I also just checked the A3 and A4 against the Buick Regal, the comparison is really the A4 against the Regal, overall size, trunk volume and interior volume are much more comparable. And if you want to compare the Premium 2 trim against the Premium A4 you get the value proposition of the Buick. Especially once you add the German manufacturer's extra's for Navigation, Sunroof and such. The Buick is good value against the German imports.
Dude, how can your leg be hitting against the transmission tunnel. There is no transmission tunnel, its front wheel drive. And the hood vents are a Buick trade mark. I see people buy fake hood vents from auto zone and put them on other makes of cars to imitate the Buick Swagger.
The phone cord is not pinched when you close the lid to the storage compartment. If you would look closely/ closer, there is a spacer that allows for movement and clearance for numerous cords with the lid shut. Also, the universal garage door opener comes with the higher trim levels ( Premium and GS models). I have the Premium II trim, it has all amenities.
I upgraded my DD from a 2011 Cruze to a 16 Regal Turbo, the MSRP was just over $30k but i only paid $25k. The car is an outstanding value for that price and drives and feels much better than my old Cruze. About the "contour line" that you mention that you don't seem to like...if you look at it from a distance it seems to exist as opposite to the rear door angle....like a bookend if you will. I had to look at mine after watching this video the first time and that is just what i noticed. Anyway i love the car and would highly recommend it!
I have a loaded 2013 regal gs 2.0 275 hp / 295 fpt excellent condition, well put together . impressed ! For a muscle car guy but these times are a changing. Gas/luxury/sporty. 16,000 for it used, but would never pay full sticker of just under 41,000. But man, the value compatibility to the others in its class!!!!!! Love it so far!
After hearing what you said at 14:18, I'm just gonna say it: You are nuts. Anyone that says that this Regal is comparable size-wise to a Chevy Sonic... is nuts. You added "it is NOT THAT BIG." You said you're 5'8-ish - you're a smaller guy than I am. I'm 6'1, 240ish... I don't even keep the driver's seat all the way back on our Regal. I have to keep it forward. I've also rode in our back seat, and my head doesn't touch the headliner (and we have the moonroof in ours, which makes for less headroom!)... You must be sitting in some incredibly unusual position to make that happen. And speaking of unusual positioning, I don't know WHAT you are doing with your knee or leg or foot, whatever, that makes you press it against the center dash - because I have never had ANY such issue. And sorry, your Cruze IS. QUITE. SMALLER than this Regal, both in and out. Finally... this review is just a fine example of a Debbie Downer point of view: "Well, I like this, but not really, because it bothers me, and it's probably going to get messed up anyway, and well, I like it, but it just annoys me, so, and while it's nice, it's not that nice, it's just GM nice, so I'm going to find the cloud in the chrome lining in everything I say." I'm 6'3" and I too can sit in the back without my head touching the roof . I'll admit its a little crammed for a tall guy but no problem with my head touching the roof .

So Besides the rims, chrome band across the trunk and chrome in general and the swooped line on the side of the car, headlights, grille and fake portholes, you like the look of the car. Not sure why you were attracted to this model since almost ever exterior element you did not like.
My wife has had the 2016 Regal since 2015. I agree with you on the front grill it’s ugly! It is not a big car I have a 2012 Honda Civic their about the same size on the inside. My left knee sits on the driver side door handle which gets uncomfortable on long trips. My biggest gripe with the car is the heating & AC it just doesn’t work very well. My wife takes a blanket with her in the winter because the heater doesn’t put out much warm air. Thank god for the seat heaters. Power wise the 2.0 turbo is deceptively fast merging on the interstate you have no problem hitting 90mph before you know it.
The Regal is an Opel Insignia with a Buick badge. I find the styling quite nice and the powertrain impressive. The Regal with the GS trim and polished chrome wheels is simply beautiful!
I paid $28K with rebates and discounts for mine with navigation, moon roof, keyless start, and fat blade chrome wheels. The GS is really not a great value since the primary difference is minor cosmetic and some handling enhancements. The regular Turbo and the GS have the same turbo engine.
Well this is you and this is me I absolutely love the front of the Buick with a waterfall when the light catches it it goes from chrome and then back to black
I work at enterprise and I know at my location we've never had the regal but we've had the Buick L and it's nice and there full size we've also had the encore that's ok and a caddy SUV
So, you like the things that make it look like an Audi or MB, but hate all the things that make it a Buick? i.e. portholes, waterfall grill, etc.. BTW, The "T" is for T-type which is the 2.0 Turbo, and the Verano is the Cruze. The Regal is more in class with the Malibu. Not the same platform but both "mid size" sedans. The Sonic is considered a subcompact.
19 inch on the GS model. 17 inch on the sprot touring. Cannot take turns at higher speeds. leans and drifts. Very nice straightline acceleration. Bit of a sleeper.
The Verano is in its last year of production. It overlaps the Regal too much and there are no sales. There will be no replacement after the 2017 model year. Sedans will be the Regal (new in 2018) and the LaCrosse (new in 2017). The convertible will continue on along with the three SUVs.
The boddy tape is the same like Opel insignia or Vauxhall insignia ..but different is just the badges .and interior is the same like Opel insignia .just is modifie the grill on the front .
I think it might be trying to go back to the look of the original regal which was a sports car. I'm 5'11" and its comfortable to me. Have you actually played with the turbo? It's got some get up and go. I own one myself and it's a fun car, my brother who went to school at NCI approves of it. It handles nicely at high speeds and around turns going excess of 70 mph. Of course everyone has their own opinion, I'm just giving mine too.
All this dude does is complain if you have such a big problem with the design of the car go to gm and design one you probably don’t even know what a turbo does or what half of the components in the car do
More like a chevy malibu. Def not a cruise. The buick verano discontinued is a chevy cruise. The Regal ST edition is a nice commuter. Nothing else. Good bang for the buck.
As an American I want to like American cars, but I just can't stand them. Too many things about them scream cheap quality and not very well thought out.

I think you should have rented a Lamborghini. Too much negativity. Wtf . I have a 2012 Regal GS Turbo. It's not the same car. But lot of similarities. I love the hockey stick. And the waterfalls real.😁
And if you want to compare American to European style cars bill pay-what-you-want pay for for european-style cars or you can pay less for an American car that's the choice that's what you have to deal with
Picked up a ‘15 GS a month ago. Just under 29k miles. It’s the Crystal Red Tintcoat with 19” rims, which the previous owner dipped in gun metal grey, and I’m loving the 💩 out of it so far. I just installed DRL’s in place of the fake air inlets on both sides of the front. Looks bad ass. Love the big Brembo brakes as well. Might try adding more HP next summer but until then I’m gonna keep driving this thing cause it is a fun car to drive.
