But Marvel's What ifs are horrible? Those shows are so poorly written. Unlike what this video did, it was elaborated well. I too would love this version be animated but not as carelessly and horribly done as marvel's what if.
What if Bertholdt survived instead of Reiner… Do you think that if Armin inherited the Armored Titan, he would’ve developed feelings for Christa as residual emotions from Reiner? Would Bertholdt go rogue against the Marlian empire to save Annie? This one’s a seriously fun one, because it changes the story of season 4 drastically.
@@snowyy5902 I always thought Armin was a little in love with Annie already, so I never associated the fact that Armin liked her with the fact that Bertholdt did too.
If Erwin got the titan the story would be very different and maybe the ending would have been more peaceful. But Levi chose Armin not because he thought he was more capable but because he thought Erwin deserved to rest.
This man is a god damn gigachad. He can literally make a sequal with some good script and editing. This gave me the same experience as watching the anime
I hope you keep this series going, so far it’s awesome. Also I appreciate the acknowledgement of Reiner’s plot armor but king Floch better not be dead because of it.
It’s so fun seeing these different scenarios come up where Isayama really could’ve gone either way and the story end up somewhere totally different from where it finished. I’d love to see something like an alternate universe written by Isayama or approved by him so that we could see some kind of separate timeline
Ever since Erwin "refused" to take the syringe, and died on the spot, everything started went downhill. The Scout Survey Corps lose its unity and became divided (some became Jägerists and some follows the government officer's plan to make Historia inherit the Beast Titan), they lost political advantage (Erwin was a political expert), they lost an absolute charismatic leader (Erwin) Imagine if Erwin is still alive, he could be providing solutions to avoid the war with Marley (remember the vow to renounce the war), or he could try to negotiate with Tybur or Magath. Or he could build the military alliance with Hizuru to fight Marley, who knows? All the other better solution than mass g3noc1de (the Rumbling) is gone after Erwin died. It all went to sht after that.
Imagine Isayama make another branch from the series and name it, Attack on Titan: Alternative Route. If the company willing to milk the series even more.
@@Uaveatz2 Reiner is one of those teenagers that grew way too fast and looks way older than they actually are. Kind of like The Rock when he was younger. He was 15 but looked 30.
I always secretly hoped that he would chose Erwin because I felt that that would be more logical but I knew that choosing Armin was essential to the progression of the story and his character development
One of my personal favorite hypotheticals would be if eren heard about ymir fritz's titan (specifically how it was the 9 titans combined) and all of season 4 was eren trying to get every titan before the curse of ymir killed him
Shit I imagine she would be the bodyguard to Historia, for clear reasons. And if for any reason Historia had someone trying and succeeding to kill her (I.E Zachary or Floch) she would not hesitate to just feed herself to her. And boom, Titan of royal blood.
I think Erwin would have another plan,but if this option doesn't work out he will stick with Eren and do the rumbling.He said in s3(after confirming that behind the sea there are more enemies)that "outside the world there are more enemies who want to see us perish
@@BackBeater sadly yes.I'm not saying Armin is bad,but he is really not as well-written as he was in S3.I really enjoyed watching Armin's character development,but like many other characters,in season 4 they had imo a downgrade
I think I mentioned this in part 1 but I agree Erwin would support the rumbling as a *last resort* but it wouldn’t be his first option. People forget that (for a time) even Eren himself didn’t want a rumbling, he was desperately hoping that other options. He only went rogue when he felt they were out of alternatives. Similarly, Erwin is a smart guy, he’d know that wiping out billions to save their small island isn’t a proportional response BUT he also would be prepared to do that if his back is against the wall
SPOILER ALERT!! Yea and eren wouldn't have to die and Mikasa wouldn't have to kill eren and Mikasa and eren kiss wouldn't be last kiss and they could have married and i wouldn't be depressed from ending

I actually prefer this to s4 p2 according to the manga. Of course I won't spoil why only that I prefer Eren in this version and the scouts really struggle without Erwin.
With Erwin at the helm, i think that they can take more than only the warhammer titan in their posession. Or perhaps Erwin takes the warhammer as his own, to create the great collosal warhammer!

Love this series! Attack on Titan offers itself very well to parallel universes, because there are so many small choices that could have a great affect on the whole timeline.
I doubt this would ever happen, but what if Eren just decided to eat the colossal titan? This could probably even extend into eating the beast, armored, and cart, because Pieck carried Zeke into the walls to try to save bertholdt and Reiner and Zeke probably couldn't transform, so if Eren decided to eat the colossal for some reason instead of saving his friend, they could have all of the titans except war hammer. Maybe Eren could save Armin by letting him eat Reiner instead of Eren eating Reiner as well
The video is great but i have one problem with it. Why would Marley would be so unprepared for this attack?. Like, wouldn't Willy Tybur and Magath be aware of a possible attack at their most important event? Magath told this to Tybur trying to convince him to step down from the play, but Willy knew already and was willing to act as bait to get Eren to come out and show the world Paradis is a threat In the show Eren and Zeke planned all of this in secret and the Survey Corps came to their aid and Marley found out. They would surely catch onto something if the whole Survey Corp are spying them from the begining.
I personally wanted Erwin to take the Colossal Titan over Armin. Actually I really wanted Bertholdt to live. But it is what it is! I enjoyed your thoughts
No, He will support Eren to defend Paradis but he won't join Yeagerists who blew up Zachary like a terroist and beat up Keith by the trainees. He respected the veterans a lot.
@@BuddyReiner they wouldn't have had to blow zachary up if the military wasn't sitting around. They knew that time was of the essence and they were just letting Eren just sit there. If Erwin would have been on board about the partial rumbling then they wouldn't have had to take drastic measures. (ie. blowing up Zachary)
I agree. At least, if he wasn't actually able to do some sort of diplomatic solution, he'd agree with Eren that destroying all their enemies was the only way forward.
This is super detailed an awesome work with such good storytelling and different plot twist I really do feel like sadly arm and was demand that they wanted to say but Erwin would’ve got them to a better place!
The problem is that Eren wouldn’t follow Levi or Erwin after they let Armin die. It’d be the second time Levi’s leadership failed him, with the massacre of his squad being the first. He wouldn’t have any faith in the scouts after that, because Erwin’s plan didn’t work. The beast Titan got away, and all those people died for nothing. It was Armin who got them the female and colossal and rescued Eren at the end of S2. To Eren at that point, the scouts have done nothing but fail him and everyone around him. They couldn’t even keep the one target they sacrificed the entire regiment for. Why would he not immediately defect and trust only in himself much earlier? I also think Erwin would take on a much more active role as the colossal than Armin has so far. Tybur’s speech would still happen, since it would’ve with or without Eren being there, but Erwin would hijack the event. He wouldn’t hide being the colossal and use it to take every diplomat there hostage to force them to listen to an Erwin Speech ™. And no one would be able to stop him because if the shifters or the military try to interfere absolutely everyone will die. Erwin would announce to the world who he is and then he’d let them go. His speech + the “devils” showing them more mercy than Bert ever did would change a few minds, even if Erwin doesn’t get all of them.
The problem that I see with this "what if" so far is that Eren's true goal has been totally ignored. I highly doubt that Erwin being commander would stop Eren from going rogue.
Maybe his future memories would be different, and Eren would be depressed af. Armin’s death would change Eren heavily, he would mature better over time. Erwin is making effective decisions, unlike Hange which is why Eren went rogue. So I don’t think Eren goes entirely rogue in this what if timeline
while I do enjoy this story, this is so very unlikely to have happened with the context to the actual story. But it is what think would happen with your own twists after all. I personally feel like Erwin would just go rumbling plan with Eren as Erwin would want to save Paradise no matter the costs and but Eren would partly still be rage driven. He would want revenge still but he wouldn’t be the same still, as the main thing that changed his perspective was him seeing the future and so from that he would be calmer if that’s the right word and he’d also be partly understanding if the other side. And but yeah at that point he’d still just get READY TO RUMMMMMMBLLLLLLEEEE.
