I think the saddest part of this video is that you caged yourself into staying in Beirut. You would have experienced much more if you went to different parts of Lebanon, which are cheaper and honestly just superior in almost every way. Beaches, weather, food etc.. Thank you for visiting and I'm sorry for your experience with the taxi drivers, this seems to be a universal thing where taxi drivers try to scam the tourists, I know in Europe they've been regulating it but I doubt Lebanon will catch up in that department anytime soon.

@@mindfulnas - Byblos (also called Jbeil, one of the oldest continuously inhabited towns in the world) - Qadisha Valley (Holy Valley in the Syriac language; filled with ancient cliffside monasteries; extremely lush and green, especially in spring) - Bcharre & the cedars of God (ancient cedar trees and great views of the Qadisha Valley). - Baalbek (the best preserved Roman ruins in the world, and some of the largest Roman temples, with very few tourists; there are also Byzantine and Islamic layers of history) - Douma (typical Lebanese mountain village) - Deir Al Qamar (another beautiful village) & Beiteddine Palace (architectural gem) - Faqra Roman ruins - Jeita Grotto (amazing cave with a section of walking and a section of boat ride underground) - Harissa (statue of Mary overlooking Jounieh Bay; breathtaking views) & Saint Paul Melkite Basilica. There’s a cable car taking you up there. I could go on for days but you should absolutely look up images of these places

Thanks . I love ❤️ lebanon and the lebanese people. Years ago I went to the beautiful wineries ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️ and our lady of lebanon and byblos . I think lebanese red wine is the best in the world . I can't afford to visit again but whether sunni Shia maronite druze EVERYONE was really kind and friendly. Thank you for the video .

I found Beirut expensive while I was living in Lebanon, pre-Covid. So I based myself out of Tripoli. Much cheaper, has a more Mid-East vibe, but less things to do (definitely no vegan hospital there). Sorry to hear you got scammed. I like how you take it as a learning point. And yes the Lebanese are super resilient - admirable & unfortunate (because of their geography) at the same time.

Good info Naser, interesting about the vegan hospital. Although its on my list, maybe will hold off going to Beirut anytime soon. Maybe the outlying areas are better?

Thank you Philip 🙏 It may not be the best time to visit, although more likely than not your travel would go smoothly I’m not too familiar with other parts of Lebanon, but I have heard of some really beautiful coastline resorts

Hello Naser, what hotel did you stay at? I’m planning on traveling there next week, but only stay for 4 nights. Any other advice you can give me? Thank you!

Enjoy! I stayed at the Grand Meshmosh hostel last time. Biggest recommendation is to ask your hotel to arrange your ride from the airport 🙂

I’m Lebanese and this is all lies. This is what happens when u travel without research or knowledge and book a hostel in the worst areas in Lebanon still war torn expecting to have an awesome vacation for $100 in 2 weeks Do me a favor and google jounieh , kaslik, Jbeil Byblos, Jeita grotto , skiing and the many other wonderful things. Dude stuck himself in a shithole , did zero research and refused to spend a few extra dollars to see what lebanon is about

@@mindfulnas I get that I’m not saying your misleading people, but for someone watching the video with no knowledge it can be summarized in one sentence. Do your research before going to any country. Lebanon is great if you know a local or two, and if you are a seasoned traveler. But don’t expect western like simplicity and user friendliness.
