He would still take out the naval fleet, he’d then march inward to help Eren steal the 4 Titan shifter abilities. Without those Marley would be powerless.
Erwin would've hated it. Levi and Hange both confirm that. They wanted to find the truth about the world that was the goal of the scouts. @@cycloidgamma127
@@BraylonDyes and after figuring out the truth. He would have further dedicated his life to his people. He 100% would have been on the yeagerists side
If Erwin had survived, he would have been a hero for the entire Paradise Island. In my opinion, Erwin could make tough decisions in tough times. Thanks for the video author. You love Ervin as much as I do.
He had no plan after proving his father right, these are his words to Levi. He literally didn't have a single idea of what to do after fulfilling his lifes journey. Tbh, if Erwin got the titan and not Armin, the island would have been lost due to him having literally no plan nor willingness to make a new plan after proving his dad right
His last decision of sacrificing himself was his only action he did just for Paradis and the Scout Regiment. His purpose in living until that day was to learn the truth and he was leading the army with this dream in mind I respect him. He put aside this dream he had kept inside all these years just to protect the island and its people
@@dantdmfangamingrich9802 no he wouldnt, but he would be miserable. He himself already said he was a monster for killing so many of his troops. He would only become worse.
Erwin would have been miserable like Levi said. He said it himself that Armin had something he never did with weighing all options and choosing the best one while he came up with a plan and forced it.
Erwin himself also knew he had a duty as commander if he had survived and was still commander I doubt he’d let feelings get in his way he wouldn’t let down the comrades he literally just rode to death with
Agree with you Also, if Erwin was alive, he could done the speach instead/alongside Willy Tybur If he did that and been him declaring war, he would destroy everything on the festival, including the hammer, armored, jaw and car titan (and Eren needed they alive to stop him) If he did a speach to manipulate the international politics to keep paradis safe, all the plans of Eren ends before starts If he just go along with Eren plans, his motivations wont be strong enough to stop eren in the end In another words, every decision i see Erwin doing would ruin Erens plans
Bro Erwin is better as marleyans think for themselves why can't paridise man i wished erwin was alive i hated Armin from season 1 to 4 the worst character
I agree with you on everything except the ‘tension between Eren and Erwin’. Erwin wouldn’t care all too much that Eren wanted his friend to be saved, and although Eren would mourn the death of his friend, all his hatred would be directed at Marley and the Warriors, not Erwin or Levi.
Yeah and also him saying Eren wanted Erwin dead is a stretch making it sound personal, he didn't exactly want the commander dead he just preferred to have his friend back rather than the commander.
well.... the whole point of eren getting the attack titan was to save armin and mikasa as we seen Kruger and Grisha mention before giving the serum to one another
It's very unlikely, he's mostly likely going to look almost the same considering the fact that Eren's colossal titan was the same and he was the founding titan.
@@iyanuoluwajulius5325you might have a point, but at the same time if we look at bertholdt’s titan, he was more muscular then armins titan. I believe there’s a chance that Erwin’s colossal titan form would’ve been the most muscular colossal titan there ever was.
@@kingkaijuboygodjira3116 you're right though, in last few appearances he wasn't as muscular as the earlier ones and that was what I could recall at first.
Erwin was so tired..., he knew that since he ask That if there were people outside the walls and his father died, he decided that his life would be dedicated to knowing the answer. He already considered himself a demon, because of all the deaths he carried, that's why he gave The syringe to Levi, to do the right thing. Levi asks why do you want to know what's there so much? And he doesn't respond, but knowing the truth would justify so many deaths on his back. In the end when Levi try to Injecting it blows his hand. "Finally let me rest from this hell." He accomplished his mission. Know what's out there. But he could no longer continue with so much death of his comrades for him and his mission. 😓 Excellent written character.
And erwin will show his true demon personality while destroying maryle and making them pay for all the soldier who died without knowing how beautiful outside world is
@@GearZNet No, Hitler killed people because he didn't like them. Eren killed people because his entire race would've been wiped out. They are not even remotely the same.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 If you read his work that's what the man himself believed. He killed people because he believed them to be the enemies of his people and the reason why Germans were facing the troubles they were post WW1. Take it up with him I guess.
But before Levi injected the fluid into Armin Eren shouted “ But Armin will be the one to save humanity!” But most people thought it was js a desperate shout but it actually was a memory brought by Future Eren that Armin would be a better help then Erwin
And also at the beginning of the series ( only in the manga) Eren asks Mikasa why her hair is so long. Bcz his last glimpse of her is when she chopped his head off and her hair was shorter
@@mikeayoub-ol4mp yeah.. there is a reason why that scene was moved to season 4 part 2 in anime.. that scene being at the very start of ep 1 would have been way too spoilery and wouldn't make much sense either
Levi picking Erwin would kinda be an insult for him I mean he said that he wanted to what was in that basement more than to save humanity and if Levi revives him the famous speech would be worth noting cuz he was prepared to die there
@@GearZNetyea its one thing if he happens to live or levi decides to save him vs hides like a coward and begs for his life after the speech, idk what this dudes on about
Being prepared to die doesnt necessarily mean you have to. That said his weakest point in the series is absolutely when he slaps the syringe away when Levi chooses him. He definitely wanted to die there but I don't believe he would allow it to prevent him from utilizing the colossal titan if the responsibility was cast onto him anyway.
I imagine Theo Magath receiving the mysterious letter. He reveals that and there it is succinctly written: "I'm coming for you" and here in the middle of the port there is an explosion and the Colossal Titan (Erwin Smith) rises above the port, and then the events in Liberio.
Imagine if the letter said: “I do not have money, but I have the colossal titan, and very particular set of skills, skills makes me a nightmare for guys like you, I will find you, and I will kill you”
Eren wanted to save Mikasa and Armin more than someone else, with Armin death the desire of run away with Mikasa would had been stronger, maybe he would not had become distant to Mikasa because he needed to mourn his friend death in peace and think about rumbling worth It. Levi chose Armin instead Erwin because he represents the inocence version of Erwin, pure he only wanted to discover the world and gets amaze with it. Erwin live enough to turn into a villian with the guilty of his comarades deaths, It was his time to rest, and Armin still was not broken. In addittion, I think Levi got dissappointed when he found out Erwins' actual motivations, he was following a child dream not the sake of humanity.
Thanks to the author for such a great video about Ervin! Only he, in my opinion, could protect Paradise! I love and respect Erwin Smith, as do you, the author
It wasn't if Eren was better than Armin in the coming wars. It was what Armin could do for the world. Eren knew all he had in him was hate, he knew Armin saw a future, Eren didn't. He only wanted to live to kill his enemies for the most part. Him being a strategiest was a plus
Put it simply, Rumbling happen SOONER, Erwin didn't hesitate to turn Historia into Titan, and Eren - Historia combined activate the Rumbling to destroy Marley, Zeke wasn't need to be involved. Eren hatred towards non-Eldian humans grow stronger due to he lose his best friend, so he also didn't hesitate to do everyting to avenge Armin's death.
I hate that Erwin never got to see what was in the basement. He wanted to know so badly the reason for all of their suffering, all the bullshit, and he died before ever finding out... the man was tired tho. Had so many soldiers and citizens die around him, he was done. I get why he would reject the chance to live and be a titan, but I still wish he could've had that knowledge before dying
Erwin would have found a solution better than the rumbling as even Eren himself at the ending when explaining his plans he was crying saying if only someone smarter was in his place they might have found a better solution
He just would have been depressed. He would have reached his dream but then the discovery would have made him want to retire. Armin on the other hand had a "stronger" dream which allowed him to see beyond that hell.
@@nocappin9596 They were in the worse situation possible. Not much they could do beside trying to see if peace negociations were possible. It was not. Then Armin came up with the plan for the Liberio attack
Levi already said, as long as Erwin could attain the secret beyond Paradis, it doesn't matter what would happen to humantiy after that. Unlike Armin, he has visions for the humanity
The reason why Erwin deny Levi save him, Eren told him "I will eliminate 80% population outside Eldian" and Erwin said "After everthing we got only 80%? Nah, I choose die!"
Do ending defenders just not pay attention to the actual story? They literally tried that and it didn't work. Only the people they took hostage were converted, and there was no time left for them to convert the entire world in that manner, as Eren's and Zeke's life spans were coming to an end.
He said that He wanted to know that secret even more than saving humanity, but then He sacrifieced himself for humanity. A true man knows where to give up on his dreams and die
If only. But at one point, Erwin was too tired to live on. To save humanity,he became a devil. He marched so many honourable soldiers to their deaths. He was too much in pain...
I don't know where the idea came from that Erwin's only motivation was to find out the secret of the walls. He wasn't called humanity's hope for nothing. He went outside the walls to figure out how to fight them to set humanity free. Erwin craves freedom just as much as Eren.
i don’t think erwin would’ve approved of the rumbling. his goal was to save humans, not kill. sure he ended up doing the second one but with the councilors he always tried talking first. i think he would’ve tried talking with marley first before using violence.
No. Erwin specifically asked Eren who he thought the enemies were after the titan shifter incident with Annie. After discovering Marley was behind it there would be little to no talking and lots of stomping and screaming.
@@trials6502 maybe. but erwin was always cool under pressure. i don’t think the rumbling and major violence would’ve been his first choice against marley
@malory6312 He spent the greater portion of his life watching his friends and family getting eaten by Titans. I don't think you understand much about reality, no offense.
@@trials6502 i’m thinking of his character traits. cuz through all the pain and death he’s seen, he managed to think before he acted. i’m saying he and eren wouldn’t have been a good team since erwin most likely would’ve thought of the lives that would be taken with the rumbling. he did think about the lives of his soldiers every time there was a mission so thinking of marley citizens, even the enemy, probably would’ve come first over instant killing
@@malory6312 For negotiations, you need to have something, and what does Paradise have? Three titans? Are there more of them in Marla? Besides, does Paradise have diplomatic recognition? Ervin, I remind you, has Zaklay and the Queen above him. And negotiations with whom? With Magat? With Tauber? Ервін може і міг зробити мир але для мирних переговорів треба військова перемога. Отже, він її б зробив і розбив Марлі а потім вже почались "мирні переговори".
After rewatch i really adore erwin. He is so strong man ever. I like pixies too. All of those man have their self character. I wonder may i find some of good character in the man. I see how domination of man think in thus series. Now i know why man really strong creatures😊
Erwin is very misunderstood. Lots of people think Erwin would have helped Eren with the rumbling, but if you understood his you’d know he would never want revenge. It’s definitely worth watching the show again to better understand the characters
U should do a side video if Levi would have still followed him. Probably a yes but I don’t think Levi would have agreed to the rumbling so it would probably been small clashes here and there with these 2
What would be interesting is, given the massive plot significances of Erwin, Armin, and Erwin’s death, that Isayama made a “what if” alternate season 3 and 4 to the series with Erwin still alive, and Armin dead.
Erwin wanted to die, he would’ve wanted Armin to survive. As soon as he found out the secrets of the basement he wouldn’t have had the will to continue as a leader of the scouts because his whole motivation was gone; this is why Levi decided to let him pass.
It’s honestly kinda crazy how many people believe that Erwin would have been bout the rumbling. He 1000% percent would have gone against it. He even said so to Hange pretty much. Told her the flying boat took off and she did her job.
Bruh what? That was literally Hange’s thoughts in death or a last minute fantasy dream before Hange had before she died. You really think that was Erwin? Lol
Erwin wouldn't let an angsty teenager run around making decisions for Paradis. One character assassination that happened in the series is Pixis which they shown as a wise commander but he was nowhere while eren is wreaking havoc and declaring war on all nations.
