WHAT IF? SONIC AND TAILS NEVER MET? Part 3 | What if Sonic 

With how this Tails acts, sounds, and is dressed, I can't help but compare him to Snivelly, but much more competent and actually having bite to go with the bark.

Why do I get the feeling Miles is going to pull a coup d'eat and seize the Eggman Empire, especially considering Miles disabled his bomb, but be more successful than Starline?

Miles seems to be putting a lot of targets on his back. Big bosses obviously don’t like him, and after realizing that he is essentially hacked all of their enhancements, something tells me they’d be eager to get him out of the picture before he decides to take them all out. Also, this is merely a hypothesis, but something tells me someone like Metal Sonic wouldn’t be thrilled with Miles taking his place as the right hand of Eggman. If Metal’s few interactions with Starline in the IDW comics are anything to go by, Metal Sonic would probably throw out the two tailed menace at the first opportunity the doctor presented him. (Also the fact Miles chose to upgraded Silver Sonic rather than Metal probably won’t help his case either. Since that essentially leaves Metal Sonic as a static display.) Honestly at the moment it seems like the only person in the empire on Miles’ Side is Eggman (and any robots he could potentially hack.)

Tail's kind of reminds me of Dr. Starline, both being brilliant scientists & fascinated in Eggman's work, though albeit Starline being much more obsessed, & Tail's probably being a bit more competent. It would be cool to see what their relationship would be if he does make an appearance. :D

I do wonder if tails might try to construct his own metal sonic....after all if eggman couldnt do it maybe he could

I love Tails, and this little What if story is really interesting. I can't wait to see Part 4, as well as how the events of Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic Heroes will play out. Also, imagine if this universe made a cameo in Sonic Prime. That would be pretty cool.

I'm looking forward to the exploits of miles and his genius, perhaps he will be the one to create the tails doll to spy on sonic heroes and gather bio data to upgrade metal sonic into a more obedient Neo Metal?

Silver Sonic marc 2 is actually Mecha Sonic marc 3. Buuuuut to do some retconning, Silver Sonic is a code name for the original. Mecha Sonic marc 2 lost that code name. (And for the fun of it, it has the code name Turbo to reference SMBZ) When Eggman got to Marc 3, he wanted to go to something that more resembled what the original was going for with its design. That included making it’s code name Silver Sonic marc 2.

It's only a matter of time before Miles betrays Eggman when he doesn't see him as fit.
