@@Stive_Fox I did some digging. Turns out he might have gotten a woman named Trish Nielsen to sing this one. A few other results said Joan Osborne but I don't think that's right. If you type in "Trish Nielsen singer" on Google you'll see some site talking about this song and Trish. I also found two posts on Reddit saying the same. I guess it could be Rivers but he's got a wife so it also could've been her but I saw nothing suggesting either of those were the case. Anyways. I dunno for sure, stay medicated though and take it easy, dudes. Haha

The original as written by Joan Osbourne and first released associated with Weird Al. From what I remember this is the original version of the song and not a parody. I remember hearing that the released song was a rewrite as the music label was not exactly happy with it, so they rewrote the "safe lyrics" for the general public. Not sure if it is true or not, but I like it, so will stick with it, bother versions are great.
