If I didn't know any better, I'd say Anakin’s mother was a Jedi stranded on Tatooine somehow. The wisdom and advice she gave her son would make Master Yoda proud.
It's possible she is a Latent Force User. She can use the force but isn't "aware" that she is using it. Probability because she hasn't had any training and or doesn't know about the Force.
@@bigwhitehound i doubt it, qui gon would have sensed it plus dont you think there would have at least been a sign at some point? making a character be force sensitive only for them to show 0 signs or knowledge on it up until there death seems pointless story telling wise
@@Omnipulsar Maybe. However none of the Jedi could sense that Palpatine was a powerful force user. Also Shmi Skywalker was very oppressed women. So maybe she was in denial?
@@bigwhitehound I don't think she's Force Sensitive. If she were, the Tuskens would probably see her as a deity rather than subjecting her to torture. Even if she's unaware of her abilities, they would likely perceive her as special and protect her. In a state of distress and fear, she might unconsciously use the Force to defend herself, perhaps even inadvertently using Force Choke. Witnessing a seemingly defenseless woman effortlessly overpower their comrades, the surviving Tuskens would likely surrender to her without hesitation. Just look at the Ewoks and Threepio. All he did was levitate with Luke’s help and they immediately released the rebels.
This was amazing. I’ve been a fan of your videos for a while and it’s always fun to see your interesting SW what if’s. It was also fun to see Padme saving Shmi getting shown some love. This is definitely an interesting scenario and it should definitely get shown some more love. Plus I think we can all agree that this is probably one of the most interesting/best scenarios in SW…but it’s a welcome one. Also if Padme did free Shmi…then it would definitely be an interesting opportunity to show another side of her character and make her even more interesting. It was also nice to see Padme saving Shmi, since she’s one of the greatest characters to exist and definitely made Anakin proud. Plus it was nice to see Padme do something special for Anakin. Also, I think we could all agree that Shmi definitely has great words of wisdom and is a pretty good instructor. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next. I do have a few ideas for some possible what if’s: 1) What if Rey was a Mandalorian…essentially what if Din Djarin found Rey and took her in as a Foundling. 2) What if Ezra was a Mandalorian…something like how both his parents were Mandalorians who left Mandalore and went to start their own lives (you could still keep most of Ezra’s backstory) and potentially make Ezra and Sabine a couple (since Disney won’t, we have too…#ezrabine4ever. 3) What if Jango Fett and/or Boba Fett Joined the Republic…I think something interesting could happen with this. 4) What if Rey, Finn and Poe went back in time to the Clone Wars…this would make the World Between Worlds even more of an important focal point and I could also see them get along well with Anakin, Ashoka, Rex and the rest of the 501st (it would be fun to see Rey, Finn and Poe join the 501st) I hope these are some amazing ideas for some potential What if’s
What if Revan wasn't found in stasis until the first year of the clone wars? That would mean that Revan in his prime would be alive and well, and Darth Vitiate's spirit would still be dormant since Revan didn't awake his spirit at Yavin.
I think in this alternate timeline with Shmi alive, Anakin would NOT be swayed by Palpatine's manipulations disguised as mentoring because despite his attachments towards Shmi and Padmé, Shmi would always have a much better wisdom that is not something the Jedi would give to somebody while the Sith obviously represent temptation of desires à la the Devil. Because since Anakin has known that his mother is freed and safe while living on Naboo and working presumably for the planet's monarchy, Anakin would be able to stay more focused on his training as a Jedi in an attempt to master his full potential in the Force and would be able to discover that Palpatine and Darth Sidious are both one in the same who has been manipulating the galaxy since Anakin was 9 years old, therefore fulfilling his role of being the Chosen One of Jedi lore by destroying the Sith and bringing balance to the Force.
I feel like Palpatine, would have tried to get Shmi Skywalker killed/assassinated like he attempted to with Padme. He knows Anakin's is more "attached" to his mom than Padme, and therefore force Anakin to the dark side. I don't know if it was said (in lore or legends) how Shmi got by Tusken Raiders or if Palpatine somehow orchestrate her abduction. Either way, Palpatine knows Shmi needed to go or use her to his advantage to control Anakin like he did with Padme. Therefore I think with what I assume things will turn out how it originally would with the exception of Shmi living longer and a possible failed attempt on Shmi and Padme's life (I think he would try to kill two birds with one stone and obviously Padme won't die and Shmi will from trying to save Padme or something). Otherwise this version is pretty good.
Palpatine would've still tried to have an assassin take her out, and he would taunt Ani with it through his dream like he did with Padme dying during labor. The same scenario with Padme that we seen in the Prequels would've still unfolded as well. Ani would still feel anxious hiding his attachment for both from the Jedi Remember, Palpatine was determined and very devious at this point in the saga. Nothing about what Ani went through happened on its own. He was being manipulated from the beginning using his human emotions against himself while also using the tenants of the Order against his standing with them and slowly building resentment until he couldn't take it anymore.
Really loved this story due to the fact that shme is alive and with padme most of the time and that obi wan grants him an hour inside the restricted archive. ❤
Shimi relocating to Naboo even as a palace servant is beautiful idea. Too bad Padme never thought about that idea after The Phantom Menace as a way to thank Anakin for helping her planet. That way she could be safe from thugs and Tuskin Raiders. She would give her son some light and advice during The Clone Wars if he’s struggling with the Jedi during that conflict. Ahsoka would also meet her and even provide protection if necessary.
It was interesting when Anakin was let into the archives to learn that prolonging life was a light side ability. This gave Anakin the wisdom to see through Palpatine. If Mace and the council had granted him the rank of master or at least gave him access to the archives, he might have figured it out that he was being manipulated. Seems like there was a lack of communication due to mistrust.
The jedi are truly the reason why Anakin became Vader. I'm even surprised that none of the younglings even see through the deceitfulness of the jedi. They kidnap children away from their parents to train them to use a lightsaber & they just let the parents be separated with their children & family with no visit or anything. Anakin's story is most tragic since his dream is to be a jedi & to free his mom from slavery & they didn't even tried to free her despite Anakin's vision.
Maybe Anakin might not join the dark side as he might legally be married into royalties. He might have more guards to protect him and his wife, his children who were born as twins might still be able to live with them, being known as Princess Leia and Prince Luke(Lucas or Lukas). Anakin would NOT join the dark sides as the evil emperor would never cross path with him. And the dark star would never exist nor the storm troopers ever existed either. Hans Solo would never cross path with Luke and Leia and the rebellion would never have happened. Instead the ending of Star Wars would be completely different from what we are now used to hearing about for years.
IRL it would actually be illegal to do this. Just like when dealing with any illegal "product", like drugs for example, it is illegal in almost every nation to go out and by some, even if your intentions are pure, because it would still be contributing financially to criminal activity, in this case the slave trade. So it's very possible - even likely - that the in-universe reason nobody ever went back for Shmi is because it would have landed them in a Republic penal colony for financially supporting slavery. And if they (especially Padme or the Jedi) went and took her by force, that would constitute an international diplomatic incident at best, and potentially an act of war against the Hutt Cartels by the Naboo government or agents of the Republic at worst. It would mean going into Hutt territory, violating Hutt law, stealing the "property" of - and probably maiming and killing - Hutt subjects, all of which are acts that have started wars in irl history.
no no no , the Jedi would not have assign him as her body guard while they likely weren't told you can't keep something like this a secret for long it was bound to be reviled before the attempted assassinations they knew of attachments they wouldn't have rewarded that attachment
Haven't seen your videos in my subscriptions in awhile! Subscribed to so many channels! Sometimes I don't see other channels. Also Been thinking of doing some what ifs of my own on my new Star Wars channel. Got any advice at all?

People always think they know Star Wars best and will tell you that’s not how the story should of went but what they fail to realize is it is a “what if” and in such videos a million different possibilities exist and that’s the beauty of it. Be confident in your story and don’t let one negative person get you down.

You seem to forget what Watto said Republic Currency is worthless to Tatooine Currency. Pod Racing and Gambling seems to be the only way to make that amount of money.
@@Eric6761 It’s the outer rim Republic Credits have no value so they can’t exchange to get real money. And pointing a gun at Watto will have Padme executed and the Republic would be put in a very bad situation any act of violence towards the outer rim is an act of war.
Well how long passes between episode 1 and when Padme buys her? Apparently she was freed not long after Anakin left and married Cleig so its not like she was still a slave but even if she had been freed before she met him I get a feeling she still would have died. Many feel Palpatine setup her capture by the Tuskans to push Anakin to the Dark Side and having her on Naboo of all places would just make her an easier target for Palpatine. And even if she didn't die I really don't think Luke and Leia would be trained as Jedi. Most What if scenarios that involve them being born with Anakin and Padme alive they always are just fully accepted as Jedi but it wouldn't be that easy. To ensure they were given proper Jedi training they would have to be separated from Anakin and Padme and had their family tree hidden. Having everyone know they were Anakin's kids would either 1. Put immense pressure on them having to live up to the Skywalker name 2. Make other younglings jealous and potentially lead them down the dark path due to knowing how special Luke and Leia were. Anakin was actually something of a recluse in the temple for these reasons. I feel Anakin wouldn't want them to be Jedi. He might leave the order and give them some personal training but even with his mother around he would still see how flawed the order was and not want his children to go through what he did.
if she got freed then one things for sure there would be no Vader with his pride and ego he would either go on to be one of the best Jedi if he could control them or worst Sith leading in a age of their rule.
That’s the thing about what ifs they have a million different possibilities that could happen but we are looking at the one possibility or ‘what if’, that shmi lived through it all and how that would impact anakin and the universe.
Here an idea. They are Jedi. They could have just taken her with them. What would they do anyway? Complain the Jedi "stole a slave". So a little bad PR. But not must anyone can really do about it. How was the Jedi suppose to know she was a slave. As far as the Jedi knew, slavey is outlaw. Right. (Playing dump.) The real reason they left her, was she as the boy's mother. And the Jedi separates child from their parents. It was in the best interested of the Jedi to leave the mother trap in slavey when they have the power and the means to free her.
Or rather...why did the Jedi leave his mother to rot on that god forsaken desert planet. It never crossed their minds to get the younglings mother away from the slavers? As Captain Picard says on that College Humor vid....."Star Wars is philosophy for children"

Ok, this is a major plot hole. Why didn't Padme, who is rich rich rich rich, decide, after TPM to travel back to Tatooine and save the mother of the boy who helped save her world? The woman who took them in during the sand storm and whose son got them off the planet by risking his life podracing? The more I think about it this is a HUGE plot hole.
