What If I Had A Pokemon Evil Team - Cut Content and Ideas 

Eyyyy! Because of the really positive response on my Evil Team video (Thank you guys so much!), I decided to make a video detailing all the stuff I cut out of that one! Most of this stuff will probably find its way into the sequel video, but regardless I still thought I'd make this video for all the people out there who like Team Buddy! (Also forgive me for the audio on this one, I was sick when I recorded this ;~;)

This song "The Nicest Team in Town" could be Team Buddy's battle theme XD

I'm not gonna lie, there being a romantic subplot would work very well for the story, and actually help with Buddy's eventual spiral down the power hungry path. Yes, all three of the admins would have an affect on Buddy's change, but having someone with an emotional impact on another would sell the point home to the character that might make them think, 'I went to far'. Maybe give hints throughout the encounters with Cheri(Cherry? idk I forgot her name) and when the player arrives to Buddy's final encounter it does make the story seem very, very good than it was written. I mean, I enjoyed the final draft but. There was that 50's aspect of in the movies, the guy gotta get the girl I mean... Come on, that would had sealed it for me.

Boring to watch? More please aways more, I can;t wait to make future Team Snooze stuff!

Team Buddy in Alola? Do I smell a potential Guzma/Buddy rivalry?? In regards to all your cut ideas, I wouldn't say that they were boring. It's always interesting to see what ideas get cut out of a big story and the reasons why! It's why buying art books and seeing all the concept art and designs for various games is so interesting and fun!

I wanted to write a thing about the encounter with Buddy involving Cherry and he's romance a little.... "Buddy, wait-!" He recognized the voice instantly as being Cherry's. He felt his voice leave him as he turned to her, watching in awe as her, Rosie and Danny scrambled forward with swift purpose in front of him. Buddy blinked, glancing at the Jirachi he clutched in his arms... He had to make the wish NOW! But it was Cherry... He couldn't just ignore her, could he? "Buddy, ya can't go through with this!" Danny piped up, his hand gripping at Rosie's arm for comfort as the three of them stared, nervously trembling in front of their leader. "It ain't right, and you know it!" "What's the meanin' of all this?!" He asked incredulously, taking a step back. "You all just get back from crazyville?? I mean, just listen to ya! This is our goal!" "No it's not!" Rosie snapped, her frame becoming tense. "C'mon, Buddy, let's just agitate the gravel from this place already! We can't just go around Buddy-izin' people!" "We can and we will! I can't believe you all are up and turning your backs on me like this!" "We aren't turning our backs on ya!" Cherry said, taking a step towards him. She had a fire in her eyes, one that he could only painfully recognize as the kind she held when she was being ridiculed by all those cubes in the street when they first met. Was he making her feel THAT hopeless? "We want to be friends as much as you do with every cat in Unova, but we can't keep forcin' it onto people! It's bogus, totally fake!" "I don't care if it's fake, Cherry! I'm NOT goin' back to the way things were!" Buddy was getting a little panicked, his grip on the wishmaking Pokemon tightening. "Every single square in Unova will shower me in friendship! They ain't got a choice!" "You don't need to do this!" Rosie protested. "But I do! I can't take the jeers anymore! I can't handle goin' back to bein' cornered! Everyone can be happy this way-!" "It isn't real happiness, Buddy!" Danny snapped suddenly, letting go of Rosie to approach him. "Don't ya see? If you gotta force someone to be your friend... They ain't really your friend!" Buddy looked at all of them with wide, shaking eyes. His heart was pounding, and if he wasn't careful, tears might have even formed in the corners of his eyes as well. Cherry stepped forward, her hand gently caressing the side of his cheek, delicate fingertips offering a kind comfort. "Buddy... Please." And just like that, he finally released his grip on Jirachi, ever so slowly.

And this is why I love you. Most youtubers worked hard on their evil teams, don't get me wrong but you turned it into a project, like you were developing a game. I love it! The romance would have been great too, wish you kept it in.

The singing wasn't bad at all, especially for an untrained singer. And your voice fit really well with the song. I really liked it, and I would have loved to hear both the full song you recorded, and the "Greased Lightning" concept. And the romance subplot sounded adorable.

Oooooh, I'm completely down with the rival idea! I think it would've been a great addition. How I imagine it is the rival being kind of a hothead, not necessarily overly violent but always wanting to go the extra mile. However, that doesn't mean that they have to be mean to the player, maybe just a little extra sometimes. I think someone who seems (and maybe even act) like they could wrestle a machoke (and _win_ ), but is in fact a ton of fun once you get to know them. This so that when he/she is buddy-ized they're so passive and patient with your character that the contrast is kind of creepy. More so when we're so used to them being aggressively friendly. Still, that's just the impression I got from the little bits of the rival we got to see. Awesome video, loved the song to death!

The back story details and the buddyizing subplot would've been awesome! I know it would've made the video way longer but to see your story become even more fleshed out and even crazier with a buddyized Cynthia would've been great! I can't wait for the sequel, I wonder how you'll incorporate Ultra Beasts (Especially Nihilego, considering it's mind control theme in Sun and Moon).

I think the way the Team Buddy video turned out was the best it could have. Everything that was cut would have dampened the experience down in my opinion, even only a tiny bit. The whole Team Buddy video was smooth, cleanly transitioning between every segment, even when it was time for an exposition break. There aren't any ways I can see the cut story elements be implemented into the already existing video without severely bogging down the pacing. Also phoned in romance is high up on my list of pet peeves, so there's that. :P

Oh god I feel WEAK. I went looking for BuddyxCherry art and was CRUSHED to not find any. Listen no lie, if you start writing the script can you lemme know? I totally wanna at least try and conjure some nice worthy fanart for them in Alola.;; Not sure if this comes off as big headed of me or not. I just really love the ship.

Oh man, I love the extra Buddy-ized characters plotline, especially the rival. With that subplot, Team Buddy would easily make my top three for creepiest Pokemon Teams, official or fanmade.

Most interesting thing you cut out in my opinion is the buddy version of Roxie. You know the teams plan has gon' whack when they brainwash a person who already have their original rocker style and interests. Seems way more evil in my opinion

I like the idea of 'Buddyized' Pokemon, Pokemon with a slightly different look and Fairy type added. For example: Cynthia's Garchomp with pink and purple colour (kind of like shiny mega Garchomp) and a Dragon/Fairy typing. I think this would add Fairy typing more easily to characters such as Gym Leaders that already have a type speciality, especially as there are no Fairy/Ground or Fairy/Poison type Pokemon.

These are all really cool ideas that left me with more questions than when I started- how were you planning to explain the lucid mist in the lab? What would a buddy-ized Cynthia look like- and would all these extra buddyized characters be introduced or referenced to the player at some point before turning to team buddy? You had so many great ideas-- and I can really respect and appreciate that you made the decision to cut out some of them for the purpose of clarity in your original video! Those kinds of creative decisions are always difficult but being able to make them really is the mark of a great storyteller. Maybe, if you weren't planning on using these scenes and dialogue in the second Team Buddy video, you could put up the rejected pages somewhere, just so people who were curious can read them? You don't have to of course! Regardless, this was a really engaging video despite being one of your lower-effort projects. You've got a great creative edge and your videos always make me remember why I love making up characters and storylines in the Pokemon universe. Keep up the amazing work.

You what I think should've happened with Cynthia in the game? I think there should've had the news report her disappearance, saying that she was nowhere in any regions, nor her home region, Sinnoh. It could've led to her big reveal near the end of the game

I think the buddiezed alternate script was really good EXCEPT for the Cynthia because Cynthia is a MONSTER of a champion and that would be a little crazy

I've seen so many Evil Team videos, and your's is tied for my favorite! I got there was an unspoken romance with your admins. Please! Get those other Buddy-ized characters made! Someone, please, made an animatic for the Nicest Team in Town song and dance!!!!

Hearing more about the young Mr. Buddy gave me a crazy idea about Celebi or Dialga taking the trainer back in time to meet and maybe even battle the young Mr. Buddy. Man that'd be so cool!

Mr. Buddy: Then I met Cherry Me: I ship it. Mr. Buddy: we were supposed to be a couple Me: Someone better answer that phone, BECAUSE I FRIGGIN CALLED IT!!!

I love the idea of more buddyized characters. It really shows how dangerous your team actually is. And now I have a great idea for Roxie's design

I'm so glad you were able to uplaod this content! - I'm both experiencing second hand embarssement and emense joy from your "Nice Kids In Town" parody. Please make a separate animated music video. It's... It's amazing ( At least in the sequal, dude!)

The song was great! But including it might have betrayed buddy’s “nice guy” guy appearance a bit too soon I think, as he kinda carries himself more like a composed gentleman than a bubblegum pop singer. Him singing if anything felt closer to his greaser persona, so I think holding it for a sequel makes more sense

I love all these ideas, but the Rival Idea is personally my favorite, along with the relationship between Buddy and Cherry. It helps introduce a rival that is present in other pokemon games and include them in the story, instead of just throwing them in at the last second.

I woulda loved to see the buddized characters. Hopefully we can see them at some point.

I love the idea of Cynthia being buddy-ized. Nothing would sell just how dangerous Team Buddy was getting quite like a champion being turned. But if Iris or Alder were turned, people would definitely notice something was up. Que Cynthia, a champion from another region. The Unovan populace don't know much about her. If people met her after she turned, they'd just assume she's always like that. Now I want to see concept art of her. Going out on a limb on how she got buddy-ized, she probably ran into some grunts while on vacation and they told her about the luxuries at their base. Cynthia would go there to try it out and BAM, buddy Cynthia. Love your videos. Enjoyed the Scandinavian region. I can't wait to see more.

I love of these ideas. I do agree that the mist lab would have been unnecessary. I do love the idea of Clay and your rival being buddyized and they would be a great edition to the story. Cynthia and Roxie the story could live without, but showing the power of the buddy mist was a great idea.

I think explaining how you met the other Team Buddy admin's makes a lot of sense. The romantic element adds a lot to the story, when the admins change their minds. Also, you could explain the origin of Mr. Buddy's supposed "signature Pokemon" Grimer/Muk. Seeing the Buddy-ized versions of characters would help to explain exactly what it means to be Buddy-ized. I like the vibe of everyone becoming brainwash, so it would have been cool to see that explored more. The rival subplot is also really cool.

Buddy in the main video: “There’s a little bit of cut content that didn’t make it that I didn’t get to share.” This video of the “little bit” of cut content: Half as long as the main video lol I love it I love videos like this and I love seeing all of your ideas on the stories and backstories on this kind of thing! Don’t shy away from making this kind of video I just love ‘em!

I would have preferred a more Unova oriented story, like Victini instead of Jirachi. Victini would have worked better because it makes the V symbol-the symbol used by Churchill at the end of WW2 and Team Buddy have a 50s/60s theme, which would have been a reference to it. Also, you normally find Victini in a lighthouse on an island which is just a boat's ride from Castelia-where Team Buddy's base is. I think you should make more videos. If you look at your video list, it's looking pretty dry. I feel like you spend a lot of time making one video.

Great bonus vid, bud! tho I must say 20:01 why not a triple battle with all 3? we're in Unova where it originated from but that's just my thoughts on it, still a fun vid overall ^w^ (ps; you sing exactly like a greaser/rockabelly and it was shocking how good it was don't ever sell yourself short with that XD)

Hey, im here to say that your story really inspired me to do my own evil team. I'm mostly structuring like a fan fiction rather than a game, but i do have some gamy elements to it. Just here to thank you because your writing is super top notch. I'll continue my journey throught the buddyverse soon enough, who knows? Maybe I'll will take a misstep and be Buddy-zied

I think you should have included the Buddy-ized Clay. It could be explained that you did it so you would have more funds (Clay being a business man and rather wealthy) for your Buddy Empire to get as big as it has.

AWWW MAN, I really wish you would've gone through with the alternate script, or combined the two into one badass story about a cool as hell evil team. it would've been a far cooler story had everything played out the same, but with the additions of the alternate script. And this makes me love your evil team far more, knowing the cut content. Especially the love angle. As corny as that would have been, it would have been absolutely amazing if it has been included.

Yo if there was a lucid lab scene where when you walk in to do whatever, you see the people unconciously being converted, and then when your done and on your way out your surrounded by a whole bunch of Buddy members surrounding you would have been scary as all heck

I acctually thought of Alder when you spoke about the other buddyized guys, instead of Cynthia, because Alder is so friendly and peacefull, I'd think he would take interest in team Buddy, but maybe he'd be buddyized before he realized something was off. But Cynthia also made sense with the plot, and people like her more, so I think I get why you'd choose her

I think most of these ideas are pretty amazing, especially your interpretation of The Nicest Kids in Town. Personally, I think you did the best you could to sing the song, since your best is all anyone can do, and I'm sure you could be a good singer if you wanted to, know what I mean?

Considering I loosely based it around 50's gangsters/ hit men me being the boss I'm even wearing a Stetson, a scarf, a pair of gloves, a pair of glasses, and this big gray stripped suit. Using my favorite type dark. As the main type of Pokémon: to be exact dark and dragon types along with ghost. (Edit) the only REAL difference is instead of a musical we play old 50's and 20's radio dramas and of course Jazz!

What do you mean "bad singing?" It was awesome! Your voice has that 50's accent and stylization in the song. I find it cool that you made "The Nicest Kids In Town" into a Pokemon version. I am creating an evil team called "Team Capone" based on the Chicago outfit and the leader and admins will sometimes wear costumes

This is a really unique take on an evil team and I love it. One thing I wound of done personally would have done is changed one of the female admins to look like the nice buddy and the grunts and made her have that relationship with Mr. Buddy. Excellent idea though, absolutely love it

I just read "The Outsiders" in class, and when I saw the video, I heard Cherry and just knew what it was meant to be
