It’s a great artist study! I did my own back in 6th form. Both a direct copy and getting my mum to do the same pose for my own study of the piece. Super cool how the expression carries over
**screams in 220** Honestly, the price isn’t even the deal. Its the fact that I won't find this anywhere and Amazon isn’t available here. If I manage to find someone willing to buy and ship these to me, shippings gonna cost a thousand and ofc no ones gonna do it for free. Best option left : Cry.
@@demoku8949 Your opinion doesn’t represent the entire population dude. It’s fine if you didn’t find it funny but don’t act like you know everyone else’s sense of humor
I LOVE your answer! "They're cheap, they're good, and they're available anywhere." As opposed to some that I've seen like ☝️🧐 "This unique piece was created with ink extracted from a Bobtail Squid in the mesopelagic zone of the Pacific ocean, and a brush fashioned from Golden Zebra tail hairs." I'm thinking, 🤔 "Hm, pretty. Next!" 😂
I love them too. When art stores first started selling them, I knew I had to get one but they were expensive. And then a Daiso was built nearby and that's where I've been buying my brush pens every since. They were affordable and quality was pretty good
If anyone is interested, you can also use Sharpie pens. I use colored Sharpie pens to outline my drawings, that way the outlines blend into the colors and look a bit more realistic. It also lets me hide any mistakes I made in the inking step 😅
I also would recommend prismacolor. The fine liners and brush markers have been my staple and they work really well with watercolor! The only thing I’ve noticed after working with them for several years is that they are not quite a true black (very slightly watered down, if that makes sense?) but I’ve grown to prefer it 😅
I remember seeing this at my art store and it’s really one of the best pens! You will literally end up using it to the end and makes it fun seeing what you can do with it~
Your channel unleashed my creativity a lot I literally mixed a red marker and yellow brown and other color pencils on top and it became so good my mom put it on the fridge and I am starting to get very good mixing and working colors and pencils so it all comes out pretty thank you I cannot appreciate how much you unleashed the artistic me
I really adore your style when it comes to line art, how effortless it looks! If you need a new medium to try at any point, scratchboard would work very well with your style :)
Beautiful drawing! Also, im definitely going to get those pens! They look amazing, and my little sister would LOVE to draw with them! She’s the artist of my family, and loves to draw constantly! Thanks for letting me know about these pens, I will surely get them for her. ❤️
@@eine4768 You're not. There is no "wrong" in making art. You've got your entire life to improve and develop your style. Trust me on that. ♥ Just keep making art. You don't always see the improvements until you look back a year or two. But I promise... you're improving.
You are quite literally one of my favorite artists and even though our art styles are completely different you inspire me to go farther in a craft that I have no real talent in (been going for about seven months on and off)
I love you so much that’s because you’ve put me out of my comfort zone with Art and made me try new things and you know to me that’s that’s just anything thank you
Thank you. I haven't drawn in years. Ink on penicl is my favorite medium. You just inspired me to buy my first sketchbook in years. I might even start a channel for my progress.
I bought these a while ago because of your videos and i ADORE them. I used to hate doing lineart because it never came out how i wanted it too, but now i actually enjoy it! Its made a big difference and im actually happy with my lineart now! Thank you for ahowing me the light!
i got these for my birthday and i love them! they’ve made me start sketching with pen more because i love the difference in line weight and their unpredictability :)
A bit late to the party I decided to buy these a couple days ago and just received it earlier. I've only done some random doodles so far but Im really liking the feel and look forward to mastering them. That aside I'm genuinely thankful for all the videos you've put so far. Been a fan since last year. You inspired me to push my art journey beyond just pencil sketches.
The thing that makes me happiest about this is your use of Jetpens. I've been using Jetpens for years, and every time I've shown it to another stationary-crazed person they've been both thrilled and furious that I'd show them such a dangerous gold mine :p
I love these pens. I took a chance on them after browsing a site that sells japanese stationary and they were an instant favorite for inking. I didn't realize they were waterproof tho and I never thought to use them with color. Thanks for teaching me something new about an old fave.
Really wanna try these out! I fell in love with Zebra's F301 stainless steel ballpoint pens just when I entered 7th grade. My dad gave an extra piece to me that he got just because I liked buying pens as a kid. The pen lasted me 3+ years! It writes so smooth too, and seems to never blot!! When I got old enough to make my own money, I bought more zebra pens 😂. Since I'm trying to get into art, definitely gonna try these!!!
A waterproof brush pen is just what I need! I just got them now! I just needed a pen which was waterproof since I love watercolours, but I also wanted a brush pen. This is the PERFECT combination!
I used to really dislike brush pens, they felt unintuitive and hard to control. But now, a few years later with three years of art school under my belt, I think I have the experience and hand control to be able to properly use and appreciate them! I now find them very fun to use, adds a lot of life to my ball-point pen sketches
I loved ink and watercolour in high school. Back then (early 1970s) we had two choices - pilot pens, which were water soluble, and India ink and pointed pen. Whenever possible, I used pointed pen, since line thickness could be varied. Also, the ink, once dry, wouldn't react with water. I tried it again a couple of years ago, and still loved it, until I spilt the ink all over the table. (Thank goodness for plastic tablecloths!) I think the brush pens a great improvement next to scrubbing ink splashes off the wall.
This is why I love your channel, your an insanely talented artist, and you give great tips and recommendations for other artists to help them learn and grow. Keep doing what your doing 🤍🤍
I bought them, and I love them. Great way to get a classic golden age comic book look without a messy brush. Thanks for the very affordable recommendation!
Accidentally found the fine one in my house and I've been using it everyday!Sure,it's old,and the ink is kind of not working as well, but it still is my favorite thing ever!
I use a similar pen from Tombow. Same style and versatility. Hobby Lobby carries them. The run about 3 bucks a pop. Archival ink, waterproof and fantastic
Hey Scott, I know you probably won’t see this, but I noticed that the zebra brush pens were added to Amazon, just in case you didn’t already know. 😊 I know that it only used to available on Blick.
