Indeed. Sadly, it's far too late to bring him back to the series as nobody wants him revived, and it'd be an asspull to come up with something to boost him up to everyone else's level at this point. Unless maybe he comes from another timeline where he never died and trained after all these years. Who knows?

Seems plenty do, given the amount of likes of these two videos, the likes on this comments, the people who wanted Raditz back for this second part, and all. Also, as far as "asspull"- to be frank, "asspull" is Raditz's heritage and birthright. Look at his family- his brother is Goku. He turns Super Saiyan when his best friend is killed... despite said best friend already being killed in an earlier arc (Remember? Krillin's first death waayyyy back in original Dragon Ball?) and nothing happening. His father is Bardock, who got freaky psychic powers by being stabbed in the back of the neck by a fishman, then got sent back in time by a planet exploding, became the original Legendary Super Saiyan, and in the video games even went as far as Super Saiyan 3! Honestly, given who his family is, I'd be even more willing to stretch my disbelief for Raditz than I was for a certain now-golden maniac, and I was entirely fine with that, so....
Well I didn't mean the fanbase didn't want him back, I was referring to the characters in the Dragon Ball universe. Nobody talks about him or cares ever since he died. Goku going Super Saiyan is a result of Toriyama making things up as he went, as of course it would make sense he would go SSJ as a kid. It's just that he hadn't conceived the idea of that form yet, so it's not an asspull as it didn't have an intention for the story yet. Bardock's case in an asspull to make him more relevant for MARKETTING as Masako puts it all the time. That was done intentionally to shamelessly profit out of a dead character. Also, just because an ass pull exists doesn't make it any better or well received. The fanbase is getting sick and tired of random power ups or transformations without explanation for the sake of relevancy or money. I'm just saying that if you're going to bring Raditz back there needs to be a well thought out reason canonically.

I remember there's a scenario in DBZ Tenkaichi Tag Team on PSP that's exactly that: a saibaman becomes good during the Saiyan saga and helps Gohan, and ends up dying to protected him from Nappa

I ship Raditz and Launch so hard... why? Because they are both great characters that Toriyama forgot about. May they live happily together in the place in Akira Totiyama's mind where all his forgotten characters live.

I think it'd be cool if he worked with Bulma in working on new scouters and technology of the like. He's incredibly reliant on them, it'd be cool if it turned out that Raditz was more of a technological person than a fighter. He'd be a fighter, but he'd also make incredible advances in technology for the Z fighters. What if he made scouters to compare power levels to attacks? The TOP would've been eventful if Raditz was there to help out the fighters charge up the proper power level to eliminate someone.
What If suggestions: -What If Kami never created the Dragonballs? -What If Tao´s Dodonpa killed Goku?(it changes more than you think) -What If Goku killed Gero at his attack of the Red Ribbon HQ? -What If Kami killed Piccolo at the end of his fight with Goku before he could stop him? -What If Vegeta´s BIG BANG....like attack killed all the Z-Fighters(except Yajirobi)? -What If both Future Trunks and Gohan died and Bulma traveled to the past? -What If Super Saijan 3 Goku killed Majin Buu? -And finally:the impacts of all the Xenoverse What If´s.
The first ones are boring... but i think the last ones are pretty good... there could be some plot holes or mistakes. -What If Kami never created the Dragonballs? Monkey boy turns into adult on the mountains with a power level of 10 which make almost impossible to Raditz to locate Goku later on and the Earth would be wiped out and sold to Frieza. -What If Tao´s Dodonpa killed Goku? Goku would be brought to life after the, not yet, Z fighters fight RR army collect the Dragon Balls (and I can't see how would it be more different unless the RR general decided to hire again general to get the rest of the dragon balls) -What If Goku killed Gero at his attack of the Red Ribbon HQ? After Frieza saga Goku will die from the diesase, everyone else stay alive since Gero is dead and there is no androids. It means maybe an Adult Trunks have go back in time to warn Goku about Majin Buu. Vegeta couldn't handle buu since there was no goku to rival vegeta he became much more soft and Gohan was never interested in fighting. -What If Kami killed Piccolo at the end of his fight with Goku before he could stop him? Earth would be wiped out and be sold to Frieza. -What If Vegeta´s BIG BANG....like attack killed all the Z-Fighters(except Yajirobi)? Fuck Yajirobi! It wouldn't kill Goku nor Yamcha since they were going to Goku's house. Since it killed some Z fighters it would also kill both Android 19 and Dr Gero which means no android 17 and 18 would awake. The first time Cell appears he would be already in his perfect form... it's easy to consume 2 sleeping androids. This version of perfect cell would be a little weaker than canon perfect cell since he didn't have to consume lots of humans in order to fight androids. Now... I've two interesting theories... or Cell kills all humans and the rest of the Z fighters and Cell have a one-on-one with majin buu later or he proceads with Cell games which make Goku, Vegeta and Trunks (trunks arrives after the big bang genocide) train together in time chamber. (Gohan was killed by vegeta). With this training the trio would be stronger than they were on canon storyline and since cell was weaker they would manage to beat him, go to Namek and bring back the others. In majin buu saga Goku went to the other world anyway despite being alive, to train. (the same way he does now). He achieves Super Sayian 3 and kills fat majin buu. Vegeta never sacrificied himself. -If bulma travelled to the past instead of Trunks.... she would try to bang bang present Vegeta xD... everything would be almost the same... the differences are that is Goku who kills frieza on earth; Goku, Vegeta and Gohan would train together on time Chamber and Gohan would kill cell easier because he would be stronger. -If ssj 3 goku killed majin buu than Vegeta and Goku would be dead after this arc..this could lead for an interesting DB Super where the main characters would be Gohan, Goten and Trunks... Since both Goku and Vegeta were dead Gohan was more into fighting to defend the earth and this trio would train together. Even though Goku killed Buu he teaches fusion to the little ones just in case... Gohan would go mystic anyway. This would lead to an Gohan and Gotenks vs Beerus. Since Gohan was training hard he would be stronger than Goku was on the beggining of super (yea we all know at the end of Z Gohan is the stronger character) and he could hold much better beerus than Goku did using SSJ 3. and maybe almost as good or even better as god super saiyan Goku did. Leading him to train with Beerus and Whis and bring both goten and trunks to train as well. Gohan would manage to get an yet unknown ultimate god transformation far more stronger than canon goku right now. Future trunks come to the present and guess what....... GOHAN BLACK... (OMGGGG!!!!!!!!!). -I don't want to talk about xenoverse ... sry
With the Big Bang...like attack I meant the explosion Vegeta caused after surviving the Spirit Bomb in the Saiyan Saga just before he saw that Gohan grew his tail back.(Yajirobi was hiding during this)
Listening to all these DB What-Ifs while playing Xenoverse 2 on Switch in 2019. Yup, full-on nerding out with Dragon Ball alternate timelines here. Good Raditz, Good Nappa, Gine on Earth, Female Goku, Goku marrying Bulma... Real fun listening material. :D
Le Chain Yeah when toriama revived frieza then he can revive bardock, raditz, nappa and everyone who was been killed! Dragon ball super is shit so why dont make it more stupid?
No Vegeta still lost his tail to Yajirobe and Freeza obviously knows to cut off Raditz's tail and I am pretty sure that even with Raditz being 10 x stronger Freeza could still easily beat him after all Freeza only had to use 2% of his power to supress both Vegeta and Raditz and considering only Raditz can transform Freeza would at best only need 11% - 12% of his power at most their only advantage is that Freeza is still only playing.
I know I'm thinking way further down the line, but wouldn't he participate in the God ritual instead of Pan? Also it would be cool to see Tarble and Raditz to interact
Raditz has always been my favorite saiyan and iv'e been waiting for him to come back in Z and super but as much as I know it will never happen i'll keep hoping, To me this "What If" is just another timeline in universe 7.
MasakoX we need an official alternate timeline/events manga focused on ideas like what you've been going over so far! Maybe have them included in the Dragonball Room?
Cell is quite smart, but not very knowledgeable (other than the literal database he have over the U7 fighters), and not entirely sure he would be able to spot bullshit as well as roshi. But his power would be quite useful as hell, and replacing someone weaker by him would yield positive results. But let's say, probably its better to replace tien by cell instead of roshi.
I like this train of thought! Please do more. I know this might mean that Trunks doesn't "exist" in this timeline, but at this point Radits is sounding like such a fun character that I hope there is an actual spin-off series dedicated to this idea!

Well... if Yamcha manages to keep his relationship with Bulma in this alernate timeline. I doubt there will be a Future Trunks. So no one to warn them about the Andrroids, no heart medicine for Goku, thus Goku dying. So yes, I am quite curious to see what you come up with in part 3
Hecthor Doomhammer No future trunks, but we will still have SS vegeta and Goku, with the inclusion of SS Raditz (or close to the brink, like Gohan was). all the Z-fighters would be much stronger from training together, and Vegeta might be more receptive to training with Raditz than going off by himself the whole time, especially if he doesn't die by Frieza (say Piccolo or Raditz helped deflect the death beam.) Goku has everyone escape while he soloes Frieza and finishes the arc like normal, then Mecha Frieza shows up on Earth two years later like in the original. This time he gets defeated like the "original timeline" we never saw, once again with a more powerful Raditz helping, and the android Saga starts three years later. the saiyan nature of Goku and Raditz would have made them train to a similar degree naturally, even if they were unaware of the oncoming threat. I imagine they'd be at the same power and could take on 19 and 20. Goku dies from his disease, 6 months later the androids show up, and similar events to the anime play out, just replace Goku with Raditz. In my opinion, this alternate timeline would put him on par with Canon Goku, maybe slightly weaker. The real problem is when Cell shows up and the cast doesn't have instant transmission. It'd be harder to save the Z-fighters from Cell, but they would have an extra person to slow him down. Cell can't kill Goku, but his son and brother are good enough replacements for his time. 1 week for the Cell Games like usual. Piccolo and Gohan do the training in the time chamber together, Raditz joins Vegeta, maybe they go back in and switch up. Cell games happen like before, except instead of Goku going first, it's Vegeta. Raditz gets injured in the tournament, Android 16 dies, Gohan kicks Cell's ass as ssj2, etc. Only problem is when Cell decides to blow himself up, nobody can teleport him away. son goku either Deus Ex Machinas from the after life (think Bojack movie, he could do it), or the fighters all die and that's the end of it. Sucks.
Nobblk Praetorian crap, you're right. so it's just the androids until 17 years later when Cell shows up. if Vegeta and the rest of the gang can find a way to avoid dying, Kami and Piccolo fuse, Raditz and Gohan go SSJ, then 17 & 18 are nothing. Heck, they just need to keep them busy for a few days to use the time chamber and vastly overpower them. Raditz as an uncle would stay around, and Gohan might turn out very differently. With a Saiyan parental figure in his life, he might not have turned out so nerdy. Unless Chichi somehow settles down with him, I imagine he'd be taking Gohan on plenty of training trips like Goku would. There would be no Goten (unless it's Raditz son named in honor of his brother) and Trunks would be Yamcha's kid (unless Vegeta somehow managed to steal Bulma from him like he did canonically, which is likely to happen.) So the show would be very different in many ways from this point for the main cast until Babidi shows up. Goku shows up for the Tenkaichi, fights his saiyan family, Buu happens like before. I'm not too sure about Majin Vegeta (or even a Majin Raditz!), because that depends on if they settled down or not. let's say He did for convenience and bringing the Canon elements of Bulma breaking up with a womanizing Yamcha. Even if that possession happened, when Buu is released, they go to fight him. If Trunks was his kid and Majin Vegeta happened, the arc plays out as before until Goku has to leave. Old Kai trains Gohan in other world, Raditz is on Earth training with Piccolo and the kids in the time chamber, until Buu shows up and kills everyone like before. the rest of the Saga is exactly the same (Old Kai brings Goku to life, Yenma lets Vegeta come back, etc.) Only difference is Raditz is dead again. The fight in other world happens, everyone is wished back by the Namekian balls, Super Spirit Bomb, and Kid Buu is killed. the only primary differences at this point between canon is that Future Trunks never needed to time travel and save Goku as the androids were stopped by Vegeta and Raditz. His presence would be there for Beerus, he'd go SSJGod with the other Saiyans, Zamasu would've been beaten, then we'd end up at the Universal Tournament with three full Saiyans and plus Gohan. Did I miss anything this time? I probably did.

Well unless he goes the same route that he has done for the Android saga in all his previous what if's. Future Trunks Timeline followed the same route it did in the cannon. Just imagine Future Trunks showing up only to realize that his Mother and Father were not together in the slightest, could make for an interesting turn of events.

I'm pretty sure that he would be honoured. Somebody even made a manga about his creation Patta, and he was very supportive. Just draw, express yourself, and you will be great artist! Practice makes perfection!
My thought process is that if Raditz stayed alive, he'd be the Rival to Piccolo. In power and in Gohan's affections. On a side note, Nappa would peak at around Android 17. He'd get stronger, but not by a lot. He's supposedly in his 50's-60's in the saiyan saga after all.
I'm honestly happy to see more about this. It'll be great to see the next part when it comes out. Being he was one of the shortest lived yet impacting characters, i think he well deserved this.
People chat so much shit about Raditz but does anyone realise that if Raditz hadn't visited Earth then the whole Dragon Ball Z series wouldn't have happened

I was about to say that it would be more or less the same but quicker & more violent with a bit less talking, but since Frieza couldn't fight and lose to Goku, im not so sure....
I actually don't think it would be the same since cooler isn't quite as full of himself as his brother and also somewhat stronger, which means chances are he'd kill the whole bunch before goku can go SSJ. Also, even if goku went SSJ I'm not super sure he'd be able to beat cooler unless he doesn't let him transform into his final form, which is unlikely however due to his saiyan pride.
I wish someone made a manga of this theory. Ever since I first saw Raditz, I always wondered when they would bring him back. We're up to super and still no Uncle Raditz.
I really want Raditz to come back one day canonically. It'd be awesome if Goku had to brimg him back for the Tournament of Power and find a way for him to get strong enough

He probably would have spent his time helping his mother out with inventions and training with Vegeta. There's no doubt that Trunks would have ascended WAY beyond Gohan in the Buu saga had he stayed around. Gohan's education still makes him slack off his training, plus Trunks has constant access to the gravity room. Trunks and Gohan probably would have fused to beat Buu with no trouble at all. I can't imagine how powerful Ultimate Truhan would be.
What if the main time line's Cell was left alone and showed up as he was planned to 17 years in the future? He would get DNA from DBZ characters that showed up after his arc in DBZ like Shin, Kibito, Dabura, and Buu. Also DB Super characters like Whis and Beerus for example. I want to know how much of a threat he'd be. I can't imagine how strong he'd be if he attained his perfect form after all that.
This is crazy. On the biggest DB Forum in the world, DBZF - not Kanzenshuu (we are bigger in terms of posts/members and no it's not a shitposting site, I've been on it for 12 years now) - we have a DBRP going... it started a month or two before your first part 1 w/ Raditz and so far, it's very eerie how close our DBRP Raditz is to this hypothetical Raditz. We have him essentially stranded on Earth after he came looking for Goku (who, in our RP, died along with Piccolo in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai) and found himself stuck after his scouter/pod were destroyed in combat. He was forced to be domesticated, basically, after killing off some of our characters. I swear, are you a guest browsing our forum?! Haha. For real though, this is great. We look forward to each new part of your series in this 'what if'! Sorry for the plug about my forum guys, btw, just wanted to comment on this. I've been one of the leaders there over half of my life now and we never get any acknowledgement! If only we had our own Herms. Wait, Piccolo is dead along with Goku before Raditz even shows up? Then how is this even close to being similar? Raditz would still be evil and kill people, he would just be waiting for Vegeta and Nappa to come pick him up at this point after figuring out that Gokus dead. Meaning no one figures out about the dragon balls, Frieza is still around, the androids and cell never happens and Buu is eventually made and destroys everything.
It's definitely something you'd have to see to understand. In much the same way Vegeta and Nappa write off Raditz in this series of what if, Raditz is stranded and abandoned. Except here, Nappa and Vegeta outright don't bother to pick up Raditz as they figure he's bit the bullet. In order to move the plot forward, we had Freeza scout out Planet Namek, planning on prepping it for sale, and then his scouts report on these "wish orbs' that they carry.
I'm a little behind, and will spend the next couple of days catching up, however so far, i like this story, and have seen a few like it. I really do enjoy your what if's and i was put onto your videos thanks to Salad Saiyan and Plus Ultra Man! I look forward to watching all your DBZ content, and thanks for ALL your hard work!!
Abridged Moment: Frieza: "Who are..." Goku: "Hey guys, how's it going? Raditz? How did you get here?" Raditz: "Uh... dragonballs I think. Kakarot, I know I went to hell and back but are you strong than before?"
Raditz certainly can keep contributing. For one thing, if the trio of Saiyans can have a much needed chat, there'll be more history for them to share and a bit more reason for them to play catch up with one another as the pursuit of power is something they'd all share in varying degrees anyway aside from maybe having an idea to find more surviving Saiyans(even if it's just Tarble at the moment) with a little more optimism if it comes up, than pretend their race isn't on the border of extinction forever.
I could actually see all three trying to compete for Bulma's love. Though since Yamcha and Bulma reconnected again durring Namek, I can see him ultimately winning out over the other two. though I may revive a character long forgotten by Toriama. Launch hooks up with either Raditz, or Vegeta. It is a what if scenario isn't it? That's the whole basis on most fanfiction anyway so why not go full force?
