I could just understand you wrong. I found out Beetle Typ5c got produced until 7. 2019. It is also inspired by the old one.

Um......I don't mean to be rude, but that is an old concept. VW did a good job modernizing the current Beetle, which is very proportional to the vintage model. But it is still a flop because that old style doesn't flow anymore....

@@ayyazmahmood2197 The thing about the new beetle is that it was bloated and expensive. The original was a tiny car compared to the 5th gen golf platform. I don't get why they didn't use the Polo platform to make something smaller and more affordable, in direct competition with the Fiat 500 and the new mini. Despite their mechanical issues, both of those retro-design cars weren't a flop, so the argument of 'the old style just doesn't flow anymore' doesn't hold much water. Of course, the mini and the 500 also increased in size, but they did remain small compared to many of their contemporaries, and certainly compared to the new beetle.
