be seen, but it can be exhilarating and horrifying. It makes me think of others humanity and life experiences they witnessed/lived through that I will never be able to comprehend or feel exactly, but its also that way with just animals/plants and even just the environment I see, its past and future and whether they were 'fulfilled'. The subjectivity of it all, even facts are just dripping with emotions that can always change like the weather and re-emerge. I really wonder how thinkers feel, or what their internal perspectives/meaning/landscapes are because I can't just see things 'as they are' like zeros and ones or just the physical world and logic, everything is painted/ textured for me and I see where things can be 'better' or more 'beautiful' for everything humans/insects/microflora included, so its always bittersweet, intimate and impactful.

That's so interesting to read. I am not sure how to explain how exactly I feel but I am trying to be more in touch with my emotions recently (asking them questions, letting them be felt, acknowledging their existence, even acting upon some of them) and I suddenly feel as if I have been missing a crucial part of being human. I have a natural tendency to not do the things that make me happy because of *reasons* and that was just a very bad way to live. Ignoring emotions or constantly rationalising them is actually not rational because they are literal feedback on happiness and I have a tendency towards detachment from them and that moves me increasingly away from my goal of contentment. Yes I am only realising this is really impactful at aged 32 :/. You lost me with 'facts have emotions.' I cannot fathom that but would love to understand more. I also would love to experience Fi just to see what it's like. I've always wanted the ability to jump into peoples minds/bodies to experience what they were. Maybe we'd have a much better understanding and more empathy for each other because I only really have true empathy for someone if it's something I have experienced in life myself. I would also like to have others feel how I am feeling and experience life like me as I tend to feel misunderstood and struggle greatly to talk about my feelings (even physical ones) with others.

I (an INFP) have a cousin, an ISFJ, who cares for everyone in her extended family. She worries about not getting back to me soon enough whenever I contact her. I hate the stress this places her under because I am always here. I seem to exist on a plane that is not so tightly tethered to the calendar and the clock. And I can wait.

Wow, suuuuuper sweet video! It's an interesting one, because for as many ways as some fellow INFPs find to shred themselves to pieces, it's nice to know that we have some qualities inherent in us that we lose sight of that others can still see clearly. I am also glad I got to see these clips of Aurora, because I think her INFP vibe is probably nearly as strong while speaking as it is in her music. Earlier today I had a reminder of the stereotype of INFPs thinking they have a million disorders and almost cringed myself to death considering my total obsession with personality disorders, haha! Beautiful video, Sarah, thank you!

@Hinsoog
@Hinsoog 10 месяцев назад
@@Ashley-yy3de Yeah, for whatever reason it seems like quite a few INFP types are probably higher than average in a psychological trait called trait neuroticism, perhaps as a consequence of the sensitive nature of introverted feeling, but basically trait neuroticism seems to cause people to always be worried about some type of problem as well as to search for problems even to the point of finding them where none may exist, including being extra critical of oneself in ways that the person probably doesn't deserve. So if you are INFP, it's sometimes possible you may need to work on being nicer to yourself, heheh.
@Ashley-yy3de
@Ashley-yy3de 10 месяцев назад
Yes totally! You explained it very well here. Often times when you spend a lot of time internally, i feel it often leads to neuroticism because you’re only able to see your own flaws and have not yet done adequate scanning of the external world to realize that it’s completely normal and acceptable to have flaws. Often times it takes stepping away from your internal world for a bit (when u have the energy and availability) and then you’ll see you’re not uniquely bad or flawed. You’re probably a good person. The fact that you even have these thoughts is a sign of that. Learning to be less critical in general and just accept yourself and others is a major lesson I had to go through and I believe most INFPs experience

I'd like a link to the full Robert Smith interview if you have it please. This is how I have viewed pop music since I was very young. I grew up in the 80s as a kid, and as a teenager in the 90s. The 90s were an interesting time, because a lot of the music that I loved was a part of popular culture for a hot minute. Mostly heavier rock and metal that had heart, which was marketed as 'grunge' by pop culture. Then in the late 90s it was unceremoniously dumped by the music industry to make way for the likes of Britney Spears and the Back Street Boys... I only recently started to delve deeper into what it means to be an INFP myself. I feel like I have opened up many new creative avenues and paths of self discovery by learning how my cognitive stack functions. It has been enlightening. Thanks for the video.
