this seems inaccurate, more recent data seems to suggest that the cold parts would become way less cold and the hot parts way less hot due to winds carrying cold air over the surface to the hot parts while warm winds travel high to the cold parts.
Not quite sure how wind is past terminator line but on the day side it goes from Terminator to SSP, which is actually the most hospitable place as lotta starlight cause evaporation which cause clouds and rain which reflect a real lot of starlight. They will still get more light than ehm tropics but this is fine.
