The issue is, grisha and Erens mom would’ve been sent out with the thousands who got sent to “reclaim wall Maria” (which was actually just population control)

You cant decide if he would or not. His character is extremely complex. You need to consider " would future eren let this happen " or " what if this or that happens ". The story is made to be so precise its impossible to change any detail at all

This is why I can’t hate Eren, it’s a dog-eat-dog world, can’t really blame him for wanting to kill Marley, it is what it is.

I actually think if Attack on Titan is a time loop story where we only see the last loop there’s probably a previous loop where the smiling Titan eats Bertolt and transforms back into Dina. This gives Eren, Mikasa and Hannes time to get Carla out of the rubble, but it also means the group find out far earlier about Marley and the people outside the walls as Dina explains this. We also have the uncomfortable situation where Grisha has to explain things to his wives. Most likely with the royal family exterminated Dina is taken in as the new queen and is forced to eat Grisha, restoring the Founding Titan to the royal line and most likely forcing Dina under the control of the King’s vow against fighting. This would remove the Founding, Attack and Colossal titans from play and mean that while Marley couldn’t attack the island for a while the scouts also would never gain their decisive weapon against the titans. Eren would go on to join the scouts as a regular human.

Eren wanted to join the scouts from the get go. His mother's death had nothing to do with it.

I feel like Grisha would've contacted Keith Shadis to provide an audience with Erwin, then inform them about the truth of their world, the government's true nature, and the vow renouncing war. He could then secretly entrust the scouts with the Attack Titan in the hopes they'll find a way to turn things around. They would be massively more prepared for whats to come this way, most of their flounders with Annie, Bert and Reiner were due to lacking info.

Grisha wouldn’t even kill the Royal family and get the founding, since the only reason why he did that is because of what Eren showed him. We saw that in “Memories of the Future” episode when Grisha found the Reiss family very early on and chose not to kill them and went back to Eren and Carla

He killed his mom so young eren would see it and want to eradicate the titans, grisha would also give eren the attack and founding titan so that he could avenge carla, the story would on with eren joining the scouts, yadiyada. That would lead up to him kissing historia's hand who has royal blood, activating the founder and seeing the future, he then activates the rumbling and mikasa chops off his head and he dies. Thats why eren lost his smile, he knew what was coming and knew he couldn't stop it.

There are two things I'd like to say... Firstly, Eren would still want to go ahead and join the Scouts. One thing many people seem to forget is that Carla died because future Eren deliberately sent Dina's titan after him, so that Berthold could survive long enough for Armin to later eat him. He wanted to join the Scouts much earlier than Carla died - so her death was just the trigger, not the motivation. His main motivation was the outside world. When Armin showed the book about the outside world to Eren, to Armin it was a world waiting to be discovered... symbolizing curiosity. But for Eren, it symbolized freedom. It was something he had a birth right over, but it was taken away from him, because of the titans. And it was the anger towards his freedom being taken away that became his motivation to join the Scouts. The scene that confirms this is when during the Battle of Trost, Eren loses control over his titan form, attempts to kill Mikasa but punches his own face and falls unconscious. Armin then comes and tries to wake him up, reminding him of his mother's death. That doesn't wake Eren up. But when Armin reminds him of the outside world, and he wakes up, angrily saying "The world beyond the walls is my birth right." Then he plugs the hole at Trost. So Eren would still want to join the Scouts, but the difference is that Carla would prevent him from doing so. Whether she would be successful in her attempts or not, is debatable. Secondly, if not for Dina eating Carla, she would eat Berthold and inherit the Colossal Titan. Here is what I think would happen. There would be a chance of Dina coming across Grisha, Eren, and Carla, making things very awkward. Then obviously, Grisha would have to reveal his backstory to Carla and Eren. Grisha and Dina would probably work together to locate the Reiss family. If not, they'd eventually still have to reveal the truth of the outside world to the whole of Paradis, deal with public reactions and the government. Dina would become the queen of Paradis Island, which means Historia (after revealing her identity) would be the heir princess, not the immediate queen. At the end of his 13th year, Grisha would pass on his titan to Eren. Future Eren would manipulate Grisha into killing the Reiss family. Dina would also aid the Scouts as the Colossal Titan. After this, there are 2 possibilities: Possibility 1: Annie would be caught and eaten by someone back in Season 1. Reiner and Ymir wouldn't be able to escape in Season 2 and probably would be eaten by someone in the Scouts as well. Dina would battle against her son Zeke in the retake of Wall Maria mission. Since the Scouts don't have to fight the Colossal Titan, Armin wouldn't end up burnt. With the powers of the Founding, Attack, Colossal, Female, Armored, and Jaw titans, they would manage to get hold of Zeke and feed him to Erwin. Paradis would now have the powers of the Founding, Attack, Colossal, Female, Armored, Jaw and Beast titans, leaving Marley with just the Cart and War Hammer Titans. In Liberio, both Peick and Lara would be captured and eaten by some Scouts due to the lack of other titans defending them. Now, Paradis would have all the nine titans on their side. The Eldians would be back in power again, Hizuru would be their ally, Marleyans would be discriminated against, and the history would repeat itself like how it was before the Great Titan war. After Dina's time, Historia would eat her and become the next queen. If she eats the Founder, she inherits the will of Karl Fritz and ends the discrimination against Marleyans. If someone else does, Eldians would continue to be in power. Possibility 2: Future Eren would manipulate the other characters and end up doing the rumbling much before the year 854, as Dina and Historia would be available for him to get contact with much before coming across Zeke (since he now knows of the royal bloodline's powers and how the Founding Titan works much before he did in the canon time).

In order for Carla to even have a chance to survive, Eren would have to not be given a titan, in order for Eren to not be given a titan, Carla would have to survive. Both of these events hinges on the fact that Zeke takes Eren through to see Grisha's memories, and Eren used the Attack Titan power to send his memories to Grisha, causing Grisha to notice his two sons watching from the future. Grisha left to make his move on the Reis family that night because he saw his two sons, Grisha didn't know Marley would attack while he was gone. So the timeline is kind of set and can not be changed, any what if scenario simply doesnt work because Zeke gave Eren the ability to ensure events played out into Eren's favor. Eren was able to push Grisha to kill the Reis family, then Eren ensured his mom would die, that way Grisha had no choice but to pass on the titan, even if Grisha didn't like the idea of the rumbling. So everything hinged on the fact that Eren and Zeke viewed the past using the Founding titan. Final part, Eren always wanted to join the scouts. Literally episode one shows that Eren and Mikasa were collecting wood when Eren took a detour to see the scouts return. He then spoke to Mikasa about his desire to join. Mikasa didn't want him to join, so she told Carla in the hopes Carla could convince him otherwise. Eren was willing to talk back to his mother over this topic, causing Carla to ask Grisha to help her out, but Grisha was too occupied noticing future Eren and Zeke watching, which caused Grisha to not even notice the conversation. Grisha tells Eren he will show Eren what is in the basement upon returning, which made it look like Grisha was accepting of Eren's choice of joining the scouts, but in all reality he was only saying that because he was given a sign that Eren would be the one to inherit his titan. Eren still has his desire to see the outside world becauae of the banned book Armin shared with Eren, so Eren would eventually come to hate the titans simply for keeping them inside the walls.

Eren’s dream was always the Scouts, he’d have absolutely joined them. His resolve would’ve been weaker yes, but it wouldn’t be in character for him to back out. And Grisha didn’t give him the Titan to avenge Carla, he gave him the Titan to save Paradis-basically pushing on Eren the same thing he’d tried to push on Zeke, but in a different way.

Your forgetting ONE MAJOR DETAIL… if eren never got the Titan then his dad may never have gotten the Titan bc based on its power, Eren has been pulling the strings to give himself the Titan power through it’s time powers and through the previous owners memories, each of the previous owners was pushed in the right direction by Erens person. So if he never gets it, his Titan might have stayed in Marleys hands and not with the renegade that gave it to Erens dad… OR it would have still been with that guy but without the influence of Eren in the Titan, his dad might have just been killed or turned like all the rest on that wall and Eren is never born… man AOT is crazy

Eren Kruger gave Grisha that mission, and although Grisha seemed hesitant about it he followed all of Kruger's orders. So I feel like Grisha would have given it to him because of the fact that Eren is wanted to know what was outside of the walls and Grisha was determined to protect Eldia such as his restorationist movement and his mission from Kruger.

You forget that Eren always wanted to join and right before his father left and the titans attacked his father said he was going to show him what was in the basement which meant he was ready to tell him about Marley. What would likely happen is that he would tell Eren why The colossal Titan appeared and what the Titans were which would be enough to drive him enough it of rage and perhaps still convince his father to give him the Titan.

I feel like Eren, Armin, and Mikasa would still join the scouts.Eren wouldn't have changed his mind so Mikasa would join for him and Armin would join to keep the group together and avenge his grandpa by finding a way to screw over/expose the monarchy. Remember he figured they sent refugee adults to "reclaim" wall Maria was a ploy to avoid starvation. Erwin might have figured out about Annie Reiner and Bert but idk if the scouts would ever figure out anything beyond that because I think they'd never have been able to reach the basement

A better change would be that since Grisha dies and since Karla's legs are permanently damaged if not completely paralyzed from being crushed by the house, Eren would need to step up and provide for his mother, he would still join the army but since he wants to make sure he can take care of his mom and give her the best life possible, he would try to join the Military Police and live in the interior instead

I think Eren still would have joined the scouts after his family escaped. And because he joins the scouts, I think his dad would give him his titan because Eren would now be in a position to do all the things he wanted to do because Grisha would understand significance of the of the two titans appearances in Paradis.

If you watched the anime/read the manga. If Eren's mom didn't die. Berthold would have died what couldn't happen for Eren's plan, so he nudged the titan to kill his mom (does this sound complicated, yes it is. Watch the show).

It would have actually ended better, Eren would pursue his dream of joining the scout regiment, Levi would beat the Living shit out of the Titans next time they attack and They would then have the power of 3 of the Titans, the attack and Founding Titans are dead so that only leaves 5. And our team would still have Levi, Mikasa, Eren and Armin. Commander Erwin would probably also have survived and Mikasa and Armin would follow Eren into the scout regiment

This question is so difficult to answer as Eren was the reason his mom died.The way Isayama wrote the story made it next to impossible to answer that question as it would fundamentally change the entire story since everything happening was actively being manipulated by future Eren. I wonder if Eren was able to manipulate events as far back as the death of Ymir 2000 years prior, and if so, why didn’t he? Was it because it could’ve made it where him and his friends wouldn’t have existed? Am I thinking too much into it? Am I having a stroke?

The thing is if grisha died that means their will be no founding titan and in the final episode when the founder died that means the power of the Titans are gone so in short everyone who had been turned into titan will become a human and the series might just be 2 or 3 seasons long

No, grisha killed the royals in the first place cause eren told him to do it so it means eren still gets the founder regardless of the situation. If he didn't get the titan then it would be a paradox. Eren gets the titan even when the walls aren't busted cause kruger saw his memories from the future, the very fact that eren is born starts an endless loop. "we are special the moment we are born"

It's kind of a paradox since Grisha were actually forced by future Eren, but if we assume the paradox didn't exist. the whole Yaeger family will still exist, Grisha may not giving his titan yet, but pretty sure he will start his rebellion again just like he did outside paradis. Eren and Mikasa will ended as his tool the same way he use Zeke, and he still join scout but this time is to continue his father ambition. And eventually they will met Erwin and uncover the truth. Or maybe they will join MP to uncover it from inside. At this time Grisha should already pass the titan power to eren since there is a limit on how long a titan weilder can live..

the only issue was the fact that the Colossal and Armored titan’s destroyed the wall, if it hadn’t been destroyed Eren wouldn’t ever decide to kill those outside the walls

I think both Eren's parents would still die only because i think Grisha wouldn't have made it back from seeing the royal family since Eren's future self wouldn't be there to push him because he doesn't give the attack titan to Eren. Then Carla would've probably been sent on the operation to take back wall maria and most likely died.

This theory might have made senses before season 4 but not now. Erin was manipulating everything with the founders power. It's the only reason why half of the big ticket stuff happens. If Geisha didn't give it to him after the fall, future Erin would be prodding him till he did.

No. Grisha attacked the Royal family at that point _because_ he knew Wall Maria was about to be attacked and Carla would be killed by Eren via Dina Fritz. If he knew she'd survive, as he would because he can see the future from whenever Eren might inherit the Titan, he wouldn't have gone to confront the royals. Or he just might not do it because Eren never inherits the Titan in this scenario. It'd be a paradox is what I'm saying. If Eren doesn't control Dina, she goes on to attack the Colossal and there would be chaos.
