What If Pigero Was Canon? Part 1 | Dragon Ball Z

The original run of Dragon Ball Z had lots of filler and lots of filler characters, however in my opinion none are cooler (heh) or more wasted as a potentially interesting character as a teenage orphan gang leader who once took in and mentored Gohan while he was training to survive the wilderness: Pigero. We've once looked at what could happen if ALL of Z's filler were made canon and even gave Pigero some of his due then, but what exactly would happen if we brought him into the main story and spent a little more time focusing on what this human version of Piccolo jr could bring to the table? That is what I intend to find out!

@@redzedz4737 not to sound elitist but this is such a new age db take, like old school Yamcha used to be one of the coolest and most effective Z-fighters and even when he gets shit on in modern stuff he's still always willing to stand up with his friends and fight lol and he is definitely stronger than most normal people in the series, if he wanted to he could just instantly dethrone Mr. Satan and live the easy life Buu would probably fall asleep before he could even stop him lmaooo

Yes! Pigero, let's go! 🎉 Huh, interesting change with him been 12 and closer to Gohan's age, but it makes the dynamic duo of Gohan and Pigero all the more better. 👍 Oh nice, because of Pigero's influence, Gohan has better control on his Rage and all the Z-Fighters train together once a week. An idea, maybe the Son Family adopts Pigero. Finally they Saiyan will be in for a harder fight, then canon, that's for sure. 👍 Anyways another really good start to this new series, and looking forward to the next part soon.

I'm glad you enjoyed! I don't think it'll take too long to hit it, but worst comes to worse we'll just start uploading the series weekly once its finished for members and patrons, I'm expecting like 15 - 16 parts in total and I'm currently working on Part 4

Very interesting video, I like how you handled Pigero and how much influence you had him have so far, looking forward to the next part. I hope maybe you can justify the characters getting Kaioken somehow so they can keep up with Super Saiyans, maybe with more of the Human Z-Fighters seeing it or something? Honestly it's good to watch a what if that everyone else hasn't done and most probably wouldn't even think of. And to top it off, the story had a nice consistency and flow. I am eager to see the next part hopefully soon.

I always think that dragon ball needed more humans that could use ki, a what if where more of Shen and Roshi's fellow students under Mutaiito survived piccolo and went on to train more students on the same level of krillin and tien

It’s been a while since I’ve watched a PUM what-if. I skipped at first because I had no idea who Pigero is, but I’m glad I watched it. I always love seeing human representation in Dragon Ball stories. I hope we get to see more in the near future.

@SeatonTube 2000 2.0 The adult Z's were first to go. Yamcha got whacked by a Saibaman, the others by just Nappa. Sadly, the most everyone would do is by more time until Goku showed up. But in fairness, Pigero would be the strongest of the kids even after training with Piccolo.

Thats his initial but based off how ineffective Piccolo at 3500 and Krillin at 1770 were working together and Goku feeling a need to use a Kaioken at a pl of over 8000 to catch up to him before he attacked Gohan and Krillin its safe to assume he was anywhere from 5k-7.5k when he really got going

In a sea of ssj6 and such what ifs I love ones that give humans some shine. Sad this likely wont continue since didn't hit the like goal. I hope you reconsider though since this is a newer char to some, as pointed out. On aside, given that Pigero is the Only Z-fighter pushing for team tactics and working together, they'll likely all be many times stronger then their canon counter parts. More people learning Kaioken for example. I used to think humans had a slow growth rate but a vid called 'how strong could earthlings be if they tried' changed my mind. The truth is, post King Kai their training sucks. They don't really take advantage of everything before them. Even Tien doesn't bother with stuff like the chamber or gravity training. He's like the guy that always goes to the gym doing the same weights he got used to and wonders why his gains are small or non existent.

Pigero getting a power level of 275 is a bit of a stretch, especially with it being before he trains with Piccolo. Besides that, I enjoyed the video, although I'm not really sure how drastic of a change one extra human Z fighter will make.

Well Gohan's potential + his own potential seemingly being far greater than most humans + him working as hard as he did make it pretty doable. Roshi, Goku, and Tenshinhan were able to get into the 180s without really even being able to understand or sense ki so even if it is a tiny bit of a highball its in recognition of those factors not just a "me think cool guy should be stronk" no matter how you cut it 180 would be the baseline and the highball would therefore be 360 so I was honestly fairly modest

Namek 1yr = 130 earth days Reference : namek dragon balls were used thrice in one year when nameks were on earth..... So namekians also grow at the same rate that's the reason piccolo was not 3 in first tenkaichi he was about 9 and after 5 yrs of time skip he was about 24 namekian yrs that is 8 earth years or so ... Technically he is 8 but actually he is 24 at start of z

Piccolo Jr. Technically isn't from Namek and he, Kami, and Daimaou didn't even remeber it or its timeframe so not even they would use it to determine their ages. Also fairly sure Piccolo's age was refrenced fairly recently and based off the number stated he's still using earth's time frame or else the number would have been nearly 3x bigger lol even if its on a technicality he doesn't seem to recognize it that way

@Eric Is it weird that I wish it was the former? I don't want a girl to steal my favorite monkey's body and complain about what she has between her legs for 9 chapters. I want to see Gohan having a sibling figure with meta-knowledge who uses it to make things better. Like that Avatar fanfiction, Absolute Trust. Sure would have been nice if that stupid SI (Self-Insert) knew only the manga or abridged series and had to deal with the anime continuity.
