Hi, I'm a Singaporean Malay, living in Singapore which is almost like Malaysia. Having travelled abroad and likewise I really missed the food back home as well as in Malaysia. Especially in KL tons of varieties of halal food available almost 24/7. Next of course the beautiful beaches, waterfall and cool mountain resorts. Then the abundant shopping and entertainment outlets. Last but not least I missed speaking in Malay... Yes I never expect that. Was away in NZ for almost 2 weeks with a few non-Malay colleagues, when all of a sudden while walking on the street I overheard someone spoke on his mobile in Bahasa Melayu . That really caught my attention & I really wished I cud stop n talk a while to that person in my native language... OMG!!! Never expect myself to feel that way. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 Enjoyed your video anyway. Cheers from 🇸🇬

I've lived in Japan for the past 7 years. I miss Malaysia food so much. All i want is that ketupat, rendang, nasi lemak and everything you can get at a mamak. Or just at my Granma's place in Kedah. lol. Seeing how Malaysia handled the pandemic, it's definitely the best country and I'm proud to be Malaysian. UUUUUURRGHHH but the food is definitely the number one thing I miss.

The thing I missed most about Malaysia when I studied abroad several years back, firstly was the emotional support from closest relatives and friends. Especially since it was the first time being completely on my own. Second would have been the food and the lack of proper ingredients or tools to cook foods like easy chicken rendang that my school teacher taught me.

I was studying abroad in somewhere very tumultuous so going back wasn't an option because the airport was bombed. So when I was finally scheduled to come back to Malaysia I was on-call with my mum and she asked me what I wanted to eat. She said she'll cook me anything, anything at all. And my mum is a really good cook so I wouldn't be disappointed in anything she made. My answer? _"I want ikan goreng, sambal belacan, and kangkung goreng."_ She laughed for a solid five minutes before asking, "Is that all?" To which I replied, "It's what I've been craving for a month and a half." You really do be missing even the simplest Malaysian food huh 😂😂

For you guys out there who dreaming to have vacations in Malaysia, please think again. Our beaches has been dried bout months ago, it takes bout 30mnts walks from beach to reach to the water, and locals have been saw sharks few times. Our malls closed at 3pm, restaurants at 5pm, even 7-11 closed at 7pm everyday. Hiking spots has been invaded by apes, some say Malayan Tigers also there, not to remind the snakes are everywhere! So you might consider to holiday to other countries until we find solutions for all these 😌

When Mark talked about his place where it's very British and they're drinking tea, I slowly put my Earl grey with milk away 🤣 I think it tasted pretty good, but my British friend is very upset with it 🤣🤣

How funny... we’ve swapped places! I’m a Malaysian living in Surrey. I’m always homesick. Malaysian food is the best! Good thing I can cook authentic stuff though. 😁

In KL, the mountains and jungles has its own pathways accompanied by frequent hikers. So it's actually very safe. If you want some serious extremely dangerous hiking experience, just go to Sarawak (a state in Malaysia). Not only you can meet snakes and monkeys, you could probably encounter some wild boars (yummy, yes you can hunt them. But beware because they're a lot of cases where people will shoot their own friends thinking that it's a boar. Some claimed that they got kidnap by out-worldly beings. Mystical stuff happens a lot in the quiet jungle), bats, or even random tribal community living inside the jungle itself! Oh, don't forget that Sarawak is famous with crocodiles too.

Very amusing video! I would def miss the great food - in fact, was having an awesome butter chicken from Souled Out (ordered through Grab) while watching. I wouldn't miss the traffic and kiasu people, though. Good luck in making it back to Malaysia, mate ......

When I was in Surrey, and stayed with my cousin, we cooked Malaysian food every day. Do you know that Basmati rice, and some other types of rice, is cheaper in London than in Msia?

As Malaysian here in Malaysia, I cant wait to go for a good dip at the beach or swimming pool myself after being locked for months due to covid 19. Those arent yet open to the public and hopefully they will lift the ban in a month or so. From my experience living overseas for several years, what I missed the most was the outdoor activities and variety of food especially seafood. I was living in the heartland of USA in which seafood is rather expensive. Yeah... outdoor activities and food!

In Malaysia, you are in a one stop for Malay, Chinese, India, western. You paid like 20% but you get 400% in return. It is a damn good deal.
