Hey Stephie, I love You! I've been following you since my Freshman year and I've graduated from College and now I'm studying for my CPA Boards. I'm excited for the end game!
You are so pretty Stephie! you kinda remind me of Mariah Carey with some of your actions and expressions 🤩Thank you for your insights as always, I’m currently in PA so I can relate to everything you said!
Great video Stephie! This will really help people deciding between public and industry! I have a few questions; is there a busy season in industry or are your hours, for the most part, pretty consistent throughout the year? Also, what audit industry would you recommend going into to get the best experience to transfer to industry? I’m currently in the Financial Services Group but I’m not sure if that is too limiting because it’s such a niche industry. Really love your insight into the accounting world!! It gives me a lot of motivation on where my career can go!
Ah I believe it depends on your job role in industry. For example, if you are a corporate accountant then you may have to work late or overtime at month-end to finish monthly reporting. Year-end responsibilities can also increase the amount of time you work…but the busy time shouldn’t last for more than a week or so. I have a channel about Internal Audit.
Hi friend 😇 i feel like this video was much needed you always know exactly what to post, i tell you this all the time but I rewatch like all of your vlogs😂 I feel like it’s because it reminds me of the ‘old days’ before COVID and also because it’s where I want to see myself after graduating undergrad. Two more semesters left! I just can’t wait to be on the other side. Anyways I loved your video 🥰
Hi Stephie, I just started looking through your videos again. To get some pointers on applying for jobs. I just handed in my two week notice for my first job out of college. Not accounting but workday xD.
I always find your videos helpful and packed with information. A question I have, not sure if you've covered it, is who do you report to and then who does that person report to? I'm interesting in structure of different industries. Thanks!
Hi there! I have a video about why I chose accounting. It's an old video but the answers in there hehe ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YIvKawLcAfU.html
Hey Stephie, quick question. I was talking to a PA colleague recently who started in internal audit and then switched to public. He said he left IA because it felt like coworkers within the company viewed the IAs as "the enemy" and it was uncomfortable. Have you ever felt that in IA? Thanks! :)
I personally wouldn't recommend it because I'm a risk-averse person and would want to use my savings for emergencies. But I think if a person is comfortable with that decision, have enough in savings and have prepared themselves enough to give it a go, I'd say go for it. I just personally wouldn't take the approach but that's not to say it's wrong for someone else.
