This was pretty good, Ronin. My only thing against it, is Surge agreeing to the battle on the St Anne, as a gym battle, and not using it get one over on Ash like the boy was doing to him. Basically, being caught in the eyes of the crowd, just agree to a Pokemon Battle with Ash, without saying it is a gym battle. Much like Ash vs Fantina in Sinnoh. That way, Ash would readily agree to the it, not catching onto the fact he's about to have just a regular battle with Surge and not a gym battle. So, when Ash won, he wouldn't get the badge, due to it being a Pokemon battle. I think it would have played well into helping Surge understand Ash's stretagy better, and when they meet later for a 3rd and final match, it would be a official gym battle. Both would have gotten stronger, and both would put everything into, not underestimating the other like before. But that's just what I am seeing, taking in how you have been portraying Ash so far, it felt like he should be forced to wait longer, and not get his way. Even if Surge is a quasi villain, and needed to be taken down. Keep up the great work, Ronin. 👍🏿👍🏿
Now end it with mega kick! Zap comes crashing down. It’s foot slamming into the other Pikachu‘s chest with that surge his second Pokémon is the knocked out. Zap return blaze it’s up to you the two Poké balls open reviewing a Raichu and a Charmander. Raichu reacts almost instantly sending a thunderbolt towards the fire type. Blaze doesn’t blink, instead of running straight into the thunderbolt, slamming its fist, and pushing through the thunderbolt to land, mega punch on the electric types head sending the Pokémon flying Charmander, then races forward, shooting of ember into the stomach of the Pokémon. Lieutenant surge pauses for a moment, noting that this Charmander is already stronger than most Charmeleon. Both trainers know that this battle is already over so with that Lieutenant surge tosses a badge to the trainer.
Good for Ash getting that badge. I hope James keeps Gyarados this time so he’ll be something of a threat. Why is Jessie so angry ball the time and irritable? It’s like she’s been PMSing the whole time.
From what I understand, she's got much more of an ego in this version. And since she doesn't know James or meowth that well, she gets mad fast at James' blundering and Meowth being the high and mighty prick he is over being the "commander" gets on her nerves. Heck, James seems to just be stuck in the middle as he doesn't get on Meowth's nerves that bad, besides his mistakes, but Jesse actively berates him for everything. Tl;dr, they have NO cooperation and everything goes to hell because of that.
Oh wow, Goh was reintroduced here I wasn't expecting that, but it's nice seen him again. So James has Koffing, Spearow, and Magikarp, his team is looking pretty neat Jessie needs to up her team next. 👍 Nice Ash got his badge from his rematch with Lt. Surge and using the same strategy like in canon. 🙂 Hm? I'm curious on hearing the history between Lt. Surge and this Zapdos. 🤔 Anyways another really good part, and looking forward to the next part soon.
