Good wrap up. I have put the Ed Yong book on hold (yikes 7 weeks). I think my favorite book in June might be The Secrets of Hartwood Hall by Amy Lumsden. It hasn’t been a stellar year for me but a few like this one stand out. Oh yes. And Demon Copperhead.

I had to wait ages for my hold for An Immense World as well. Hope your books comes in soon!

I’m glad Silver Sparrow clicked on a second read. It’s been a while since I read it, but like you, I enjoyed the switch in perspective. Two of my June favourites: Angels in America, and With or Without Angels. It was an angelic month 😂

Angels in America has been on my list since I've heard such good things about it in booktube. It's been chaos over here so sadly I haven't caught much booktube lately. Hope to catch up on a few wrap ups soon

Hope you like it! I thought it was a good mix of compelling story + interesting characters. Would appeal to a lot of readers, I think. Don't know what my problem was when I tried to read it the first time lol

I think we are currently reading the same grouping for the BookTube prize 🏆 I will be excited to hear your thoughts! That Ed Yong book sounds excellent and I am so glad he doesn’t anthropomorphize animals. That is also a huge pet peeve of mine and I will automatically turn off a nature documentary that does that because it makes me question the information they are sharing too

One of my favourite things to do is watch the reviews from the other judges in my group. So interesting to see where we converge and diverge.
