What If The Carolina Panthers Draft All Offense? | Panthers Mock Draft 2024

The Carolina Panthers will be overhauling their offense after an abysmal 2023 season. Everything this offseason has felt like it's revolved around making sure Bryce Young is successful. With the draft approaching, we expect the Dave Canales and Dan Morgan to add weapons. But what would happen if they went ALL offense in the draft?
In my latest mock we explore what that scenario would look like.

The Panthers have never been known as an offensive team, so I would love to really run it up on other teams during games. That would surprise the league 💪🏽

I really like the Zach Frazier pick and Legette, but I would go Ben Sinnott. Instead of drafting Brooks if there’s a promising LT that needs a year of development in case Icky doesn’t workout draft him then a RB in the later rounds. That last RB video you did one to add as another sleeper is RB Jawhar Jordan shawty 🔥

They better go BPA (Best player available). You're right CB/Edge and I'll add linebacker is our most needed positions. I want DEF but if a WR/OL/TE is the BPA I'll be fine with taking him.

I love the Jared Wiley pick. Numbers won't show it but I believe he is the top tight end in this draft. Reminds me of Travis Kelce. I watched him at TCU they don't use TEs much but when they did he was amazing. Please draft him early.

Hey Aaron... Interesting concept, drafting all offense. While that won't happen it is fun to speculate. Love the trade down and really like your first two pics... but with the third pick I am taking Ben Sinnott TE, K-State. Move Brooks to 82, drop Wiley and add WR Johnny Wilson from Florida State. You might even pick him with 101 and move Jermaine Burton to 141. Adding three WRs seems nutty but hey this is an all offensive draft!

I think double dipping at receiver makes sense. I truly think the staff will choose Mcconkey at 31 if he is there, and then appease young and get Leggette at 39. I think Legette is not fit for what we are doing offensively, but whatever gotta keep Bryce happy.

My hope is that the Panthers pick the best value players, not specifically positions in need per say. HOWEVER, the best position to target is Right Tackle. And if the value is there I don’t trade away our 2nd round picks unless we are sure we can secure that position either way. Tyler Moton is our biggest Cap Hit (~30 Million for the next 2 seasons) and as you said Aaron, he’s AGING. Someone’s big contract has to go in the next couple seasons for big free agency signings and I think Moton is the guy to replace. It would be forward thinking for Dan Morgan to draft his replacement sooner than later as the O-Line position can take some time to develop. Furthermore, let’s say Bryce Young shows great promise the next 2 seasons AND we drafted Moton’s replacement. If the Panthers move off of Moton and don’t resign him, that’s 30 million to work with. His replacement will now be in his 3rd season (2026) costing the Panthers 2 million in cap space - a difference of 28 Million. That money could help pay off Bryce Young’s contract if they sign him a year early at a cheaper rate as he would be heading into his 4th year. And even if Bryce doesn’t prove to be the guy (which I think he will by year 3), I’m still convinced moving off of Moton is inevitable. Sure the Panthers could sign a free agent around 15 million per year to replace Moton and still save money (similar to Damien Lewis’s contract/Cap hit), but the cheapest option is very clearly the draft. Either way, I haven’t felt this optimistic about the Panthers since Tepper has taken over. I think 2024 the Panthers show they aren’t the laughing stock anymore. They might not be great, but it wont be a joke anymore. Guess we’ll see!

@dustinbarlow1623
@dustinbarlow1623 2 месяца назад
I think they go all offense too! I think if JPJ is there they run straight to the podium to get their center of the next decade, because Legette at even 39 is a reach IMO. I could see a trade down at 33, but keep in mind any receiver Young has had success with are guys like Deontay, or a Waddle who are jitterbugs. Legette struggles with initially getting separation off the snap, which means he is not going to be catching many slants, and will have to wait for him to get open, we dont have time to wait, we need a guy like Franklin or Mcconkey who get separation 2 seconds after the snap. If you need a big bodied guy, get a TE like Sinnot or WIley. Round 4 I am going Braelon Allen all the way if hes there. Dude is built like a Derrick Henry and could run through a wall.

Aye Dunc, i like what you did with your draft.... My view: With the LOT of WIDEOUTS, this year... a LATER GEM, to me... is still JAVON BAKER (with the ball in his hand, he reminds me of Tee Higgins). I'm not saying don't draft any other wideout at any other draft spot, but We can get a young Tee Higgins style Wideout with out sacrificing draft capital, just in case we're still considering Higgins. And as for running backs, I like Brooks from Texas, but that boy from Florida State, Trey Benson, is special!! (I'd take him before brooks) ... I like the Double Dip at Tight End! BUT THAT GUY, Ben Sinnot (KSU) his catching and run blocking are both upper echelon when you talk about the tight end category... hes not athletically blessed, but hes a "black belt" at the basics I have to consider him. Warmest Regards, KEEEEEP POUNDING

Ima be honest. I’m expecting a defensive player getting drafted if not with pick 33, then 39. I wouldn’t be surprised if we made both picks in the 2nd defense. Simply because of the 1st round talent that will fall to us due to the demand of QB, OL, and WR. I’d love a guy like Ricky or Corley in the 3rd. I have the hots for Payton Wilson and potentially a top 5 corner falling in the second 😂

Moving from the first pick in the second round backwards is a dumb idea just for one pick we need the best young talented wr at 33 an let’s get a corner at 39 or a te but moving back just to get a shitty player that needs development an will take 2 or three years to even be a starter if we do that I swear we need players that will impact now not 3 years from now that’s what the later picks are for rounds 1 an 2 are players that are potentially nfl ready an ready to start an make impact

So I know in this particular video you wanted to go all offensive in the draft and we all know that wouldn’t happen in real life based on the holes we have at every position BUT some of your picks I like and some I don’t mainly Xavier Legette I’ve said this on multiple occasions and many platforms that I’m TIRED of us drafting “big body” wide receivers. Johnathan Mingo, Kelvin Benjamin, Dwayne Jarrett all have FAILED why go on this path again? And before anyone says it NO to Keon Coleman too. I’m not against “big body” wide receivers but I rather sign an experienced free agent “big body” WR instead of wishing & hoping on a rookie big body WR. NO MORE OF THIS!!!! As far as draft needs I’ve said this before I’ll say it again… Pick 33 should be a WR preferably Adonai Mitchell but I’ll settle for Ladd McConkey if he’s there. If no WR I want is there I know we can trade this pick for Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk or maybe Sutton from the Broncos Pick 39 should be a CB. I know we were looking at Nate Wiggins and Caelen Carson but someone like a Max Melton I like too if he’s here. We need someone as insurance for Jaycee Horn who is a good player but always hurt. At worst he’s insurance for Horn at best he starts opposite of Horn because Dane Jackson is NOT it as our #2 CB. Pick 65 should be a Center HOWEVER if Jackson Powers Johnson is available at 33 I take him first and take the WR at 39. Other center options I want are Zack Frazier, Beaux Limmer or Van Pran Pick 101 should be a TE. The guy from Texas I like I’m not a believer in Tremble as most Panthers fans are. Other tight ends I’m high on is Ben Sinnott and Theo Johnson who as a player comp has been compared to Jimmy Graham Pick 141 should be best LB or RB available Pick 142 should be best EDGE or DT/DE available Pick 240 should be a swing at a developmental player someone like a Qwan’tez Stiggers who is a CB for the CFL. I have heard Frank Gore Jr name linked here. We can also look at a developmental SS or FS here. Other names I would like in later picks are Kris Jenkins Jr, Luke McCaffrey, & Brendan Rice who are good players and because of their NFL pedigree with relatives who have played will not be shocked by the rigors and challenges of playing in the NFL

I like all your picks and in that order as well. I just disagree on leggett. Now don't get me wrong I understand exactly how you feel about our big body WR's not having breakout years or becoming dominant. Panthers have never really been know for being great at play calling. Garrett just didn't fit the scheme and was always hurt. Kelvin Benjamin had 1k his rookie year,and was on his way to another 1k year before he got hurt; than his career went down the drain, mingo was just brung into a shitty situation; the panthers as a whole on offense was terrible. Nobody was able to show flashes; but he couldn't separate from defenders. To sum it up all the big WR's we grab wasn't seperation WR's; just go up ,and get it WR's. The difference with leggett is ; he was big body go up and catch it WR. He can also burn you deep,and out muscle u for a jump ball. He can also catch a slant ,and take it 90 yards, he always make the first the defener miss or just run through them. He is an open field nighmare. He was clocked at 23mph in the open field; fastest time in college lastyear. 40 speed is different from gametime speed. If he get the ball in stride; good luck catching him.If we can coach up Bryce,and get good play calling leggett can be lethal. I like ladd just feel like he's the same wr as theilen,or Johnson. Most teams have the big athletic wr . I can tell you know football so this is a no disrespect post. Just my opinion on leggett.

@@brooklyn_boy3323I hear everything you say about Legette and I would agree if he did this in MULTIPLE YEARS. Legette is riding on 1 yr of play that is VERY concerning to me. If we take Legette I wouldn’t like the pick but I’ll deal with it HOWEVER if he doesn’t work out that is now FOUR big body WRs we drafted who have done NOTHING at that point it’s evident that we need to STOP doing it. Yes I do agree each team needs a big body WR which is why I much prefer we TRADE for one or sign one in free agency which is why if you noticed every WR I mentioned that we trade for is a big body WR who also has years of production doing it. I feel much more comfortable trading pick 33 for an established Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk or Cortland Sutton vs Xavier Legette or Keon Coleman types who normally struggle to separate on the NFL level

@@brooklyn_boy3323 I think our offseason is fine for what we are as a team but this year’s draft is important because you need to use the MAJORITY of this draft to bring in players to help Bryce Young that’s why I think most of the picks should be on OFF instead of DEF Pick 33 WR (OFF) Pick 39 CB (DEF) Pick 65 Center (OFF) Pick 101 TE (OFF) Pick 141 LB or RB (OFF or DEF) Pick 142 EDGE or DT/DE (DEF) Pick 240 RB if we don’t get one at 141 or take a flyer on a developmental CB, SS or FS Notice our PREMIERE draft picks have to be OFF players who can start or give competition IMMEDIATELY.
