It might have been the only component that wouldn't change in millennia so was the safest place to hide the subroutine. Brilliant! What a way to explain one of the shows most enduring symbols.
What's absolutely golden is the tiny voice clip of Colin Baker from 'The Five-Ish Doctors' bragging about himself whilst trying to force his family to watch the Vengeance on Varos DVD. "Look, even more of me!" How many fan points do I get for spotting that? 😅
I love the idea of all the future doctors coming to gallifrey as like a rite of passage. Not just to help the others, but to give the, hope that the universe will always have a doctor to save it.
Blows me away. I gotta say, for sheer hard work, research, creativity, cleverness and wit, this is one of the best pieces of fan art I have ever, ever seen. Seriously good.
Whenever I watch "Day of the Doctor," I always stop it at the appropriate place, and watch "Gallifrey Stands." It's how I imagined DOTD would do it. Thanks for turning it into a short!
I don't know why, but every time I watch this and when it get to the part where more and more Doctors show up and they say says a like 300 then Four says 338 it just feels so incomprehensible to me that there are that many Doctors and more. I love that part so much!!
How have I missed this and how one year and a month on can this work of genius only have 36 comments. This is genius and you should be very proud of this incredible achievement. It is the most exciting bit of visual Who I have seen since Capaldi left the series. Fantastic.
I commented too soon before it got to the best part. Actually fantastic how much effort went into this adding the newer Doctors. Literally recreated that shiver of excitement I got watching this live the first time.
never mind as long as your hearts are in the right place mad Dr who fan since the SEVENTIES warren and ingrid Melbourne Australia 👍🇦🇺😎👽🤓👽 God bless you and your family
I always thought it was weird that they had Capaldi say "all 13!" instead of something more open like "More than 12!" "All 13" made it sound like either he was the last, or no future Doctor was invloved. Either way, bleak prospect. Why wouldn't Jodie and Ncuti be there?? I like that this not only included Jodie, but left room for at least 324 future incarnations.
At some point in classic who and even new who, there has to be a scene of the doctors conducting some random calculations and saying some random shit and we wouldn't find out the Day of the Doctors would happen til it did several real world decades later which would make us go back to see what they really were up to ❤
It just doesn't get any better than this. The other day I had watched the original planet of the apes, The shining, and some Pertwee era Doctor Who. That night I had a dream that Pertwee's Doctor landed right in the middle of ape city and it wasn't long before Pertwee " Corrected " the apes. Sounds corny I know.
The amount of time and effort you must've put in this is just mind blowing. And I REALLY wanted to say thank you for including 13, she gets so much hate but she's just as much of The Doctor as any of the others. So it really made me smile; thank you for this awesome vid!
Jodie was a great Doctor, but she got shafted by an awful showrunner. I'm still hoping Big Finish will get to give her some better material, I just don't want to say goodbye yet.
@@randomman-j7u It's hard to describe exactly why you enjoy an actor, but I'll give it my best shot. She reminds me a lot of Troughton. Lots of Doctors, especially in the revival era, pick up Troughton's goofy, slightly nervous energy as a kind of facade. They're trying to keep people around them at ease, put their enemies off-guard, that sort of thing. But with Troughton's Doctor, none of it is an act. He *is* a cheerful, slightly paranoid sort of space hobo going on adventures through time. 13 is much the same way - For the first time in the revival era, the cheeriness isn't another move on the chess board. I love chess master Doctors, 7 and Ace are one of the best pairs the franchise has ever had, but I also love the opposite.
I'vé never seen this video before, so finding it today makes it a treasure. Thank you for compiling and editing this video, including all the Doctors you did, and for using "The Shepard Boy" as its soundtrack. I'm going to watch this a few more times now. Thank you again.
With a small assist from Richard Hurndall and David Bradley. If you really want to mess people up, edit in Ncuti Gatwa when some video of him comes available, or just use his "What in the hell is going on?" clip.
@@UltraCraftYT222 Yes you are correct, But this youtube channel added Jodie’s Doctor to the confession dial’s video. It would be cool if over the years people just add more and more Doctors
Graphical a great experience everlasting tale one can hopefully think someday there's a Graphic Novel about this story with extended stories ones that were left out of the series episode? Doctors United wish they all were still around that's William and Patrick and Jon but we have them in this landmark story and that's worth ìt the Legends of Doctor Who definitely have a lasting impact on generation of us fans, one day one day the story will come full circle with the wrong way round?
I always wondered why no one commented on this. Did anyone count the number of tardises in the Gallifrey stands scene. They go by too fast for me. (We are only seeing one side of the planet).
That would be funny if Jodie was in Day of the Doctor, and the classic doctors like William Hartnell would witness that they eventually become a woman. Now imagine that! 😂
