Looks really good, one of my favourites so far. The car looks nice too. Really though, Tesla can learn a thing or 2 when it comes to design, this car just looks desirable compared to the blob Model X...
I'm excited by the MG4, I'd never afford one new, but it's finally the same price as similar ICE cars. The last hurdle for electric is to introduce the cut down base models and then the new ICE car will be as good as dead.
😲 £130k is pricey and I don't see chauffeurs choosing the EQS saloon & SUV over the ICE S Class to be honest ... The AMG EQS SUV design see what I am eager to see ... Great video content as always ... Thank you 👏👏👏
Defiantly with it when you think that the only other 7 seat practical SUV is the Tesla Model X and that isn't too far off on price. I know we need more affordable cars but great to see competition on all levels.
The strategy that Telsa took, produce a high-value car, then a sedan, and finally a low cost version of their models, really can't be reproduced by EVERY other car company. What will happen is all these car companies will produce these high-value cars that will glut the market and there won't be enough people to buy them all. This is mildly OK if they are using these high-value cars to offset their investments into their new electric car factories, but a massive mistake if they end up using the cars to offset their loses on their failure to sell their existing ICE car factory productions. Cheap electric cars are... I mean, affordable electric cars ARE coming, lets hope the established car companies aren't left holding a bag of huge debt, ICE car production that no one wants and a bunch of high-value cars that no one can afford
I’m with you Eilis, I hate myself for liking it but I like it. I’m sure Mercedes will sell every single one for $130k, $150k whatever they’re charging. Does it come with AWD?
I have two remarks: 1) The 3rd row seat is far too optimistic - it makes me think it is a sponsored video: it is really small with very limited leg space and head room. 2) Hyperscreen: very nice at day of purchase, but how does it go over the lifetime of the vehicle? What if it gets a bump and you need replacement?
I can't wait till we get affordable Microcar & city car's as they are the future of cars especially in densely populated places. Also Solid State Batteries will be game changing.
Lovely Chelsea Tractor. But we need especially in London, small cheap city cars like the Ami. Maybe with a little more Mercedes luxury. Better for the roads, Cyclists and Pedestrians. Come on car industry, wake up.
So it's Business Class, not First Class but a little more comfortable than the single mother with 3 kids in Standard Class. I'm also a bit disappointed it's fingerprint and not facial recognition, similar to Face ID on an iPhone.
Does the headlight "spotlight" effect blind people? Is it sometimes dangerous? I'm regularly left either unable to see at night or disorientated with "blobs" obscuring my vision after encountering vehicles with extra-"good" headlights? Still, at least the oligarchs and thieves who drive them will not be poisoning our air at the point of cruising. K ( :
Quite the opposite. Mercedes has some of the best lights on the market, they automatically adjust what gets illuminated (for example everything around oncoming cars but not the cars themselves as to not blind the drivers)
@@MaticTheProto Hi, I was thinking also as a pedestrian walking down the roads around where I live. They don't have pavements. It's also the case that my Zoe ZE40 has almost (?) dangerously weak lights. Thanks. K ( :
I have did have my finger ready to order one of these but it seems the options I want may put this over £140k and I would not consider the base model without the hyperscreen. It seems BMW and Mercs top of the range EVs will both be about £10k above eu prices. Maybe they are trying to teach us a lesson after Brexit lol I think my money will go to the lotus Electre- I just hope the wait isn't too long
Mercedes-Benz is the first manufacturer with approved Level 3 system on serie production cars. Their system is internationally approved. Class S and EQSs are equipped with that system.
I like the look of it but has anyone else noticed that all their cars look almost identical? I sweat this car already came out? But I just looked it up and they have eqa eqb eqc and now eqs. Meh I just don't really care about a massive insanely priced SUV even if it is an ev.
Still no heat pump? If so terrible winter range. From the front all Mercedes EV look the same hideous styling. Where on video the front of the EQS looks nice and the BMW iX looks awful in real life it’s the opposite. Also the driving dynamics of the BMW made me choose for the iX.
Why has it got Hyundai wheels? Lol Looks huuuuuuge Had many Mercs over the years & if they’d had any sort of EV when I was looking to buy one, I might’ve been interested - miss my HUD, but that’s about the only thing I miss in my Tesla Great review Eilish, thanks!!
It's clear if you watch this review right after watching Jack's Aptera preview on Fully Charged that the trend towards SUVs in EVs is very poorly informed. The heavier the car, the more expensive it will be. We need mass adoption of EVs NOW to have any sort of impact on climate change ASAP. Putting so much R&D into a high energy consuming luxury EV like this is just aimed at wealthy people who prefer to ignore climate change is happening at all. Anyone who genuinely gets how urgent this situation is would not be thinking cars like this have any place in our future. Still a very entertaining video due to Eilish. But I'd urge Electroheads to be more discerning about what they accept to review. This is pretty much indistinguishable from an extended advert.
… utterly shocking that cars like this are still allowed to be built and sold, or even that manufacturers feel it is acceptable to do so. I just now need to work out how I find £150K and get my order in - hopefully it has rear-wheel steer or could be a bit challenging to park and manoeuvre… or possibly need to stretch the budget to a chauffeur as well and make it their problem 🤔
I've already written my xmas list to Santa for a chauffeur. Let's see what he can come up with 😂 no but you're right - we need far more affordable EVs on the market yesterday!!
Great clip. Looks an amazing car that plenty will lease just to have the latest and greatest and of course, anything that expensive will also attract its share of wankers. But it does seem nice 👍 especially the automated HANDLE BARS….lol. Hysterical but you’re very hot so it’s fine
No electric car is worth their ridiculous unfair high prices. No there not enough electricity in our USA to power and charge electric cars. California now does not have enough electricity supply charging the many numbers of electric cars and this horrible state now has blackout where they forbid charging. Our world is also running out of materials to make the batteries that is needed so we are now damaging and devastating our earth. When the time comes to sell or trade-in an electric cars the poor owners are going to get a huge surprise for the depreciation of their electric cars because the cost of replacing the batteries is super expensive, about $20,000.00. Electric cars owners are going to get a very huge unpleasant and ugly shock. Be smart and AVOID buying any worthless electric car. 724616
Oh, Eilis... NOOOOOooooooooo....!! 😲 You've been seduced by the opulence and bling-factor in to liking a bonkersly-expensive, hyper-inefficient, too-big-for-UK-roads SUV... Shame on you, girl - how quickly one's standards have slipped... 😉
Another very very big, very expensive thing which will easily get damaged and cost a fortune to fix. Look good in an art gallery, but in a NPC car park, or Tescos, a couple of door bangs into it and a runaway trolley or two? What happened to making cars for the real world, bumpers and rubber door protection. Am I the only person who wants a car with a bit of body protection, a car I can leave somewhere without worrying someone will scratch or dent it and it will cost £1000s to fix?
The gushing review was so tedious, I almost turned it off - was it sponsored by Mercedes? This is just greenwashed massive consumption, for rich people, and it's not "AI", it's just straightforward computer sensors and programming. Disappointing.
AI includes 'machine vision', so yeah, technically it is AI. And there's absolutely no sponsoring involved. I think you'd also be pretty blown away if you experienced this first-hand. If this isn't your bag feel free to take your disappointment elsewhere 😀
Yeah, imagine a luxury car that isn’t sold at a loss am I right? Fr tho, why are there so many idiots like you who can’t grasp that not all cars are made to be affordable for all?
To be fair... most, but not all, EVs are priced at silly levels. 30k+ for a Zoe? I think, until more Chinese vehicles come over, the only "sensibly" priced EV is the MG (which is also Chinese?) and that doesn't even shout anything towards desirability.
