I remember back in 4.0 and the months before the big reveal how Furina was always seen as this imposing and conniving figure, larger than life in everything she was depicted in. And yet, lurking just around the corner, just beneath the cracks within the masque, there was always a hint of rage and frustration. Every time she broke character, a little bit of that madness seeped out for us to see. But once the truth was revealed in 4.2, everyone finally saw the tragedy for what it was. She was just a mortal girl, forced to carry the moral and emotional weight of an entire nation for 500 years. forced to blindly execute a plan she had no knowledge of, with no option to ever back out or say no. And once she was granted her freedom, she became one of the most beloved characters within the community. This theme masterfully bridges the gap between those two impressions of Furina, melting them down into a bittersweet symphony suggestive of a sorrow-fueled rage that, if left unchecked, would have flooded the entire world. Utterly beautiful, thank you for sharing this with the world.
I could see her lines in the fight being just her lashing out after all that anguish for five hundred years, the ending of the fight being a cutscene where she just breaks down in tears, and the traveler is there, trying to console her as she mutters "...it's not fair...it's not fair... for any of us... I didn't ask for this..."
I imagine that this fight would be against Focalor, but Focalor will switch to furina every once in a while. The boss would also have two health bars, one for Focalor and one for Furina. During the fight, you have to try not to hurt her. Perhaps by healing Furina, you get some sort of buff against Focalor.
But Focalors is Furina, Furina is her body, and her human side, while the divine spirit is her other side, the god, the divinity... And Focalors is the combination of the two aspects, the divinity and the humanity
@@esper2464Maybe Focalors never intended to give up her power to Neuvillette and/or lost all morality after her human side left her body so you're forced to fight her yourself while not harming her human half..? Not sure honestly
@@Luminoss971 if we’re really going off how furina names her songs, it would be: Oh Poséidon, laisse ma chanson te faire écho! Symphonie Hadopélagique de la Divinité
"The propecy is meant to be fulfilled but we all know that... Yet it all started happening once YOU arrived... Perhads you are the reason why this happens... May-Maybe if i get rid of you the propechy wont happen!? Yeah! That could work.. Hehe... Yeah! YEAH! THAT COULD WORK!" -"Focalors" (i was bored so i wrote this"
I see people drop their own headcanon in the comments, so why not add my own take. After centuries of strain, crushed by the weight of Fontaine's fate, Furina snapped. While on the surface Fontaine is still the land of Justice, deep below cloaks hide dark secrets, daggers are sharp and smoke and mirrors obscure the truth. Focalors' plan to stave off the prophecy has been discarded, replaced by whatever twisted design came out of Furina's mind. Would she enact her own plan to destroy Celestia, willing to sacrifice Egeria and Focalors' heritage to obtain the power beyond other Archons' dreams, the power that should have rightfully been hers, as the true ruler of Fontaine? Would she conspire with the Fatui, siding with Tsaritsa against the world? Or would she simply devote her existence to delight and debauchery, indulging herself with dance, wine and a facade of justice, where the archon's whim is the law and the whole land is just her theater to play with? Neuvillette has been removed from his post and disappeared from sight, the Melusines exiled to Beryl. Marechaussee Phantom acts as Furina's enforcers, with Clorinde being the archon's loyal sword. Spina de Rosula hides in the underground, with Navia leading the resistance against the tyrant. The Knave watches from the sides, her House threading the narrow line between realizing its mission and not coming into open conflict with the increasingly deranged Furina. And finally Focalors, locked inside the Oratrice, her only hope of saving Fontaine shattered by her own miscalculation. And this is when the Traveller arrives. Initially brushed off by Furina as an insignificant episode, perhaps a chance to indulge herself in some fabricated tragifarce. Roped into an elaborate scheme, framed for some henious deed and forced on the run, the Traveller joins forces with Spina di Rosula and the mysterious stranger living among the Melusines - who ultimately reveals himself as the Hydro sovereign, twice betrayed. They evade capture, clashing with Clorinde and barely making it out alive. Later they join forces with an intrepid reporter from the Steambird, who is willing to risk her life to expose Fontaine's darkest secrets. They get captured, escape from Fortress Meropide and forge a fragile alliance with a trio of surprisingly clever kids from the House of Hearth. Ultimately, they discover the truth about the prophecy, the Primordial Sea, Furina's madness and Oratrice's true purpose. All culminates in a climactic battle within the Opera, where the masquerade is shattered and Furina's madness exposed. Though she never held the power of the Gnosis, Furina's efforts to further research into Pneuma and Ousia gave her powers to rival that of the Archons, and only the combined forces of the Traveller, Neuvillette and the Fatui are able to overcome her might. Forced to face Focalors again, Furina realizes the wrongness of her actions, and the plan to save Fontaine is brought back on track. The Sinner's Finale restores the Sovereign's might, just in time to stave off the Narwhal and the deluge that starts to swallow up Fontaine. The restored Iudex reclaims his place as the ruler of Fontaine, promising to mend all the damage done. Furina lost her powers and stature - and is forced into an exile, promising to fulfill Focalors' last wish: to live the human life she intented for all Oceanids to enjoy. The people of Fontaine are saved, their 'sin' absolved by Neuvillette's decree. The Hydro Archon's throne has been shattered - and only time will tell what Celestia's response will be. The future is uncertain - but for the first time in centuries, the waters of Fontaine are no longer murky...
Furina as acting archon of Fontaine - Furina's character demo theme = Happy and cheerful Furina after she lost everything to the flood - Furina's boss theme Phase I = One who saw despair, and sought vengeance - Phase II: The one who discarded their past and is walking the path of madness
I feel like in this battle Focalor would be dancing kind of like in the masquerade of the guilty Except while she's dancing she summons things via certain moves that way you can detect what she is going to do easier, and like in The Raiden shoguns boss fight she would use the giant sword/claymore as a finisher move where to dodge it you'd have to use psmonia or osuai (i cant spell them 😅) to create a barrier (shaped like a curtain) to protect yourself, another move would be to summon water animals like furina and the oceanid to attack you, but while she is in her healing phase you have to use the reverse type to remove the healing which would be 2 bigger oceanids or one oceanid and the whale, she would also use all of the underwater enemys attacks, and in the second round of the boss fight every so often she would flood the stage to make it harder, and at the very end it would end with her dramatic pose before she was executed
"My enemies are many, my equals perhaps less so. In the realms of dark magic and treachery, they say the Abyss Order could never be silenced. In the lands of sand and scholars, they say the sages could never be humbled. In the lands of heartless ice and snow, they say Snezhnaya could never be tamed. Now they say nothing. They fear me like a force of nature, a dealer in justice and death. I say, "I am Furina de Fontaine." I am Archon." -Lady Furina's proclamation after her Grand Armée de Fontaine completes its victory against all opposition.
Boss name: Furina de Fontaine, the God of Justice Ley line disorder: During the battle, Furina would occasionally absorb the power of *PNEUMA* or *OUSIA*. *Attacking with the opposite Arkhe-aligned attack would remove her Arkhe infusion and stun her*. *PNEUMA* or *OUSIA* fragments would spawn in after some of Furina’s attacks. Once the Arkhe charge reaches 100% attack, you can unleash an enhanced *Spiritbreath Thorn* or *Surging Blade*, triggering the annihilation reaction and deals *TRUE PHYSICAL DAMAGE EQUAL TO 5% OF FURINA’S MAX HP*
Hp (lv90) 1,780,841 Atk 25433 Def 950 Attacks: Combo 1: hits the player with her sword, dealing 25%, 25% 30% and 40% hydro damage Combo 2: slashes the player and quickly thrusts, dealing 30%, 50% hydro damage Salon Solitare: summons the members of the salon solitare, dealing 50% hydro damage around her. The salon members would then fire a ranged attack at the player, dealing 20%, 40% 40% as hydro damage. An arkhe fragment would spawn after this attack Hydro burst: summons multiple bubbles in the arena and causes them to explode, each dealing 80% attack as AoE hydro damage Sinner’s Finale: drains all of the players arkhe energy and deploys a hydro guillotine. Numerous hydro creatures would spawn in which drops a arkhe fragment when defeated. If uninterrupted, instantly kills the active character. If interrupted by an arkhe attack, Furina would be stunned for 20 seconds
imagine if the boss fight was her brain fighting her mental illness and since traveler went into furina's mind , in the middle of the court the screen breaks and shows her sitting on her throne while theres numerous hydro attacks and once your done fighting it breaks back to the court and continues
I could see this happening if Furina finally has a moment where she finally snaps, trains like crazy, and becomes so strong to the point that she can beat the piss out of Arlecchino and show her who ‘daddy’ really is. She then acts out her plan, hunts her down, and folds her like a lawn chair. So, the House of Hearth begs us for our help in stopping Furina, now MoistCr1tikal, from killing Arleccheerios.
This is so amazing. I always thought it was unfortunate that raiden is the only archon we fight so far. You really captured what it would be like in a furina boss fight !!
My take for her boss would be like this. In that last scene where she is exposed for the lies and all, right before Focalors dies, Furina's sadness would make her reach top levels of ambition and she would receive her Hydro Vision and Focalors dies RIGHT after, making Furina be the last person to receive a vision from Focalors' authority. When Neuvilette and traveler come back from inside the oratrice, they would find Furina on stage, and she would be crazy saying that her "lies" are now finally true because Focalors died so she could be the true archon of fontaine. 3 Giant versions of the salon members would be fought in the boss
I really like how electronic elements appear in phase 2 (mostly at 5:55). for now they only appeared in themes of Shouki no Kami, Raiden, Arlecchino and the all-devouring narwhal, in the third and fourth case it could be interpreted as “otherworldly” which I’ve already seen pointed out but then there are the first two themes, and I feel those connect to “divinity” instead, which is obviously fitting for Furina/Focalors
I love that you added her theme every once in a while! It’d be really interesting if Furina and Focalors actually became a weekly boss, although it would be tough. Since people are commenting scenarios on this, might as well also do it lol. After the trial, (the one where she was declared guilty and the sentence) the Opera Epiclese suddenly turns into a arena, and both Furina and Focalors appear. But surrounding the arena, the people of Fontaine, they’re watching the duel. Everyone in the “audience” is surprised, it’s their first time seeing the real Focalors. This was really good!
I can imagine at the end of the fight. Exhausted and hurt, Furina walks slowly to the Traveler and the only words that comes out of her mouth "Am I.... Free?" As she faints to the Traveler's arms.
her boss fight would be in a theater. IDEAS: 1st STAGE - dances around while her little pets attack you. - when her health goes down to a half, she gives herself 40% resistance to attacks while the crowd boos and throws pyro slimes as tomatoes. - when you defeat her 1st stage she dissolves into water as the crowd does too. 2nd STAGE - she attacks you herself, using her weapon or crashing a giant oceanid onto you. - make sure to destroy the mini oceanid thats in the corners of the stage so she dosent heal every 20 seconds. the mini oceanid that heals, when destroyed heals the player/players in the near vicinity and furina summons it with the same timer as signoras little things on the corner of the domain. - when she dies she turns into a giant ball and absorbs the now watered down people in the seats as the giant water bubbles explodes and reveals a giant oceanid about 4x the size of the tall characters. 3rd STAGE - the stage crumbles and soon you see the domain you're fighting in is in the foggy ocean.. walking on water and the emptiness below. - giant Oceanid furina ttacks by sweeping in or summoning a giant bubble that explodes - once and a while she becomes one with the water you step on and a giant crabaleta appears and attacks you with her claw like 1st stage scaramouche, once thats done furina is back to her giant oceanid form. - be careful, make sure you take out the pets she summons quickly to easily damage her like liyue oceanid boss fight too. - and once she dies the normal form of furina is revealed as the water quickly drips away as a last ditch effort furinaengulfs you in water and transportsdss you to fight the oceanid in liyue and once your done with that you get transporterd back to the theater where you have to fight a stage 1 furina but weakend. - once you defeat then and only then do you get the drops
Holy... wow! What an experience! Let me tell you I got chills listening to this. Looove how you blended all her different themes into this one as well as giving it that Genshin boss battle vibe. The second phase felt so chaotic sometimes like she'd be switching back and forth between fighting styles and personalities/or like she unleashed Focalor, so cool. This makes me think of Furina actually accepting the duel, and nobody expects it and it's literally like.. why do I hear boss music? Phase 1 also feels a lot like she's just playing with us, testing out the waters before she actually goes full-on serious. I am so happy I randomly found this video, I'll make sure to listen to it on repeat! Thank you so much!
In honesty the battle would take place on stage and the switch up with focalar/furina would be frustrating but cool af. Like one would apply a lot of hydro damage why the other physical maybe. Can you imagine when they summon a tsunami in battle or constant whirlpools😭
Instead of having the traveller fight random enemies in Furina's mindscape they could have had us fought a legit messed up version of her forged from the expectation of her people. She was so hell bend on keeping up the act so her mind would try to fight back the way a god would. It's still her imagination manifested thank to the Indemnitium-polluted air in the court and her determination for acting the part. "You want to see the Archon's power? Very well, WITHNESS MY MAGNIFICENT"
In the first phase you will have to deal with twisted version of her Salon members and have to run away / parry their attacks while she continues to drain your health (by destroying all the members you can force her to heal you with Singer of Many Waters for 10 seconds). Second phase she will do a brust animation and fight you as if she's C6 with occational tsunami (splash out from her like Nilou's brust) and waterfall hitting the battlefield. Sorry for the rant but the song and your ideas hyped me up so bad 😭😭😭
@dungdaoxuan2077 Bro your fine if anything you got me hyped this fight could go down so many ways. This is perfect! And the mere fact that water can take any shape works with her imagination the more frustration she felt from her people the more her creativity would expands throughout the fight creating the unimaginable while everyone witness her "Magnificent". Plot armor can't save you from water since Fontaine is practically water if she's broken enough she'll take the whole nation down at her own will. It could see Furina mention " 500 YEARS! I've been fight for you all for 500 YEARS! It may not be a compare to other older archon but don't you dare judge me for something I've been CONSTANTLY WORKING TO ACHIEVE FOR YOU ALL! DON'T JUDGE ME LIKE THAT WOMAN( Arlecchino) WHO KNOWS NOTHING OF THE BURDEN OF LIFE OF AN ARCHON LIVE THROUGH FOR CENTURIES! I'VE HAD IT I'm done... everyone saying how will the hydro archon save Fontaine... but not how will Fontaine save the archon...
I think it would be if Furina was truly evil or traveler misunderstood her. On introduction they would fight with just sword. On phase 1 Furina starts throwing water (???) on traveler, on phase 2 she understands she cant win traveler and actually loosing everything and starts crying on her thrown (is this right way to spell?) and it will start to flood, if traveler will win her before it will completely flood then he wont face harder part where he have to go down and swim there
I really liked what you did here! You combined Furnia's theme so well and blending the amount of EDM and Orchestra music nicely for the intro and first phase! In the first phase, I was honestly surprised by the elegance and control like it was a great Opera. Very fitting to add Operatic vocals. The second phase shows off that mischievous side of her but through acting, as if she was really getting into character of being the villain. The Soprano was a nice touch to represent Furnia. Again very nice balance of EDM and classical. I definitely heard a little bit of the whale's theme in some of the pieces, like the First phase the most. (Please note, I'm still learning how to analyze music, learn music theory, and understand how to appreciate it in more ways than one.)
This is amazing tbh. I had an idea that maybe in this version of Fontaine everything went almost the same, except Furina couldn't handle the pressure anymore and went mad, attacking her own people and thinking that will solve the prophecy. Id actually read this lmao
Let me try something… Stage 1: Pneuma During this stage, the Singer of Many Waters will be summoned. It will be in an enlarged sized/state, and will be immune to damage that will occasionally heal Furina. However occasionally, it’ll shrink down making it vulnerable to damage. If you’re lucky, you can take it out in 1 cycle, but other times it’ll take 2. After it’s taken out, it’ll stun Furina and open her up to attacks. If Furina isn’t taken out during this stunned state, the battle will continue without any healing to Furina. I think it could be possible to take her out without taking out the Singer first (could be an achievement). Stage 2: Ousia During this phase, your HP will he constantly drained. The lower the HP of your team, the more defense/damage Furina gets. You’ll have to constantly try to out heal it, and the higher your HP, the lower the damage Furina gets and the lower her defense gets. The salon members will of course be summoned, and you’ll have opportunities to take them each out to slow down the HP drain.
Plot: "During the trial, Furina had to touch a sample of the primordial water. But when she was about the touch it, abyssal power seeped into the primordial water, once Furina touched the water, she was corrupted by the power of the abyss and infused with the wild energy of the primordial sea! Now the traveler has to break Furina out of the dreaded curse before she gets fully consumed. Along the boss fight you can hear Furina's screams of pain and sorrow as you fight."
Phase 1 pre c6 furina Phase 2 post c6 furina Edit: i see that this bossfight wouldnt be fighting against her, in first place it would be most guards, and to deal dmg you would need to attack a hydro creature she would spawn at the end of a guard phase (to deal her dmg) and then small dodging etc (it would repeat 3 times just like the amount of her creatures) Phase 2 would be her stepping on the show, using that c6 infusion (from her balcony or whatever, she could spawn a water attacks similar to ayato's at the player while its similar phases to the first phase, but instead of the hydro creature, it would be furina going to the main stage swinging her sword on and about (however she would heal a portion of her hp if you got hurt by her sword.) She would leave the stage and the guards would spawn again, imsgine that three times. Thats my idea of a bossfight
After so long of having to bear the weight of Fontaine, Acting as Fontaine’s star.. Hiding that there was actually something wrong.. It had a really, REALLY bad and rather permanent effect on Furina. The Traveler happened to catch her in a bad moment, not acting as Fontaine’s star.. That was a side no one was supposed to see… No one. She thought “T-This could ruin the plan.. t-the entirety of it…! O-Oh no.. I-I.. I must do something.. I-I can’t.. I can’t let the traveler get away with this.” A battle with Furina commences, as the Traveler battles with her. But he fights not to hurt her, but to help her.. and he will stop at NOTHING to help her. Furina fights because she doesn’t want help and because him knowing her act was fake could ruin the plan, But the traveler fights to help her.
After neuvilette rose up to take place as the ruler of fontsine, furina was left all alone with no one to talk to,traveler went for natlan navia and clorinde moved out of the city Charlotte starting interviewing people of other regions thus furina drove to insanity, she didn't go out covered all her windows destroyed all clocks and mirrors in her home she had no idea of how time was passing, she had no idea how she looked like finally, she snapped ending herself.
I like to imagine she slowly start flooding the battlefield with water as the fight progresses and you need to freeze the places it comes out of so the battlefield doesnt food, if it floods then she'll jump down from a throne into the water and then... You'll have to fight her underwater but she gets an INMENSE empowerment when being underwater so it must be a "not let happen"
Ooohhh. I can imagine a what if scenario. All the 7 Archons are our enemies and our goal was to get the Gnosis from them. In order to get the Gnosis we must kill all of them. Each archons will have 2 phases, 1st phase is their basic forms, 2nd phase is their Godly forms. Venti archon war form(the one where he is like an angel with the body of his bard friend) Zhongli archon war form Ei weekly boss form Nahida Rukkhadevata form Furina Focalora form Mavuika (soon to be announce) Cryo Archon soon to be feature
I could imagine that: In the first stage Furina summons more beastly versions of her pets to fight you off. Second stage: She turns to Focalors and summons swords from the peunma and orisa mechanic to fight you, then her ultimate attack would be “THE GUILLOTINE” that’ll hover over you before dropping down and scattering Primordial Water that drains your health.
THIS IS UNEXPECTEDLY GOOD OMG! I DID NOT EXPECT THE MUSIC TO ACTUALLY BE THIS GOD TIER ur channel has a bright futureee!!!! edit: furina is my fav archon and this actually gives me goosebumps
If we had a genuinely antagonistic Hydro Archon whether that's Furina or a different character as Focalor, these sinister epic boss themes would be almost perfect.
"I've been acting for 500 years. I've been suffering for 500 years. I've been protecting all of you... for that time, yet when the truth was exposed... you were skeptical of me. Am I worth your care...? It's not matter anymore. You do not have the right to judge me. You... WILL PAY !" ==Furina before lashing out and corrupt==
Literal chills. I need to hear a Neuvillette one :0 perhaps they fight together as one boss, so the music melds between both their personalities and varying powers based on who’s the main attacker? Like, first phase, furina is the one dueling traveler as Neuvillette watches on, helping her along with bursts of hydro that target the traveler. The music matches her theme, but with deeper tones here and there to show Neuvillette’s assistance. Next phase, furina draws back to recover as Neuvillette battles the traveler, and she uses her powers to heal him. The traveler needs to break the hydro constructs to actually be able to damage him. The music switches to his theme, dramatically deeper with male vocals, yet within it holds a bit of lighter music, representing furina. When he reaches half HP, the third phase triggers, where it’s both fighting you at once. The music is a mix of both the drama of court, and the cold truth of the guilty. The music reaches a climax as the two fuse their powers over pneuma and ousia together into one powerful hydro attack that would instantly kill the traveler, unless they manage to defeat furina’s saloon members in time. If they do, the two finally go down in a dramatic finale.
I always thought that Pneuma represented purity and Ousia represented pollution or corruption. So Furina's Ousia side (Or darkness) could've been the corrupted side, and her Pneuma(or light) could've been her true intention of justice. Because Fontaine is the most technologically advanced nation, it would make sense that they probably have pollution problems like here in real life. The water pollution could've 'corrupted' Furina in a sense and the story could've delved into corruption in politics. Anyway have a subscriber (me)
Phase 1: Furina will deal hydro damage attacks and change her Arkhe at certain intervals. Use the opposite Arkhe to build up Arkhe Stress that, when full, stuns her and decrease her DEF and Elemental RES for a short while. Spotlights litter the battlefield and if characters stand too long in them, they will build up Guilt and take hydro damage when having max Guilt. Ousia: Faster and aggressive, sending out watery missiles and waves of slashes. Charges up an Ousia attack that will deal heavy damage to characters with Pneuma. Pneuma: More defensive by sending out killable damaging water illusions that distracts you from her. Charges up a Pneuma attack that will deal heavy damage to characters with Ousia. Phase 1.2: Furina behinds the curtains and lets her Salon Solitaire take out enemies When retreating in Ousia: Releases Gentilhomme, Chevalmarin, and Crabalette agains the player to overwhelm them. When retreating in Pneuma: Releases the Singer of Many Waters, having high HP and attacks with flurries of watery powers Phase 2: Now Focalors, she wields the Guillotine Blade to deal heavy Hydro attacks such as overhead slashes, and boomerang blades (Yunli style). When at 50%, enter Judgement state to start building up Indemnitium and the player must use the power of Arkhe to do something to stop her from 1 shotting your current character.
For the phase 2 I see a puppetted Furina unable to do but what Focalor chose as her actions (just picture a de-articulated Furina that you would have to free avoiding the attacks of the water minions and potentially a invulnerable ghostlike Focalors aiming water rays at you !)
My headcanon dialogues (Furina clap as the Traveler enters the opera house slightly scathe) "How amusing, May I *Furina* show you the meaning of justice and righteousness through comedy and tragedy" (After the Traveler evaporated the water within the puppets so Furina couldn't control the puppets through water) "Years of suffering, years of yearning for connection, do YOU think I WANTED this? for you but a threat to my peace and ideals of JUSTICE" (The Traveler when they reach a certain health point) "You really think I just lounge all day? Do you really think I am heartless? Do you know how much I sacrifice? If others are filled with cheer, why can't I too be entertained while working all day?" "I did what is necessary to maintain Fontaine stability for them not to falter for that I how I show love" [ Sorry if my grammer is bad please correct me if I am wrong! :> ]
Furina as a boss huh -She could heal once in a while -She can summon her "pets" or create oceanids -She can summon divine judgement -She can summon tides of water -Also she can fight elegantly too Overall she would be that oceanid boss in liyue, she cant be hurt but hurting her summons can
I'd imagine Furina's boss fight theme to be something akin to the opera boss fight in NiER: Automata or Athena, The Tireless One from FFXIV, with La Vaguette being sung in the background.
