This What-If idea has a bit of needed explanation first... In the Star Wars Battlepod arcade game there's a mission called Vader's Revenge (full playthroughs can be found on RU-vid) that shows the DS1 explode in a manner that leaves the superlaser intact and Tarkin alive (and presumably the other super high ranking characters from that one meeting scene in the film), the rebels steal the superlaser "core" and Vader stops them (also killing Han and Chewbacca by destroying the Falcon in the planet Yavin's upper atmosphere) which is the mission's win state. My what-if question is: What if the DS1 did explode as shown in that mission with Tarkin (also assuming the other high ranking characters survived too.) and the Rebellion actually managed to successfully steal the superlaser "core" (as well as Han, Chewbacca and the Falcon not being blown up)?
I do not care if we know Dooku as a villain, I have loved the character since I was young. He was wise and well versed, just misguided. I personally would have loved to have been his Padawan.
Sidious was a master manipulator. Dooku didnt want to kill the jedi just end their dogmatic ways. Sidious just made an argument that the only way to do so was eradicating them. Much like how he manipulated anakin in believing he could save padme but had to kill the order 1st. Dooku as an old jedi could have made all younglings masters at dueling, order 66 with would have failed and vader would have been wiped out by younglings trained in form 2 and 7 if dooku and windu focused on training them. Anakins form 5 and dookus 2 were too much for jedi to defend against
@@ericcanup4994I mean, he looked at Yaddle, the Jedi, his friend, that cared enough about him to investigate and check on him after Qui-Gon died, in the eyes and killed her cold. Definitely a disillusioned villain, whether his opinions were right or wrong.
Dooku training Anakin is a great what if. what if the Jedi refused to fight in the clone wars and instead help people affected by it no matter the side.
Would Order 66 even be viable here? Order 66 specifically commands the Clones to remove Jedi Officers from power with lethal force. But if the Jedi aren’t Republic officers then they’re exempt from Order 66. Imagine if the Commanders just stand there and do nothing if Order 66 is executed
@@TheUncivilizedNationconsidering that they attacked Ashoka, they would still attack the jedi, but this theory would make it unviable for a different reason, that being that the clones couldn’t get close enough to the jedi to kill a lot of them so it wouldn’t even be worth going through with
Finally some credit for Yaddle and decent conclusion for her arc. That's exactly what Yaddle would do. Let's see if Oppo Rancisis will get some credit as well one day. I think he is a massively underrated Jedi. In this battle, his incredible skill with Battle Meditation would have really helped.
I really feel like Dooku was definitely another father figure Anakin could’ve used. I feel like both of their interactions together as master and student would’ve been very beneficial to the order and it could’ve changed it for the better! You did a great job on this what if! also 17th attempt of what if Anakin Skywalker and Galen Marek were rivals and trained together.
What an amazing story. I truly loved all the different masters training Anakin especially Dooku and Kenobi. I loved Plo finding his ancient order. Also liked the bonsing with Mace. Thanks for the adventures
That was a great story, I think things would have turned out a lot better had Anakin been trained as your story suggested. It was definitely one of the best stories that you have ever told.
Great story, I liked the way you had the Sith return. It felt a little weird at first for Palpatine to attack the Jedi head on, but after thinking about it, it’s not like he had many other options. Especially without Dooku, either way, I liked it all in the end. It all felt natural while not treading the same tired path other What-Ifs regarding who trains Anakin so that’s always a plus.
This is one of my favorite what if ideas, simply due to how similar Dokku is to Anakin in a lot of ways. Hell in some ways Dooku was, albeit to a lesser extent, the Anakin of his generation, heck that might be part of the reason he disliked Anakin so much in canon, like looking at another younger prodigy he has even more potential than he once did. But a Jedi Dooku that never fell to the dark side would have been a superb master to Anakin, and one who'd have taught him to question some of the flaws in the Order's teachings. Plus Anakin would be an absolute beast in saber combat, even more so than than canon.
I feel like this is close to what would’ve happened if Sidious had not corrupted Dooku. The reason it didn’t would be that Dooku was already working with Sidious by the time of Qui-Gon’s death. It took time to convince his friend Sifo-Dyas to commission the clone army. After commissioning the army Sifo-Dyas was then sent to negotiate with the Pikes by Supreme Chancellor Vallorum. The pikes then killed Sifo on Dooku’s orders. So by the time of Qui-Gon’s death Dooku had already turned to the dark side. Interestingly this probably also means that in the weeks leading up to Darth Plagueis’s death there were actually four Sith Lords not two.
Honestly I don’t see him managing it. He’s an incredible duelist, as good or better than mace windu. But at the same time windu had the advantage of vapaad and dooku was aging.
@@5stargrim Kind of the funny thing about that match up. Windu's vapaad is great against dark siders, so dark side Dooku would be at a disadvantage where light side Dooku would be in a better position in that match up. Dooku is however quite good at getting in people's head, so he might be able to break Windu's focus, but its unlikely.
@@dreadrath Dooku and Windu have had a canon duel on Ridley in a 2020 comic that takes place late in the Clone Wars. Mace's Vaapad was completely ineffective on Dooku. Dooku is not like other Sith, he can selectively use the Dark Side. Without Vaapad, Mace was unable to make any headway against Dooku. It was a pretty even draw as both men got in a pretty good Force Push. Dooku was having a much easier time of things than Sidious did for sure. One could even say Dooku was enjoying it, like the joy of actually being challenged by a worthy opponent after spending years toying with Anakin, and others who were not at his level (Anakin was not yet there until he leveled up).
You're at it again, Mr. Pente Patrol. Being trained by Dooku is the best thing for Anakin to excel very well with potential, and Obi-Wan being close to Anakin, made as brothers, is a great way to show their bond. Yaddle and Plo Koon are the people Anakin needed for guidance and what I love about this story is that you have Windu apologizing to Anakin for being too cold and trying to push away from the Order. Even better, there is no Order 66, only Sith raiding the Jedi Temple led by Darth Sidious ( Sheev Palpatine) and Pong Krell. This is a good choice for Sidious since Krell has a lot of darkness in him and is kind of a psychopath with no self-awareness and no regard for life. I was sad that Yaddle died from the story, but hey, it's your story; I don't mind. The Sith attack on the Jedi Temple gives the Jedi a wake call to become a better version of themselves and start helping people who need the help they need, not relying on the senate. This is an incredible story; you made my friend, and I like how the Jedi can expand their organizations to help many people across the galaxy. It is similar to the High Republic with the Jedi. The latter actually helps people in peaceful times. I'll give this video 100 out of 100, and I really wanted to know if there would be a sequel to this or not. Because this is a well-done masterpiece with effort and hard work. So please keep up the fantastic job, and may the force be with you!
Bro this is the best alternate Starwars Fiction I have ever heard. It's satisfying in how it doesn't just follow the same path as the prequals and other fictions. Instead, it is something truly original. I cannot overstate how good this is and I hope for you the best of luck. And maybe consider a sequel?
I love your what-if videos. They are all very well written. What about Asoka? How about "what if Plo Kun trained Anakin?" When the Jedi counsel denied him when Qui Gon Gyn introduced him, Plo kune and Gym talked. Gyn knew he may not live and asked for Plo Kun to help. This way, the chosen one would still train Asoka and Baress Offee could train under Plo kun.
I like what you did with Dooku and Obi-wan. You gave them their own character arcs instead of just "Dooku is a great teacher and the best that Anakin could've had. Also Obi-wan trained another padawan somewhere" like other what if Dooku trained Anakin videos out there
I did enjoy this story although I had to rewind periodically because it was a bit hard to follow at times. It was a unique angle on how things could have gone and I think doing what you did with Sidious added much needed balance so that neither side was over powered. What if Jocasta Nu trained Anakin? For this what if I suggest, as much as I like Obi-wan's character, that the fight with Darth Maul on Naboo end in some kind of triple kill where Qui-gon, Obi-wan, and Maul all die on Naboo during or as a result of the battle, then because of his age Anakin is turned over to Jocasta Nu due to his age and not wanting some one so strong in the force to simply be turned away to potentially become a Dark Jedi or Sith. This could be an incredible story utilizing rare force abilities that few Jedi learn or know, you could even bring in some from legends or make some up that fit within the canon or legends, I know this is a tricky what if idea, but it could be great.
I have to agree. Great story. The narration and well thought out research in each script is very compelling. Well done! However, I do have one critique. The music, though a beautiful orchestral arrangement which fits the story you're telling perfectly, tends to become very loud at times. Almost overtaking and distracting from the narration itself. Other than that, keep up the great work. And here is a What if suggestion: What if after Qui-Gon's funeral Anakin was taken in by one of Queen Amidala's handmaidens. Shortly afterward, Queen Amidala herself secretly paid for Shmi Skywalker's freedom and set her up in a new home on Naboo, allowing mother and son to live peacefully together.
Wow I really liked this one. Being trained by multiple masters Is really cool and palpatine doing a sith army instead of something different with the clone wars everything was really unique and awesome about this one. That gives me a idea. What if Palpatine excited order 66 before Anakin was born or discovered.
a very well thought out story. once again good job on the use of multiple unexplored storylines to fully illustrate all the different ways that anakin could have fully realized his destiny without darth vader, i also love the use of the sith eternal army to represent how Palpatine would react to the chosen one being truly powerful in the light and not having a chance to fully get any hooks in himself. I did really like the use of multiple jedi masters to teach anakin, as that would be the best way to cover all the bases of what being the chosen one is and what anakin could do if he had the best masters of the various different disciplines teach him. it really kinda makes me want to see a what if where all of the old sithlord ogs come to the future and take anakin from his mother and truly taught him the ways of the Old Sith versus what palpatine called the teaching him the dark side as vader, but that was no true sith teachings as he kind of lost interest in teaching vader anything after he lost to kenobi. but also in this multiple masters coming together to mold the most powerful dark side being with the sith battlemaster who never lost a saber battle to nihilus showing him some of his techniques and perhaps naga sadow and exar kun showing him the various assets of dark side force alchemy and some of the other more "fun" sith stuff that was lost to the ages, and perhaps have a crystal for this version too where it has a similar rarity to the version that you added here for his light saber.
What if anakin had visions of order 66 instead of padme dying of childbirth? What if anakin went undercover instead of obi wan? What if tup went to the jedi temple instead of getting the atomic brain scan? What if shmi Skywalker had a child with clegg lars?
-What if in SWTOR, Ochos of Oblivion didn’t happen and Vitiate/Valkrion return around the movies?(In the same vain of the Darth JarJar fic you did.) -What if The Rule of Two was abolished after the Clone Wars? -What if the Sith Empire returned during the Galactic Civil War instead of the Clone Wars? -What if Vader lived at the end of RotJ, not redeemed and in charge of the Imperial Remnant? -What if Anakin saved Mace Windu and stayed in the light during Order 66? -What if Thrawn was present during the Original Trilogy? -What if Anakin/Vader was a double agent and played the long game like your Rebel Thrawn fic? -What if Maul was found by the Jedi before Sidious? -What if Vader,Thrawn and Several Imperials started an Imperial Rebellion separate from the Rebels, which really took off around the DS1 destruction? -What if Vader never burned on Mustafar? -What if Grevious was a Republic General but still hated the Jedi? -What if Starkiller lived at the end of TFU1 and later trained the Skywalker Twins? -What if Lord Starkiller lived at the end of TFU1 dark side ending and ignoring the dlc, basically replacing Vader?
I can imagine you doing animation for specific parts in the future. Really appreciate your efforts “obiwan swan his lightsaber around his back” you know! Anakin using the shoto blade was a really nice touch.
Great to see this scenario play put xD I did wonder for a while what would've occured had Dooku stayed in the order, or even trained Anakin. I certainly believe he would've managed to instill a bit more discipline into Anakin and would've kept Obi-Wan around for some of it aswell. Add on Plo and the Baran Do being brought in makes the story even more awesome 👍 as unashamed Plo and Kel'Dor fan xD and even Yaddle (yeah, I am updating the comment as I watch)... she and Anakin did have a very great relation in the EU. My suggestions for future vids will stay fairly consistent: What if Oppo Rancisis had trained Asajj Ventress (after Ky Narec died)? And What if Ahsoka had been discovered and trained by Sidious? And finally What if A'Sharad Hett had trained Anakin? Would love to see a story with Yarael Poof, as he was one of the unironically coolest jedi of the time xD And great to see the community post 👍 have gotten that scam just yesterday 😂
You've been improving that much till the point for the first time gonna leave the like before watch the video. But still feel the Bad guys need some more love and development. Anyways keep the good job 'cause is kinda amasing the frecuence that u upload.
Some what ifs (love the vid btw): What if Cin Drallig trained Anakin Skywalker? What if Shaak Ti fell in love with Fives? What if Ben Solo lived and went back to the Clone War? What if Luke Skywalker went back to the Clone War? What if Rex was force sensitive? What if Palpatine was assassinated during the Clone War?
New idea I really feel you should take a swing at think up a story for. "What if" The Jedi never took an active role in the clone wars? This would be after the first battle on Geonosis of course.
I absolutely loved this. Thank you for creating this one. I'm going to look for more like this from you now, but I have to ask, have you ever considered doing what ifs regarding the old republic era? Maybe something around Revan or the exile?
Here's another idea: What If Tahl trained Anakin Skywalker? For those who don't know Tahl was, she was a Noorian Jedi Master whose she and Qui Gon Jinn had a secret relationship each other. She was the one beat Qui Gon when both of them were Padawan during a Jedi exhibition match where it was same event that Dooku watched the duel and took Qui Gon as his Padawan. Sadly, Tahl died during a mission to another planet where she was kidnapped and almost beaten to death before she was rescued by Qui Gon and his Padawan, Obi Wan Kenobi. Before she died, she admitted her feelings to Qui Gon before dying in his arms. Qui Gon almost fell to the Dark Side as he tried to kill the perpetrator who kidnapped her but he stop when he felt Tahl's spirit as she is now one with the Force which Qui Gon went back to normal. Had Tahl survived and learned about Qui Gon had died in Naboo on Episode 1, she learn from Obi Wan about his last words that Anakin Skywalker must train as a Jedi and his feelings to her. To honor Qui Gon's memory, Tahl went to the Council and told them she will be the one to train Anakin no matter what.
Question, do time travel between trilogies within the saga still count as crossovers?😅 if not one of Luke & or leia maybe finding the world between worlds and stopping Anakin from becoming Darth Vader could be interesting 🤔
I just saw a clip of TCW season 5 where Anakin wanted to see Ahsoka and was refused by Fox. What if Anakin broke Ahsoka out or let the Dark side get the better of him?
The funny thing is that I've read a fanfic where Vader returns to the light or well begins to do so on the first death star when Leia blurts out that she's his daughter and later into the story it has Yoda go to Naboo to apologize to both Padme and Shmi but it also has a situation where Yoda was thinking and also acknowledging that the only other possible way that could've prevented Anakin's fall was if he had multiple Master's teaching him because it'd show that the jedi both trust him but also understand that his situation is entirely unique and different and thus need a different way to teach him
Imagine a fully enraged vengeful Dooku vs a fully enraged Maul after seeing his brother die at the hands of Sidious or the full rage he felt towards Kenobi.
The concept, and so far the story is becoming really something of fascinating alternative! 😃 I have a request for a "What if?" on Valentines Day: What if when Padmé was being force-choked she said, "H-... Ha-... Harder Ani~...!🥵"
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 ... " Slow clap* ..... IMHO... One of the best what ifs yet..... Yeah I tend to be a sucker for more darker endings or resolutions this one is really good I liked it a lot!
It one hundred percent sounds like sidious to get impatient and just attack with the biggest army possible as quickly as possible to solve the problem. He did it a ton in canon as the shadow separatist leader, for one, and for two.. this is the same guy that approved and funded the tarkin doctrin over the clearly better alternatives just because one guy was quicker than the other. It is extremely difficult to call him a pure genius with knowledge of that fact.
My guy this is just wow like I am speechless like I said before your somehow keep one uping your last video with the newest one like my goodness this is amazing cant stress enough my dude your theorys are gold
I freaking love this video. Barely five minutes in and i all ready love this Dooku. This is the Dooku Christoper Lee should have played on the big screen 😂
What if earth was in the Star Wars universe What if anakin was a foundling of the true mandalorians What if Luke became a foundling What if anakin was revans reincarnation or descendent What if shmi was a former Jedi either exiled or left the order What if barriss and ahsoka fell in love What if the crew of the ebon hawk appeared during the clone wars What if bail was able save the young Jedi from the clones on the landing platform What If Anakin Skywalker Told the Jedi Council About His Nightmares? What if Rex told anakin about pon krell
Dooku training Anakin makes for a funny imaginary picture. A Jedi master with a stiff upper lip training a lower-class brash and craven Apprentice. Sounds like a Blackadder Skit.
So you basically wrote Kung Fu Panda in Star Wars. Also pulled the temple battle from the Old Republic game. I did not see Dooku really all that involved. The training in the saber arts felt pretty rushed. Overall pretty good, but Yaddle and Plo was way over the top. As far as I'm aware neither were anywhere on that level of mastery moving multiple objects like that. Plo sitting on tip of the staff out there, guessing Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon theme. I dont see Sidious being that careless to go in with a mob in a temple battle.
I want to thank you for this amazing video, honestly, I really wish this history would be animated because it was just amazing, all of the Jedi masters developing a connection to Anakin was such an emotional thing to hear and Anakin finding a family with the Jedi, to be honest, I felt like crying a bit. In the original tragedy of Anakin/Vader, this desire to find and protect his loved ones is used by Sidious and honestly, I feel as if it was something that shouldn't even have happened, the Jedi pretty much just threw Anakin into a live of solitude, something that he didn't want and Obi-Wan, while I believe he honestly wanted to help, needed help to train Anakin. Anakin was a progedy but he was also a victim having lived through so much in Tatooin.
Here are some what if ideas What if Evan peel trained anakin skywalker What if obi wan trained ahsoka tano And what if mace windu and kit fisto went to save the chancler
What if anakin was adopted by mandalorian warriors when he was a kid and came back to free the slaves as a force sensitive mandalorian warrior(he could be friend whit obi wan but ho would not be a jedi)
