@@scottpearson9846 Naga is playable in the campaign - though i'm sure you meant no option to play them in multiplayer, which always seemed weird to me. Blizzard had made naga into a semi-playable race in the campaign, i don't see why they couldn't implement it into an actual playable race.
I find it so sad that meele players see 1 ancient custom map and think it's cool. There's countless amazing maps. Blizzard could never offer that anymore.

I wonder if grubby can pin this comment too! I can definitely see the passion that you put into this. I am neither player or designer, just retired lol, but this is truly what I loved about wc3.
Love this. Truly, the Warcraft III universe has a plethora of options for additional unique race ideas. Gnoll, bandit, murloc, furbolg... the list goes on and on. Hope to see more!
@@heyimj662 and undead are just raised humans tho. Bandits could be playable with heroes like VanCleef. You can basically grab whole Westfall bandit army and make it a race.
As a fellow long-time Wc3 modder focusing on custom factions/heroes (Kyrbi0), this is so incredibly cool to see that part of things getting exposure in the wider community. Thanks Grubby for doing this, and kudos to my friend Maxwell who labored significantly over this masterpiece of a custom faction. Would love to see more of these (Wa666r on the Hive has done almost a dozen of these & they are all quite good). Maybe even someday my Jungle Trolls (when they are finished 😅).
First time I've seen a visual change of a unit after upgrading. 9:43 Brilliant! The opponent going in crypt fiends also tried to recreate the real history of Warcraft in this game. :D
Man nerubians freaking slapped. My old self dreaming for a new wc rts game or new races would have been easily jebaited by the quality of this race even though nerubians isnt that of a popular race. Like had i seen a trailer about arthas fighting the nerubians that refused to bow to the scourge i have would have believed it.
I have a map made by me, with naga, demons and high elves races! They are actually balanced, but i need to fix the bug of the heroes in the altar, that you can create them again and again… someone can help me ?
Brah... this was really good. Totally agree that this should have been what came with the WC3 Reforged package. I'd like to see more gameplay of the Spiders... In celebration of Across the Spider-verse coming out of course!
I love altered melee there and your videos. There is a map great metropolis with something like 15 races, very fun. With threatening creeping and lots of late game shenanigans. Up to 8 players.
That's what I call a quality job of mapmaker, damn good and original wc3 style and taste kept quite good, maybe not yet perfectly fitting visually but far better than no less than 95% of the mods, need just some polishing and only to my humble opinion. Mechanics are implemented super good. I used to work as a mapmayker a lot in the past and know how much job was put into it, I virtually shake hand to ones who made it.
Man, this is awesome! The unit models look great, the race seems like it should be versatile enough to compete with the current ones. Actually seems a bit OP and could use a bunch of nerfs, but that would require some larger-scale testing not to go overboard.
that was pretty sick, i remember a old wc3 map that was semiofficial seeming, where you could play as either base races against creep races and their monolith townhalls, or creep vs creep
Pretty cool, I feel like bringing eggs around and using that item to heal all your units could be very strong. Like a cheap scroll of healing in combat.
This custom Nerubian race actually REALLY reminds me (and maybe was actually inspired by) of also a custom Nerubian race made for "Nature's Call - Return of the Dragon" campaign by Darky29. This was seriously a crazy big project with TONS of custom models, icons and animation pushing old pre-1.29 map and campaign file sizes - for example Nerubians produced from eggs around structures was already implemented here among many other things.
This Guy shud be Hierd by Blizzard and make this Race able in the ranked 1 vs 1! Looks sick good! even tho its very zerg inspierd and i play Protoss in Sc1 when i play sc and not Wc3 (Hu main Ud offrace) it would be a cool race to face on ladder! Well Done Maxwell! Love the designs you made - Darkswarm ability at the end might be to strong tho x)
So awesome. It's ashamed BZ didn't even bother adding Naga as playable race in RE. It's always the community doing the hard works to prolong one game's life by creating fabulous mod like this.

there's another nerubian race mod that actually even has its own custom campaign. it uses a similar concept of growing units from eggs, but the eggs are spawned by queens, which also harvest gold and nest inside of buildings to give them defensive attacks and auto-spawn eggs. they also don't have supply buildings, instead increasing their supply cap through research like they're playing dawn of war

This is so cool, I always loved the Nerubian design / architecture and lore introduced in Wrath of the Lich King. They should be explored more in Warcraft.
i remember always wanting nerubians as a 5th race ever since i played the campaign of wc3 when i was a wee lad. The buildings looked so cool. Thanks for this nostalgia trip!
Very cool gameplay. Hats of the the creator Maxwell! I’m curious if you can spawn broodings with the caster ability off of your own units. Could be an interesting edge, deny enemy Xperia and get a unit.
If this was official, I could probably experience the Nerubian vengeance to reclaim their subterranean kingdom that was once destroyed by the Lich King.
My dream was the old good blizzard making Warcraft IV with Orcs, Taurens, Undead, Nerubians, Humans, Blood Elves, Dwarves e Trolls. And making some DLCs to make more Races like Worgens, Goblins, Draineis, Demons and Gnomes. They put every potencial in the Trash Can with Reforged.
Please pla more, also note to the creator if u ever see this comment, maybe use voice lines from wowhead for some insectoid npc and bosses, and maybe change the colours of the building to fit more of the ahn'kaher kingdom dungeon, overall this mode looks pretty good and I wanna try it out
I remember there was an ancient custom campaign Natures Call: Rise of the Spider Queen. Reminds me of it. Pity its sequel has never been finished. God I so miss the old times, before the Reforged...
incredible quality of animations and spells, truly gorgeous. Would absolutely love to play a single player campaign following the story of these nerubians.
Hype it, we can do something like w3 tournament with nerubians only, 500€ prizemoney is juicy enough for most players and we can collect that in an hour.
I tried to make a ladder like map like this back in those years. It was supposed to have all the Warhammer Fantasy races. I was also considering doing the same with secondary Warcraft races, like Nerubians and revamping Nagas. Ogres... Legion...
