What rubbish. The USSR failed and no nuclear bombs had been dropped. The US(and our allies) precipitated that. Had the US made mistakes? Sure. But we were not villains and we have helped to make the world a better place.
We lost credibility in Ukraine when the promise to protect Ukraine if they gave up their nuclear arsenal was reneged upon. Supplying arms has done little to help other than to offload a bunch of weapons that would have been decommissioned anyway. A lot of people complain about the cost of these tanks and munitions being sent there, yet these are almost entirely weapons systems that were either already decommissioned or due to be. People have talked about giving Ukraine the F-16 which is now taking place, but the model they’re receiving is the F-16A from countries that were already replacing those aircraft. It has cost nothing to give them to Ukraine for usage as they no longer have to find a way to decommission and scrap them. By not following through with the promise made when forcing the nuclear weapons decommissioning, we failed Ukraine in 2014 and fail them again now Russia have returned for more. The idea of “remove the WMD’s and we will protect you” is no longer credible anywhere in the world. It will leave countries like Taiwan very nervous about how much they can trust military support in the event of a conflict with the PRC, knowing that it would depend not on promises made, but on the whims of a president at the time. For those fearing a nuclear response from Russia in this war if NATO joined the fight, they seem to be missing the point that, in the mindset of Russian leadership and according to their speeches, they are already at war with NATO right now. There are several people in the duma who have been calling for the use of tactical nuclear weapons already, whilst claiming the Russian lines are holding firm against NATO in Ukraine. The reality is, in a war of attrition the Russians will win. They just have more numbers to throw at the conflict and if they’re defending rather than attacking, they can’t lose. In attack the loss rate for them is above 5:1, but that’s the ballpark figure. The minute they’re defending lines that are heavily dug in, the ratio falls in their favour as Ukraine needs to find ways to break the defensive lines. There simply is not the numbers to take advantage of gaps in the Russian lines. I tried to warn friends in Dnipro when the invasion began that this will not be a short war and would continue for several years and everyone I mentioned it to told me that was impossible. I wish I had been wrong, but this is a huge stalemate that will take many more lives before settlements are finally forced.
Russia will eventually claim everything up to the Dnipro river because it is a natural barrier and Russia has the time with temperament especially for a borderlands conflict that westerners just don’t get. You are the only person that I have encountered that has ever mentioned the Dnipro besides me

@@bromosome8049 Ask yourself: What if Russia funded Nazi militias in Canada, started a civil war, installed a puppet regime, and established a proxy regime on the US border? Then Canada would bomb civilians, kidnap and torture tens of thousands of children, manufacture pathogens, stockpile weapons, and build a military. This is exactly what the US did to Ukraine. By the way, Russia already won the war on Nazi Ukraine.

I think this guy and me disagree over what ALL IN means. If France or Poland alone would go "all in", Ukraine would be free in 2 Weeks.. If big boy USA goes all in, Russia is a parking lot by the end of the week
Hardly. Much of the west has been emptied of munitions. Even Britain admitted it had enough ammo for only about 24 hours of a serious war. The US had greatly depleted its stock of certain types of howitzer rounds to dangerously low levels. And that's just what they are willing to admit.
