What is the silliest thing that you've ever bought for your bunny?

As an owner of multiple buns I can relate to this and the variations of $ as time goes by. Also if you have multiple bunnies you can buy in bulk and save tons of money. Even if you have 1 🐇 you can buy a bale of hay or grow some of your herbs and grass like I do. I look at it like this, you can’t put a price on your happiness and if it brings you and your bun joy than you can splurge every so often. 🐰 are like our kids. Love your videos!!! 🥳

Something that's helped with my bunny cost is buying the pee pads from places like Ross or TJMAXX. Highly discounted and you can also find cat scratchers, hidey houses, carriers, bowls for their food/water, jars to keep their treats, and even pet nail clippers! Ohh!! Rugs and gates/pet doors. ;) P.s. Having autoship from Small Pet Select helps with not running out of hay or having to pick up because they deliver. And send you a text in advance in case you want to delay your order or hand and/or treats.

If you go on the internet, there are lots of home made treat recipes out there, which you can make yourself. I found some which uses hay in them as well. You do have to cook them, which hay cooking doesn’t smell good, but you can make quite a few, and they are cheaper, and you know what is in them. My bunny loved them.

I feel so proud of myself 🤣because I can actually control what I get for my buns. I TRY not to get too much unnecessary stuff but sometimes it's really hard. I'm also really lucky since the veggies and toys and fairly cheap. I spend about 20 dollars monthly on treats, veggies, and toys. For us, the most expensive thing to buy is hay since I have a super picky rabbit who will only eat SPS 3rd cut, orchard, alfalfa, and oat hay mix. But for the most part I am 'great' at controlling my money lol

It's amazing how much things can cost when one can't get them for free or cost price. I work as a longhaul truck driver in Australia, where majority product like greens and different types of hays I would transport through out the country, and I would get plenty of fresh supplies from where I would pick up my loads. Can't get fresher than right off the farms. But since my wreck 13 months ago and recovering, we or should I say my Bun hasn't had her twice weekly home delivered fresh produce from her dad. So now I get her greens 3 times a week from the green grocers instead, costing over $15, and some fresh fruits and berries once a week. Treats well we are limited in choices here in Australia for bunny treats like in US and Europe. Her pellets I get at cost price once a month or as required. Timothy Hay from Oxbow here is expensive, a small bag is almost $30, and my girl wont eat it. I save on this, when my friend who owns a dairy farm, cuts down his meadow grass to tarn into hay, so I get the fresh cut for her and she loves it, I put some aside to dry myself, so she has dry hay/grass to eat. Lasts us for about 2 months. When I go on long trips like to the US (which she knows when I'm going) she now expects me to bring her home gifts. Like stuffed toys, she has 3 favorite ones now, a gray rabbit she cuddles up to all the time, and a Squirrel which she carries around and plays with all the time. Along with Bunny treats and other toys we can't get here. I would spend over $350 of stuff for her every time I'm in the US just for her.

We can definitely relate, having 11 bunnies, when we run low on supplies our wallet feels some pain😭😅 they are so worth every penny💞🐰

Miranda is going to the vet this week for a full check up @$100…I’m on a fixed income but I end up spoiling my bunny so I end up with extra expenses that aren’t necessary but I don’t care because she’s my baby and she can have whatever she wants. I might have to down- size on some of her toys because she has so many which end up getting scattered everywhere. I live in Maine and spring is right around the corner so next month I’ll be getting her a pet carriage which is approximately $170…That’s just the way it is when someone is in love with their bunny. Miranda is my emotional support bunny and she has saved my life. Within the last 3 & 1/2 years I lost my husband (heart attack) and my 2 adult kid’s (both 38 years old) to alcoholism…they passed away one right after the other in which this all nearly killed me but then I met Miranda last year at a rescue shelter and I immediately fell in love…she’s all I have left in life but she never ceases to bring me some joy and a smile to my face…people think I’ve lost my mind because I treat her like a human baby but I don’t care what people think because no one would want to walk in my shoes…yes, Miranda saved my life and I love her so much!!! 🐰❣️🐰💕🐰❣️💕

I wasn’t expecting or factoring in treats and toys with bunny costs, which cost a lot more than you think if you’re trying to prevent your bun getting bored and destructive slash you just love them so much and want to spoil them

my buns hate me picking them up so I just pay the $20 to have the vet team do their nail trims (and because they hate being picked up I pretty much have to herd/guide them into their carrier with treats like sheep lol).

On Friday, an unexpected emergency vet trip.. my little lad had suddenly stopped eating. An afternoon in the rabbit hospital and medication to take home £148 (uk) Did I spend even more £ on him to make him want to eat, yes I did 👍

I bought my bunny a cardboard castle last week... It lasted like a day before my bunny Oreo ate it, it wasn´t expensive but I could have gave him any other box, at least I know he liked it hahah

My bun's expenses (CAD): Pellet litter - pet or hardware store - $16 - 2 Months Bale Grass Hay - local farmer - $20 - 6 Months 6-pack Romaine Lettuce - Superstore - $7 - 2 Weeks For the bare minimum/essentials my bun is about $0.75 per day, but of course he gets little goodies, too. Plus there's vet bills and I'm stocking his first aid kit so that's a little extra.

Most ridiculous thing, thats hard! There were so many over the years. I tried to do a harness so I could take them to a small grassy patch at my apartment complex safely and while I tried (and failed) to get it on one, the other chewed hers off. Like, seconds. So probably the harnesses. That was a complete and total fail. Also the little crackle tubes for them to play in. They didn't like the sound, so they never played with it. Now making castles and mazes out of cardboard boxes were a hit.

OK so I bought stacking cups foraging mat litter two bags of Oxbow treats One bag of critical care Timothy hay sticks brush balls bunny bed syringes that’s it

Honestly now on the Canada treats I wouldn’t have brought those because I am OK making my own kind of treats especially if they’re healthy but I know that I’m blind in my left eye and I’m disabled so if I did get my bunny I would have to have my niece or sister clip their nails because they can see better than me instead of paying 26 but it’s only $26 every two months so again that doesn’t seem terrible
