You are much better organised than I was on my first hammock camp. I hadn't realised just how cold I'd be on the undercarriage. You live and learn...if you're lucky! 🤣 I hope you have great fun.

You look prepared for every eventuality , which sounds sound advice to me, especially as you are parking so close to when your hammock will be. To be fair, I am exactly like you and never been hammocking before, so nice to have someone that can show you the ropes. I though about giving it a go but do not want to make an even bigger tool of myself, if it all goes tits up lol. Hope it went well for you, cheers Alan

As always great video. Haven't commented in a while but watching with a thumbs up all the time. Hammocks and the cold on the kidneys is a tough night, from experience. Bring a foam mat! Its lightweight if the under blanket gives you hassle. Bulky I know but a back up none the less. Looking forward to seeing your 1st experience. Keep them coming. Steve Ireland ☘

Hammock camping is a bit gear heavy but it is so nice to get up in the morning and my back does not hurt,, Definitely us the underquilt under the hammock or it will not do you much good... For your rain fly just run a ridge line above your hammock. Looking forward to this camp!

I have just started hammock camping. Takes a few attempts to learn the knots but after that its really enjoyable. Great nights sleep. I recommend the dd frontline line hammock xl for space and comfort. Hope you enjoy it. Great videos

Also I suggest to change the hammock straps too 2 amsteel continuous one on each end of of course And using cinch buckles from Superior straps Another thing I noticed You're free soldier hammock is very short on you The last time I seen the specs for a free soldier hammock it was only around 7 and 1/2 or it was 8 feet long not positive you need 11 foot or a 12 you seem to be quite a tall person and if you are a tall person I do suggest a 12 or 13 foot with at least a minimum of 74 in wide for maximum comfort on a diagonal lay

Looks like a lot of gear (and weight) indeed, but it is winter, so you were going to need some extra warmth anyway. And after one or two trips you might decide to leave some of the back up at home. Enjoy the hammocking, I look forward to your report vid!

Yea, was a bit of an over kill but I'd rather go in heavy at first. Once I know what's what I'll start whittling the kit down. Thanks for watching

Interesting video. I have often thought about hammock camping but like Hike Camp I've always thought it a bit gear heavy and over complicated. Looking forward to watching your first attempt at hammock camping and seeing how you get on and what you think of it.

Dont really get on with hammock camping. Did do one last winter in minus 4. Hammock.tarp. arctic bag and sleep mat. Toastie. Just dont sleep well. Looking forward to the video to see how you get on

Crazy isn't it, you would of thought not having to take a tent or sleep mat u could have a tiny pack whilst hammock camping. Doesn't seem to work out that way. Looking forward to the vid 👍
