Such a good video. I am a new mama to my six month old son Judah. I'm excited for the growth that God has in store for me through motherhood, but also know it won't be easy... Which is where the growth comes from. So much for God to transform within me, I hope I will be open when I face the hard days and stages. Have you read the book M is for Mama? I just finished listening to it on audible. Abbie the author talks about some of the things you mentioned in this video. I'm sure you would enjoy that book if you haven't had a chance to read it or listen to it yet. Thanks for your videos! Blessings! PS. I like the song you end your videos with :)

So crazy you write this because I am actually finishing her book this week. Love how she doesn't hold back in that book and shoots it straight. Such an encouragement in a world that wants to dismiss sin in motherhood. Been a real challenging book for me to ponder. And congrats Suzanne, what a gift that sweet babe is. I can tell you care deeply about your motherhood, it has been one of the greatest honors of my life. I think you will find it to be the same for you! Thank you For this video❤I can relate to what you are saying because I never thought I was an impatient person but there was a stage where I was looking after young kids everyday and I felt myself being impatient with them and snapping at them which is out of My character. But when I took a step back and Assessed myself, I realise that it was easy to speak to children with less respect because they just take it whereas that wouldn’t be an acceptable way to speak/deal with grownups … I had to change that because the kids may be little but they deserve to be treated with love and respect as well…

Yes love this! I look at my kids and think wow you are just a tiny human, you will be big one day. I can also remember being little and looked down on in moments by some adults, so this reminder you gave is so good for me today as I get ready to be mama today!

Can not express how much I adore this video. Have you read Abbie Halberdstats book "M is for Mamma"? I think you would love it, she touches on a lot of this and from a biblical perspective. love these 3 tenants!! Number 2 is my favorite and I've always said that even about marriage. I didn't realize how selfish I was until I was married. And motherhood brings these things even more to light Praise God.

Yes I am actually finishing that book tonight for my book club tomorrow, so it is funny you bring that book up. Thanks for the encouragement! And yes, I think I have progressed in not being as selfish or angry and boom there it is again, so grateful for forgiveness and newness through Jesus, but yes I think so much of this can be applied to marriage too!
