For Frogmon I love having it digivolve to Petaldramon and then ElDoradimon.

Big wow for Ponchomon's line. Finally, that digimon got good treatment and Pumpkinmon is really solid pick for Ponchomon. For Nohemon, yes, I know that the crow is real digimon, but it could have some good connection with Zamielmon, who also has archery attacks. And, good mega for that line could be Pinocchimon, Lotusmon (why not) or even some ancient digimon (A. Troiamon or A. Irismon).

That Veemon line feels GREAT. Like, I could really see that happening

Maybe Tonosama Mamemon can be a ShogunGekomon mega? In addition to the shared prefix in Japan, he works great for Sincerity, traditional Japanese aesthetics + fights with cherry blossoms for the plant life connection.

An evolution I like for Nohemon is Zamielmon to keep the archer/ranger theme. After that it could go either into Pinochimon/Puppetmon to go back to the puppet type of Nohemon and also have a general of the Big Death-Stars evolving into one of the Dark masters or the new Cernumon who has hunting horn as horns and is based on Cernunnos a god often associated with the wild hunt to keep an hunter theme in the line.

I've always liked Pumpmon as an evo for Panchomon

5:25 I always thought that ShogunGekomon deserved a mega but I hadn't even considered ExTyrannomon... Thinking about it, there are so many Digimon that are over 25 years old at this point like Cyclomon, Roachmon, Drimogemon and Jyagamon as well without canon evos

I like the progression of Nohemon to Vulturemon, just feels like such a tone shift into it and then back into Ravemon. I love how all of these lines feel distinct next to each other with each of them being able to take the attributes of the virtue in their own path.

I understand what you mean for Yaksamon, but I personally would have done Yaksamon to Grademon because the two training swords turn into actual swords and finally to Gaiomon, which makes sense and Gaiomon is an X-Antibody Digimon, just like Grademon.

No lies, aside from Vulturemon, I managed to pick the same ones you did!! When you got to Gatomon, I thought to myself "I would like Bancho Lilymon for mega, but my lady Babamon is so Japanese wiselady and she hasn't seen any time out yet. But no, surely he wouldn’t..." Then you listed her!!! AHHHHH! ❤❤❤ Also I chose Ebonwumon for my Frogmon-pick, but Eldoradimon is an excellent non-sovereign choice I didn't consider!

Man ShogunGekomon really does need that perfect evolution. I've wanted something that incorporated the horns for a while. Best I can think of is JumboGamemon. Which isn't awful for Frogmon either, but it does lose too much of the leaves admittedly. As usual though, V-mon feasting with that line😂

Another connection with vulturemon, that was probably unintentional. It very much gives stingmon vibes for that beginning. Part of Ken's redemption, where he tried to play as a solo act.

We recently came up witha fun line for Yaksamon. Kotemon> Yaksamon> karatenmon> Slashangemon. Focusing on the magical swordsmen themes as well as a strong sense of justice that is mentioned in Kotemon, yaksamon, and slashangemon. Karatenmon sort of acts as a bridge to introduce the winged elements that then exist in Slashagemon. All of these lines you've picked out are pretty cool! I think my favorite part is Ponchomon lines just because pumpkinmon and Patamon are some of our favorites, and the spooky elements fit well!!

Additional point for Kabukimon -> Blossomon: I can kind of see the head petal things (full honesty: I have no idea if they're meant to actually _be_ petals or what) on Kabukimon growing out of control into Blossomon's flower head.

I have had a idea since back to the 2nd and 4th season of Digimon. What if you could use more than one Digi Egg on one Digimon? Including those, which already digivolved either naturally or by Jogress/DNA digivolution? For example: Kindness used on Stingmon. Courage and Friendship used on Xveemon. Courage, Friendship and Kindness used on Paildramon. All digi eggs used on Imperialdramon (Fighter Mode).

just had a random idea for a fixed Sincerity armor for Patamon Kurokomon- A leafy ninja who can hide in plain sight. To balance with Gatomon's Kabukimon as the Kuroko were basically the stage hands for Kabuki theater.

For shogungekomom to evolve into i like bacchusmon a lot. If i remember correctly shogugekomon had connections with sake in the anime. And the share a roundish shape and red-like colour. Also both are related to parties and such

for Impmon/Yakzamon you could also use Gaioumon/Samudramon as the Mega, a Dragon-Man Samurai

I tend to interpret the Sincerity theme as grass + weapons

I can easily imagine a variant Blossomon, perhaps a KabukiBlossomon, which is the same as Blossomon but with Kabukimon style masks/faces in place of the regular faces.

I think rather than Babamon something that fits Kabukimon and Blossomon theme really well is Hydramon where those flower/vine arms turn into heads...

Yeah, Babamon is a cursed Rosemon. Is actually a heavy plot point in the Digimon TCG videogame that released on the PS1.

I think if you took Shawujinmon you could make it easily evolve into Ebonwumon or El Doradimon while having an Ultimate who might fit a bit better aesthetically for both Frogmon and who of the two you decide to have him evo into

An Evo I think works for Oboromon is Mitamamon, not sure why, just feels like it fits to me.

I love the thematic connections between Babamon and Gatomon so I don't suggest this as a replacement (as a bonus: Jijimon, who acts as a counterpart to Babamon in a lot of media, has a similar paw on his staff to SaberLeomon's claws IMO), but honestly I think BanchoLilymon makes a great Blossomon evolution in general, having that connection to Rosemon as well with her vine yo-yo, and I can see the through line from Kabuki to Blosso to BanchoLily. Gatomon makes an obvious outlier in that line but that just kinda comes with the territory of these evolutions - BanchoLilymon is humanoid like Angewomon, so there, LOL

Shogun Gekomon digivolving into Emperor Gekomon sounds good moving up in rank from ninja to shogun to emperor

I can only imagine how much restraint it took not to have Blossomon evolve into Hydramon

Leviamon being Gekomon mega makes also sense

I think Pumpkinmon works well in this specific line because Ponchomon is already the odd one out that doesn't follow the traditional japanese style. And Pumpkinmon being a Halloween Pumpkin he has heavy American vibes going and which does kinda connect to Mimi in a weird way. And Patamon does have a connection to Pumpkinmon from that one episode that traumatised a generation during the Myotismon Arc.

I feel like the armor digimon are usually just champions but the idea is that the ones who use the digimental are stronger. kinda like how rapidmon gold is a mega

For Yaksamon, I have read in the past that Yaksa served under Píshāméntiān, one of the four holy kings. Thus the evolutionary could go Veemon-Yaksamon-Kyukimon-Takutoumon. In regard to Scarecrowmon becoming Vulturemon, in the light novel The Rising of the Shield Hero, Itsuki, the bow hero, could transform his bow into a gun in the later books. Finally, on the note of Kabukimon, I prefer she digivolved into Lilamon then Babamon. Lilamon screams a more elegant and refine dancer. Babamon could represent the retired dancer and teacher for the future generations. I do like your choices, I am just giving my two-cents.

I always figured the golden digimentals were the super forms, and kinda always thought any digimon they make would be mega level altho I wonder if armor digivolution would work on higher level digimon? like, if exveemon used courage, would he slide evolve into flamedramon, would he digivolve into a flamedramon that's just at a higher level, or turn into a brand new armor digimon with exveemon as the base rather than veemon this idea could work thematically too! like how veemon can't maintain magnamon due to the power, higher levels might drain the energy faster, like ssj3 in dbz. it could be a fun narrative push to raise the stakes of the battle

Kabukimon always felt like an Ultimate for me

I don't hate Babamon as a pick, but I think there could be an argument for a Kuzuhamon or Sakuyamon Maid. Having a Shinto Priestess as the stand in for an angel like creature is fun, but the big paper fan also kinda works as a plant stand-in in my opinion, and it kinda goes full circle with the Kabuki dress thing. Kuzuhamon could be a thing about the darkness in Tailmon as a digimon, and its own maid mode could be a better fit IMHO, but then the color palette is out the window, unless you're counting Blossomon's petals or something. But it really is weird how there are no good ShogunGekomon megas huh

Karn EX just hear me out...when it comes to Digimon my knowledge isn't 100% there more like a good 75%. But with Nohemon digivolution, did you ever thought of going outside the box. Since Wormmon a worm, turns into Nohemon that is a birdish digimon, it can go the route of prey to predator. Birds eat worms, so for Nohemon can turn into Mihiramon a cat like digimon. Then for the mega it could turn into a dog like digimon, like Anubismon. Food for thought, always enjoy watching your videos.

oh, oh! for ponchomon I like the idea of EITHER boutmon > shroudmon to preserve the Japanese aesthetic as well as the more fighting focus of togemon OR volcamon > pilevolcamon to both preserve the more punchy vibes of ponchomon and togemon, but leaning more into the Latinx vibes of ponchomon! Mimi definitely seems like the type to vacation in Mexico, so maybe some of that energy got into the digimental lmao

Continuing off of my last comment if Ken does remain evil he could learn from his failure with chimeramon and the dark spiral and create something new the dark helix which he tests on Wormon causing him to digivolve to Darkstingmon. Ken then moves on to use Darkstingmon to gather more slaves to build the dark tower a perfected version of the dark spire and use it to bring back Myotismon.

What do you think a genuinely universal Digidestined team could look like? Given how global Digimon is now, I think it's a missed opportunity for all the Digidestined as a maincast only being composed of only Japanese kids. And given connections to the mystical side of things, and a lot of magically-inspired Digimon having a European theme to them, Witchenly's anime series could have the Digidestined truly been from different nationalities and even represent different Fantasy tropes and some of them could practice different kinds of magical traditions that help tie into their Digimon partners.

I'm surprised you didn't think of Kabukimon to Taomon to Sakuyamon as an obvious evolution line. Sure it's typically the Renamon to Kyubimon evolution line but Kyubimon and Kabukimon are very similar names and Kabukimon and Taomon are very similar Digimon so I could absolutely see that connection working. I don't think that Sakuyamon works as well as a Gatomon evolution as it does in the Renamon evolution line and you could swap out the Mega if you wanted to. I just couldn't think of anything that would work better. But Kubukimon to Taomonworks really well as an evolution in my opinion. Alternatively because Gatomon is actually a champion anyway I could see an evolution line where Taomon is her Ultimate and Kabukimon is the Mega. However I don't really like the idea of using something that's not a Golden armor evolution as a Mega it's just the only place it really fits if we keep the other two at their actual levels while translating the Armor into a traditional evolution line. Gatomon is always weird to work with when she's not really a Rookie even though the Anime treats her that way.

For the Necklace of *Rosemon/Babamon,* that's known as *the 'Tifaret'* - a Spiritual Bead Necklace that becomes empowered and is employed as an Attack *when Rosemon enters its Burst Mode.* I assume the *Crest of Light* on it is _meant to portray that sense of Spiritual Holiness to it,_ given that Religious Faith isn't necessarily followed in the Digital World, just the Data about it, and *the Angelic Digimon and the Crest of Light that is heavily related to them* is *_the closest thing to a (Legally-Usable) Holy Symbol they had at the Time..._* On a Different note, has Anyone ever explained exactly why in _Digimon Tamers_ the *DigiEntelechia* - the System Program that initiates Digivolution, _known as the 'Light of Digivolution' to the Dubbed Audience_ - was taken and reformed into *Calumon/Culumon?* There were some excuses given in games like the _Digimon World DS_ series of games, but I don't think that'd be Translatable to the Tamers World, and I don't believe the Infighting between the *Digimon Sovereigns* merits that sort of Measure - plus *the whole D-Reaper thing* came completely out of Nowhere with no sort of Prophetic Predictions foreshadowing it, and there'd be _no reason it'd target the DigiEntelechia to warrant the Transformation to begin with._ AFaIK, the Standing Explanation for _Tamers_ is that *"it just Suddenly gained a Digimon Form, and a desire to Explore and Experience the Digital World for itself"...*

6:04 It isn't the cleanest fit, and I normally prefer Eldoradimon and Ebonwumon anyway if we are coming from ShogunGekomon maybe JumboGamemon? We do lose also of grass elements, but ShogunGekomon was already waning on those. It also keeps the trend of the 3 colors switching places. The red from Frogmon's back becomes ShogunGekomon's body, and then JumboGamemon's belly. JumboGame matches their color schemes of Yellow, Red and Green pretty well, and then maybe the whites on Frogmon and ShogunGekomon. ( Shameless Self Promotion, I also recently made a WaterLilymon and EmpressGekomon ultimate and mega that could work here, in fact I pictured them as possible evolutions for Frogmon and Ranamon, maybe not for Cody's Frogmon, as Armadillomon presents male, but from a Frogmon they could work.) However, if we just did a completely new ultimate and mega, how about Ghilliedhumon and Tlalocmon? I had the connection of those two in a frog themed line pointed out to me on your discord when trying to make a new line for Ranamon, but I think they work just as well for Frogmon if not more so.
