You're thinking of when Piccolo was training with Gohan just before Vegeta and Nappa showed up. 4Kids edited Gohan's eye to make it look like he never had a black eye, not his entire face.

It is oddly a common thing that 4kids will replace all the Asian food in Animes with American looking food or the character would say an American food name instead, like the infamous case of Brock's jelly donuts from Pokemon. I think people theorize this is not because of them seeing the food as offensive, but because not many kids would "relate" to eating that food or something, and so they replace it with something they believe a kid would eat or like better

Yes, I understand it, it's his hand but squid meat is also correct, but there is this time he barely escaped being eaten by other people, otherwise if they ate it, they would vomit now, I say, fish do not eat squid. I think it was considered disturbing to put any main character's body parts in a meal in the episode scenes in the show, so it wasn't seen in 4Kids either because they did it so the kids wouldn't notice that. Besides, it's good that they hide it thanks to normal meals, I think it's ridiculous to have an squid hand in sushi
