I honestly believe its jump shueishia being anal with the IP not letting them do this with manga/anime or could be toriyama just want to work on other stuff (definitely be wrong tho) Dbz pumps out a lot of games so of course their able to do what ifs during that ps2 era. supersonic warriors 1 & 2, raging blast 1, db heroes and budokai 1 had a lot of what ifs as well. There are others but cant think on top of my head
Justin Cook, the voice of Radditz, did an amazing job as playing him in this what if scenario,he doesn't get enough credit, he also provided the voices of Super Buu & Cell Jr.
Black Clover's english dub is awesome because Christopher Sabat plays Yami and Justin Cook plays Jack the Ripper, so any time their rivalry is on screen, it's like listening to Raditz and a toned-down Vegeta go head-to-head
That's right; Piccolo; he ended being part of the team. But even if Raditz failed his sacrifice they won't be powerful enough to defeat Vegeta and Nappa. Goku didn't die and neither learned the spirit bomb ... No. The future is a mystery but at least Raditz sacrifice wasn't in vain.

Raditz basically killing himself by crashing into Nappa and Vegeta’s space pods to spare them from highly possible death is honestly sad. Too bad though that because events didn’t play out originally, Goku not having his multiple power boosts of Zenkai and Kaioken before fightingFrieza and Vegeta being out of the picture basically doomed them all.
I just realized something,depending on if Frieza heard Nappa And vegeta talk about the Dragon balls or not vefore the Collision they may have become immortal in this what if, The Z-Fighters had no deaths so no reason to go themselfs and as a result kill Frieza
Wihtout the sayians. they would never go to namek anyway. since Piccolo is alive and so are the dragonballs. But otherwise. youre still correct. They are doomed O_o
A Raditz redemption may actually be one of my most desired plotlines. idk how you'd ever do it today admittedly, maybe if we ever get into Otherworld stuff again, but Raditz is so full of potential.

The problem with both nappa and raditz was that even in death they were more Frieza soilders than they were saiyan warriors, too wicked and loved destruction, vegeta was the strongest and worst of the 3 . Raditz dosen't train and purposely fights weaker opponents and much like cui , zarbon and dodoria would say anything to get out of being killed . Nappa was a mad dog who knew no limits, to a lesser extent even vegeta wouldn't stand for being killed by krillin With yajarobi sword. Edit * he even cried when facing his own Death by the hands of frieza .
@@edfreak9001 Back when the dragonball super: super hero leaks came out there was a fake image of raditz and people thought that The red ribbon army took his corpses and did to him what they did with 17 & 18.... that would make a interesting plot. Vegeta destroyed any remnants of nappa while raditz body was still there ( most likely decaying or eaten by animals) Or pull a jairaiya / kashin koji of boruto , a genetically modified / augmented clone of raditz like a super soilder. He definitely had potential.
The saddest or best part about this depending on how you look at this, Raditz wouldn't go to hell. He did turn good so instead he'd either be reunited with his mother Gine or be the rare few that get's to keep his body after death.
It would be lovely to see actual "what if" scenarios playing out, instead of either a time travel fix fanfic that revolves around OCs doing time travel fix fanfic OC stuff, or yet another dbz retelling.
I'd love for the entire game to be nothing but a What If scenario, with the player as an original character starting and growing up back in Dragonball that determines what happens.
@@subx353 Yeah. The closest thing we got to that was Xenoverse 1 and 2 but that was really just a thinly veiled retelling of the same old DBZ story plus Super.

Older DB games were way more creative than Xenoverse 2. But since Xenoverse 3 is in development, I hope they do What If stuff like this for Xenoverse 3. It'd be very interesting.

I mean like exploring old games, new ones, ones like Super DragonBall Heroes, adding new designs and characters to the rosters etc. Instead of being lazy and trying to pump out DLCs like it's GTA V so they can keep the game alive and popular.

They had a year to train, also Goku could have asked Kami for more training but since he wouldn't have anything else to teach him, the idea to go to train with King kai would had been brought up. And with the help of the dragon ball or just Kami's divine privilieges he could have traveled to the other word. Raditz sacrifice was pointless

This is so sad. I remember playing this as a young kid & living it! I really wish they’d brought Raditz back & redeemed him. It would have been good to see him w/ his brother & start a family of his own.

I feel like this should be a real plot point atleast bring the fcker back in Dragon Ball Z, Raditz while twisted and evil from growing up with Vegeta, he did care about Goku's wellbeing enough to reason with him

@@Ashelybee Especially since Nappa was came up with using humans to revive the Sayian race before Vegeta shot down the idea in the Japanese dub. He easily could learn to be chill and he wanted to bring back Raditz and avenge his death.
It's a really nice twist that Raditz was convinced not because of moral goodness, but out of realizing Goku was a truer Saiyan than he ever knew because his strength came from pushing himself for the sake of others. No more of that stubborn propoganda in his mind from Stubborn Saiyans like Vegeta.
This What If was lit man and honestly makes me sad they probably wont ever flesh this out in newer dragon ball games or make a dbz spin off anime exploring this.
If Raditz were to have been around during the Frieza saga, he would've had a change of heart and could've lend a helping hand. Bardock was his father too and he died trying to stop Frieza. After the Frieza saga, Raditz probably wouldn't mind staying on earth and starting a new life for himself. Plus him and Launch could get into some mischief and could've started a family.

Imagine Raditz making a come back in Dragon Ball Super and probably maybe does turn good and Goku forgives him for all that time they have fought each other! And also Gohan and Piccolo and even Krillen would have to forgive him and then Raditz does a lot of training with Goku and he learns how to be a Super Saiyan and then later on more transformations come to him like maybe he could even learn Kaioken and Super Saiyan 2 and the other Super Saiyan transformations!
Huh, so while I played Tenkaichi 2, I really don't remember much about it, 3 takes over most of the memories. But one thing I've noticed, 2 has the ability to have more than 2 characters on screen at once, how the hell do they lose that in the next game?
What I would have loved was for the final battle in this What If Line that you play as Raditz, and only for that 1 battle and no other modes, he is allowed to use the Kamehameha which he learns while training with Goku.

It seems that Weakling is a trigger word for Raditz that he remembers, likely because he was a lower class Saiyan, much weaker than Nappa or Vegeta, and part of his confidence and condescending manner was that he felt strong on Earth and stronger than his brother. He must have been called that by Vegeta or other Saiyans.
I would love a real art where Goku brings back his old relatives because Cici made sense so go Han can learn where he came from but then be friends them
I loved the what if scenario's also Budokai Tenkaichi 2was such an improvement to its predecessor (budokai tenkaichi was the only budokai game where you couldnt transform ingame, you had to pick a stage like base or super saiyan and that was your form during the entire match)
The fact almost every person you fought was a higher level than raditz by a lot Like raditz started at like 48 and ended at 63 Kid gogan was 85 and still only had two health bars Wtf is this scsling
i haven't played tenkaichi 2 in 17 years, but seeing this gameplay shows it's still a solid game so much that bt3 incorporated the majority of the fighting mechanics. I feel the only reason that bt3 was better was because of the extended roster of characters. I love the tenkaichi series because each game surpassed it's predecessor. Let's all hope with the announcement of tenkaichi 4 that we get an unbelievable game that does this series proud
You need to speak namekian in order to use the namekian dragon balls. If none of the namekians ever tell him this like they don't in the original story, Freeza is fucked.
Nah Freiza only went to Namek because he overheard Vegeta and Nappa talking about it on their scouters. If Vegeta and Nappa never go to Earth then Freiza would never go to Namek.
@@milesedgeworth3667 not true. If Freiza heard it that early on he would've gone to Namek far sooner than he did in canon. It took Vegeta and Nappa a year to get to Earth but it only took Vegeta a few days to get to Namek from one of Freiza's outposts. Freiza would've gone to Namek while Vegeta and Nappa were travelling to Earth if he heard it that early on, the whole freiza saga would've taken place before the Saiyan Saga but without Vegeta or the Z Fighters present. He heard Nappa and Vegeta talk about it while they were being told that the dragon balls were stone after they killed Piccolo.
I can't believe that ending, I remember only bits, there were so much DBZ games back then. My favorite ones are the what ifs in DBZ Supersonic Warriors.
Good ending:raditz helps goku to defeat vegeta and nappa and he survives Bad ending:raditz defeat everyone and also kills vegeta and nappa Neutral ending:raditz leaves the earth being sad Best ending:raditz and goku defeat vegeta and nappa and both also learn the kaio-ken and the spirit bomb
I remember when I first got this in story mode way back and never saw it again cuz I had no memory card back then on ps2. it was really bizarre but interesting because dragon ball was over but even a tiny change like this can actually change the story by alot lol
Wow finally a bt2 story mode mission, freaking power point presentation bt3 seem to forget how many rpg mechanics, open world, animated cutscenes and other stuff there was in this game.
