I love how realistically fighting is portrayed in the show. In season 1, Miguel fought dirty and won, In season 2, Miguel had mercy, and he lost. Just like real life.

All the cobra kai students might be against Johnny, but miguel wont. He cannot be brainwashed easily.

First of all: Daniel would not have ignored johnny in the hospital because he would be upset that Cobra Kai one again seemed to be the villains and would get Daniel EXTREMELY PISSED so he would confront johnny Second: I don't think that Kreese would be in the dojo and if he was, the students wouldn't be training with him. The reason why the students trained with Kreese originally was because they were mad at Johnny for showing mercy and telling Miguel to as well. SO if Miguel never showed mercy, the students would have never betrayed Johnny.

Great analysis overall. I think the only thing you overlooked is the loyalty part of the students to Kreese. Miguel getting paralyzed and potentially dying is what turned them against Johnny because they felt like he let them down. If Miguel breaks Robby's arm, Cobra Kai still wins and I don't think they all turn. Aisha and all the initial CK students definitely would stay with Johnny and probably some of the ones who joined in the summer stay with him too. I think only Hawk (because he's power hungry), assface, and a few others go to Kreese creating a true split Cobra Kai. I would've also touched on Miguel and Johnny's relationship. I don't think Johnny would readily accept Miguel back. He told Miguel multiple times to fight with honor and the attack on Robby would've definitely fractured the relationship with. Overall though, really good job.

What's confusing about this is that there is this theme in the show of how the 'no mercy' thing is BS. When Johnny visits his old friends they call Kreese out on his BS. But then they end the season showing Miguel basically nearly dying because he showed mercy. So IDK what the show is getting at. Also Miguel breaking Robby's arm would more sense thematically, showing johnny hadn't taught Miguel right and that HE broke his sons arm by proxy. Instead the season ends on Kreese being 'right'.

Robby never turned into a good guy. He was always bad throughout the series. Even when he was considered to be good, he continually lied. He’s the reason why Johnny and Daniel stayed at odds. Anytime it seemed as if Johnny and Daniel would be cool, here comes Robby to mess it up.

If sato returned it can’t be the original actor because he died. Danny Kamekona passed away in 1996. His family decided not to release the cause of death. Thomas Ian Griffith hasn’t done any acting since 2007. I heard he gave up acting so him returning as Terry Silver is doubtful but who knows anything is possible.

I think a VERY interesting and loaded "what if" would be "what if Johnny had beaten Daniel at the All Valley Tournament". It'd be fun to explore the ramifications of altering the entirety of the sequels and see where it could've gone. Perhaps johnny could've returned in the sequels and their differences could've been resolved decades ago

That would be cool to see Daniel going on a trip to Okinawa by himself to find peace in Season 3 and maybe he sees Chozen on the way there

I thought season two was a bit heavy on gratuitous flashbacks. Season 1 successfully got us invested in the new characters well enough that it wasn't necessary.

You also have a third more boring option. Miguel doesn't break Robbies arm but restrains him until security arrive which we know are close by. Either thst or Miguel is more away when he releases and is prepared for if Robbie lashes out. Either of those would end with security breaking up the fight. They would all probably go to the hospital, Sam would probably be annoyed at Miguel and we would have the same result with Kreese. Miguel's mum would still be annoyed at Johnny but Miguel would try defend Johnny to him mum. Johnny would end up on the beach in the same way but just less upset.

You know I was really starting to love Robby as a character even after what he’d done. But when he kicked Miguel off the railing I lost that tie. It was sad but VERY well written.

This is my personal opinion, I think it would’ve been more interesting if Robbie was the one who fell off the ledge and broke his back unconscious. It would’ve shown that Robbie actually learned something from Miyagi-Do and also show that Miyagi-Do isn’t all evil. Another thing is that it would’ve connected to what Kreese said about Miguel earlier in episode 7, “looks like that champ of yours is developing a real killer instinct.” In my fanfic, Robbie holds Miguel pinned to the ground about to break his arm for revenge in the tournament but he remembers what Daniel said in season one, “Your father has a lot of demons in him, your father had the worst teacher there ever was it sent him down the wrong path, but you don’t have to go down that path.” He lets him go and out of anger, Miguel kicks him off the railing and Robbie falls unconscious with this time Sam screaming “Robbie” and with tears streaming down her eyes, she looks at Miguel and doesn’t say anything, while Miguel runs away. Sam runs to Robbie’s body and Dimitri with Chris along with her. Both Sam and Robbie would go to the hospital with Sam feeling more guilty because she knows she cheated on him and that’s why the fight started. Daniel would be even more devastated than ever and would have a deeper hatred for Johnny. Miguel and Tory show up at Johnny’s place and explain to him what happened, without a word Johnny rushes to the hospital with Carmen and Daniel sees them and doesn’t say anything with tears in his eyes and walks away. Johnny looks at Carmen and this time she says, “it’s ok Johnny, it’s not your fault, everything will be okay.” But without a word Johnny walks down the hall to see his unconscious son. Johnny will then show up to the dojo where Kreese is there training the student, only this time Kreese says, “Class, your Sensei is here.” Since Miguel would never get injured, the students would have no reason to turn on him. Kreese then says, “Our students were ready for the fight, because of you and me. You trained them well, just like I always knew you would.” Johnny would then look at his students in disbelief then he would say, “No, get out.” And Kreese would talk about how he owns part of the dojo, In utter shock of what Kreese has done to his students, Johnny gives him the dojo and leaves At the hospital Daniel meets his wife in Sam’s room, only this time Daniel is the one to make the decision to close Miyagi-Do knowing that it caused nothing but trouble for the people he cared for most. Johnny then sits on the beach and the season ends.

I don’t think they would turn on Johnny like they did in the regular time line cause they never failed him the reason they left is cause of Miguel so I think he’d keep the dojo but maybe two would go with kreese like Tory and later hawk but come back like in season three

This was tragic. What a terrible position Johnny is in now. Johnny needs to support Miguel because he made the promise....but he also must support Robbie as his father. This will create serious friction and conflict - which is great drama, but complicated. Will Miguel stay loyal if Johnny supports Robbie? I can't say I would miss Robbie as a character if he disappeared. I just really didn't like the character or the actor. But...what will the aftermath be for Robbie's actions? He did kick Miguel over a railing for a long, life-threatening fall - after being shown mercy and given an apology. Will the writers do a "double dragon" theme where Miguel and Robbie are on the same team but still complete, eventually becoming "brothers"? Will Miguel go Batman (post Bane) and fight his way to full recovery to overcome the odds? It should be interesting what the writers come up with. To answer - if Miguel had broken Robbie's arm, he wouldn't be in a coma, but he would have basically gone full Anakin as a result, permanently killing his underdog status. That would be character assassination. Rather, this is the set-up for a recovery story.

People would still hate Robby for no reason and cheer on Miguel

I want to see Hawk and the new Cobra Kai find and destroy Robbie. No mercy style. Miguel is my favorite Character. He went from a quiet and reserved kid to a bad ass fighter who crushed season 1 bullies.

I hadn't watched Cobra Kai ever since it first came out because we already had netflix, and when i found out that Cobra Kai was coming to netflix I was hyped. We wanted to see the show so bad, and we just finished the second season, and finished the series in just 2 days.....I say this show tops Riverdale and is the best sequel show I've ever watched, and I went berserk at the last episode of season 2. (I also just realized you also do star wars theory 😂)

Robbie refused to steal from Daniel's car lot. He fought with thieves trying to retrieve Daniel wives stolen wallet. He stood up for bullied Dimitri. In school, Robbie was trying to break up the girls fight when Miguel attacked him. Also he didn't deliberately throw Miguel down the stairs

Samantha: Samantha will not be practicing karate because her mom will not allow it, however, she could get dragged back into it if she keeps getting attacked by the cobra Kai kids at school. Samantha will clearly not be with Robbie because Robbie will more likely be on the run and it was very clear when she yelled at Robbie, after Robbie knocked MIGUEL off the balcony L, that she seemed to believe that he did to MIGUEL what he did on purpose. “Robbie what did you do?!?!?!” Robby: He will either be on the run or he will end up in juvenile detention for assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury. This was actually foreshadowed by Dimitri when he got punched by Kreese after he was examining Kreese’ tattoo. He was having a FaceTime conversation with Hawk about assault carrying a one year in county jail. With Robbie it will be worse because of what happened to Miguel. Robbie will rebuild his relationship with Johnny more likely But the rebuilding of that relationship will cause problems because the cobra Kai will feel that Johnny sacrificed Miguel for his own kid. ALSO it causes problems between Johnny and Miguel and Miguel’s mother. Johnny is in a NO-WIN situation here because he really needs to establish a relationship with his son. But that relationship will cause Miguel to start hating Johnny potentially. Miguel might start believing that Johnny really did not have his best interest at heart This is all assuming that Miguel even recovers. But the kids at cobra Kai will definitely believe that Johnny sold them out for his own son. Going back to Robbie, if Johnny shows TOO MUCH care for MIGUEL in the hospital this could reignite his anger again toward his own father for preferring another kid over him. Tory: She is with Kreese’ cobra kai. At 26:36 of the last episode of season 2 you can see her on the far left. She will probably not be interested in a relationship with Miguel at this point this is just a strict revenge thing. But if Miguel dies that will definitely increase her hatred towards Samantha. In the event that she is interested still in a relationship with MIGUEL this will just fan the flame of anger that she has towards Samantha which could potentially be the basis for Samantha wanting to get back into karate There are further complications that could potentially come up if the theory that Tory is a Schwarber turns out to be true. That would be the last name of Ali’s husband, and if a relationship between Ali and Johnny restart that’s a whole bucket of problems. That’s just another mess. A huge mess. She clearly grew up poor, she mentioned that her mom was a single mother that got fired at a restaurant for taking food that was going to be thrown away. Which tells me that her natural father more likely abandoned her mom or divorced her before he became a doctor himself. Hawk: He is basically the new Dutch and his rivalry will be primarily with Dimitri. Although she still cares about Miguel. But there can be problems if Miguel recovers and does not go with the Kreese Cobra kai. Dimitri: Dimitri will more likely be inspired by the fact that he was able to knock out Hawk, but he will not have an outlet to learn more karate because Daniel closed down his school. (unless he goes to some other random school like Tapanga karate) It’s possible that Hawk will start beating up Dimitri and maybe it will be Dimitri who will pressure Daniel to teach him. Both Samantha and Dimitri and potentially the other kids that were in Miyagi-do Will start getting beaten up at school by the cobra Kai kids under Kreese. This seems to enforce the belief that Daniel is going to be forced to reopen the school. Aisha: She is a bit of a mystery. She is not there at the end with Kreese. Which makes sense because even though she was cobra Kai she was Samantha‘s friend and she was basically a bridge character between cobra Kai and Miyagi. With the rivalry getting really heated, even though she was with cobra Kai, she would more likely not stick on either side. Aisha was building a relationship with Tory but I don’t think she would have been crazy with her announcement over the intercom that she was going to beat up Samantha, before the big fight at the end of season two. As a matter fact, toward the beginning of the fighting, she tried to be the voice of reason until one of the Miyagi-Do kids attacked her. More likely she will probably stay on the sidelines and sort of still be a bridge. But cobra Kai will resent her for not specifically being with cobra Kai IF she’s not specifically with cobra Kai. Remember, they have very black-and-white philosophy (either you’re with us or against us) I think her relationship will Samantha will continue, and she will probably be checking up on Miguel. More likely she will be a bridge between Samantha and Miguel at the very least for checking up on his progress at the hospital. Bert: He was also not there with Kreese. It’s hard to tell what the relevancy of his character will be. I don’t think he’s going to join either school unless some really big event forces him to choose one or the other. Or his parents might just not let him practice anymore. Daniel’s wife: She’s going to forbid Daniel and Samantha from engaging in any kind of karate Either teaching or practicing If Daniel gets back into it She will threaten divorce and if that happens and if Ali comes back That will create a bigger wedge and another new problem potentially between Daniel and Johnny. However, Daniel’s wife may agree with Daniel to re-open a karate school if she has no choice due to Samantha getting beaten up and the school not doing anything about it. Kreese: I don’t see any changes in him aside from potentially enforcing the hatred and in his students if Miguel gets worse. At the end of the last season he basically won because both Johnny and Daniel are gone from the scene. Questions: Did Kreese order Stingray to go to the school to become a security guard for the purposes of ensuring that cobra Kai can cause more trouble at the school? Did Kreese entice Tory to make the intercom announcement to start the big fight at school in the first place? Worse... Did Kreese ever get to Robbie? I found it really weird that Robbie attacked Miguel after Miguel had already backed off. Did Kreese show Robbie not to have Mercy? He clearly kept pushing Johnny’s buttons about bringing Robbie over to cobra Kai because it seemed in proper for Robbie to be training under Daniel. I don’t see him looking for reinforcements right now because Daniel and Johnny are down right now. Only in a situation where Johnny and Daniel attack him Will he bring reinforcements. (either Mike Barnes or Terry silver or both) Terry silver would be extremely dangerous because he could mess with Daniel’s business. Billionaire, nuff said. Terry Silver: I only see him coming in as a way to mess with Daniel economically. Mike Barnes: I only see him coming in as a way to mess with Daniel or Johnny physically. (in exchange for economic gain) Stingray: I think the whole purpose of his character is specifically so that he can be a security guard at the high school. This would potentially be the catalyst for Daniel opening a new school because Stingray, as a security guard, will protect the Cobra Kai’s from getting in trouble but the other kids will keep getting harassed by them. The question I have is if this was all part of Kreese’s plan. Did he order Stingray to go to the school to become a security guard for the purposes of ensuring that cobra Kai can cause more trouble at the school. When Daniel’s wife sees the harassment and she sees that the school does nothing about it she might have no choice but to allow Daniel to reopen a school.

I wish I could hop into the timeline where this happens.

Robbie is kind of like Anakin. He started off as a good person trying to put a stop to the aggressive cobra kai just like how anakin was set to stop the Sith. But then in the end Robbie was overwhelmed with hate like anakin with the jedi. Robbie beats miguel when miguel showed mercy and robbie kicks him off the ledge. Just like how anakin killed the Jedi during order 66.

To be fair, this is the first fight since the tournament where Miguel was less than honourable. This exonerates Robby to some extent. It was a moment of weakness with tragic implications. If nothing else this makes Robby's redemption story even more layered. Robby didn't mean to injure him. There was a lot of bad blood already. Robby is still a good kid. If Miguel had broken his arm then Miguel would be the heel. That's not what the story has built to, it hasn't built to Robby as the heel either. Hawk might be a heel, he's essentially the Dutch with a different backstory. Robby remembers to tournament as well as the stuff with Sam and got carried away. Miguel is basically redeemed. I definitely see this leading to Johnny and Daniel joining forces...eventually. I can see Miguel eventually forgiving Robby, but Sam will be the tough one.

Very interesting theory, but in regards to Sato returning to this franchise, unfortunately it won't happen as for the actor who portrayed Sato in Part 2 passed away in 1996, so most likely who'd only appear in flash backs

He didn't even need to put Robby out of commission, all he needed to do was keep his guard up.

Making Robbie out to be the villain is the most brainless thing I've ever read. By no means am I trying to justify what he did. However, the instant regret on Robbie's face says it all. I have never been in a real fight however I’d imagine when your in one of that nature your not aware of your surroundings. I mean damn I thought Robbie was going over at one point then when Miguel went over I was caught off guard. Anger got the best of him for one second and just like that he's the main villain. From Robbie's perspective Miguel kissed his girl and started the fight when he was being the bigger person and trying to stop the fight between Sam and Tory. He had no chance to hear Miguel or Sam out to get the full story because all hell broke loose and he had to protect himself from Miguel. Then anger took over and it was no longer self defense but back and forth blows. By no means do I blame Miguel either. To me Sam made the first move and kissed Miguel and from his perspective Robbie was putting hands on his girlfriend so he jumped in. I see both sides and don’t see a villain in either of them. All I see are misunderstandings and some lack of judgement mixed in with some built up anger. (BOTH SIDES) I like them both and really hope Miguel isn't paralyzed or a cripple for too long next season. I'd love to see them become friends and fight on one team as they are clearly the top students. And I also hope Robbie doesn’t stray to his old ways because of one huge mistake. Doubt anyone reads this but I had fun writing it.

It is ironic how each of them did the exact opposite of what they originally learned (Miguel acted as a Miyagi, and Robby as a Cobra). I believe that's how Daniel and Johnny will eventually come up with something in-between those two doctrines.
