Consoles, and especially Xbox/Microsoft have a very slow process for validating each update or patch. Steam doesn't have that so it gets patched very fast

Assuming there's a backend count scaling is 4^(x-1) where x is how many are picked up total, or using the normal item count the scaling is 4^root(x-1)

That would make sense. I thought the way it increased was weird, so that would explain why it goes 1, 4, 16, 64, 256. Although I don't know why you said root. 4^(x-1) works as long as 4^(-1) is rounded to 0.... Otherwise there could just be an exception made for 0 items held.

@linkmastr Aye, when you pick up one 4^(0) = 1 so you will have one. As long as 4^(-1) is rounded down or handled as an exception, everything will work fine. Since 4^(-1)=1/4=0.25>0

I use "actually faster" in combination with "faster interactible balancer". The second one adds the time saved printing and scrapping to your timer

so, technically speaking, if every item scales exponentially you should have 1 of every item to start. The way you explained it, item effect=4^(number of stacks of item) and anything raised to the 0th power is 1 so it should look more like this 0 stacks=1 item 1 stack= 4 items 2 stacks = 16 items etc... Edit: okay, after watching the video more, it's new stacks=previous stacks*4 which would fall under exponential growth so nevermind

My friends and me tried this and got max gasoline, and it burns from across the map and mithrix had all our items we copied with scrap... we lost 3 faze in 1.2 seconds while on top of different pillars.... it was funny

That's not exponential, it's just 4x items When he gets one item, the whole stack is multiplied by 4 (with the exception of the first stack that just gives him 1) 1 1x4=4 4x4=16 16x4=64 64x4=256 It's called exponential because if you were to write an expression for the number of items he'd get after n pickups, it's the exponent that changes. In this case it's 4^(n-1) I believe

My RoR2 has been bugged for months now. Anytime I try to launch through Steam the game crashes. I've gone as far as to contact the actual devs from the official Discord and even they couldn't provide much help. If ANYONE can help me, I'd greatly appreciate it!

yeah pre void on console, all drones would basically gravitate to your feet constantly, and now half the time you’re drone will be halfway across the map from you for no reason this and void dlc made free bands impossible unless you’re playing engi as for some reason all the pots have become immovable objects
