I got an empty limsa thanks to the new Shadow DC so that's why I had the idea for this video lmao. the amount of dead MMOs out there is INSANE and FFXIV Could have joined them if it wasn't for realm reborn, god bless yoshi-P. this is our MMO

The sad thing is this will be a reality one day. Everyone you know in XIV will log out for the last time one day and you won't know when until it happens. Make the most of the good times.

That'll be heartbreaking when it happens. I hope we have XIV and it's wonderful community for a good, long time yet. It's become my forever game and feels like a second home. =^ ^=

Depends, I think... Guild Wars (the original, not GW2) is still online. They dont add to it and there is no new content, expect the holiday events. Only one two guys maintain the server and its more due to some passion project than anything else. FF14 has of course waaaaay more need of supervision and higher costs attached to it, but who knows... maybe, in a couple years, those costs will be lower significantly, and just keeping the servers alive doesnt cost too much to devs...

@@markup6394 I don't think they'll turn the servers off for a long, long time. FFXI is still up and running. It's a shadow of the game that we once knew though. Areas that were once packed full of players are now completely deserted. It's sad to see.
