What if the Enclave won in Fallout 2? - Fallout alternate History 

Notes about the video: 1. I cut out a LOT of unnecessary explanation for the story elements. So if something doesn't make sense, just ask, I have an extremely overcomplicated answer already. 2. The reason this video is so long compared to the previous 'What if?' is because there's a lot less to logically assume from an Enclave victory than a mutant army victory. Where the Master would have to then conquer the rest of world if he won, the Enclave simply kill everything when they win. So I had to make up a lot more stuff to happen in this episode as opposed to last episode. 3. I use a lot of non-canon stuff in this video like: Portland being a hellscape - Fallout The Frontier Bloomfield space center - Van Buren The Existence of an east coast Enclave during Fallout 2 - Possible, but not confirmed by canon 4. People keep asking about a part 2. It's not impossible for there to be a part 2 but, the story was meant to be concluded at the end, there's not much else that would happen. I may do a short follow up tying up any loose ends (yes that includes the Institute, stop asking) and covering any interesting suggestions if anyone wants to put any forward.

This guy is fan-fic genius. He embraces memes. He creates compelling narratives. He creates long videos, and uses beloved (or bememed) characters as basis.

I would totally play a Fallout spinoff set in this timeline. I would love to see a Fallout game where the world is FINALLY rebuilding back to full extent, rather than wooden shanty towns. Enclave or otherwise.

I love how everyone started to realize the potential of an Enclave campaign this year. Also, fun fact: We are 100 meters from your location and approaching rapidly. If we get there and you aren't in your power armor, private, there's gonna be HELL to pay.

The lone survivor from 4 would be lorded as an Enclave hod being that he is the most genetically pure human left alive.

As someone who roleplays an Enclave soldier in Fallout 76, I love that you included the Appalachian Enclave.

This is really well written. The themes and values of the Enclave are well portrayed. The details of the story both new and taken from existing lore are excellent.

That was perfect...and quite realistic I'd say. The larger factions were always prone to infighting so an Enclave Civil War with the Brotherhood joining in on the "Anti-government" side is fitting.

I love that you embraced the meme of the Enclave utterly destroying the Frontier. President John Henry Sneeden would be proud.

Honestly, the Enclave's victory and the Unity's success would be the two biggest timeline changes possible (as long as we don't change anything about prewar or the war itself)

I love how you made the ending actually feel like an ending of Fallout 3 and New Vegas

I reckon House would probably attempt to get a radar station or other sensor system online shortly after the airborne toxin hit to see if anyone was still alive to exploit, and after realizing everyone was dead would probably attempt to scour the wastes for the chip with the securitrons since that would be the only option left to him, whether these attempts would bear fruit is entirely up to speculation but if successful, would make House a potential force to be reckoned with once the Enclave come knocking.

With all that Geck can do - transform surrounding matter into energy and recomposing it - in theory it could actually make more Gecks, giving anyone who possessed a single Geck in theory potentially infinite number of Gecks.

Imagine if the Chosen One actually stood guard as exactly he/she was told to do by Sgt Dornen, being overwhelmed by his pure patrioticism and awe-terrifying presence.

The Enclave winning FO2 means a ravage of all tech/advanced in the wasteland like the Brotherhood did, it would be 100% possible for the Enclave to take Big Mt, and convert it. I do like the idea of them taking over, cuz the faster and rapid develop of tech with more blueprints, resources ecc. But yes, the wasteland in general would be confused and with some hairbrows raised, the expanding of the Enclave should have been rather than immediate force, with more dialoque like the Romans did.

I love the lore accuracy. Portland is definitely an overinfested hellscape.

I always wondered how the enclave would fare with its plans if the master won fallout 1 meaning the west coast is run by unity. This also means no BOS detachment follows the fleeing super mutants east leaving the calculator active and setting up a 3 way clusterfuck of fallout antagonists

The sacrifice of this version's Autumn actually moved me to tear.

I did not expect that ending to move me to tears that much, I generally saw Colonel Autumn as kinda a lame antagonist but this video legitimately made me care for how his story would end. RIP General Augustus Autumn.

This is fantastic, Augustus Autumn became one of my favorite FO3 characters after I got past the fact he's the guy who caused Dad's death. He wanted to rebuild America and wanted to use project purity for its intended purpose and not use the FEV. His death at the end of this story gives him the heros end he deserves, rebuilding America in the process. Fantastic work!! This story is better than Fallout 4, you should be writing Fallout 5 man

Wholesome enclave ending? This was so well done definitely earned a sub from me. This would be a super interesting alt history to follow in a game if they ever wanted to get more bleak. You can have super mutants survive from one of the East coast vaults. And you could play as one of the few who were naturally immune to the virus and had to watch everyone die.

So... would this mean that the Sole Survivor would wake up from their slumber in this new America? And would the Institute be discovered and become American citizens as well?

I think the Enclave winning could mean a couple things. Mostly depending on the ideology of the current leaders. Like if they decide that a Colonel Autumn style mindset is better or if they go whole hog with the Richardson/Eden plan. It really comes down to if they go into genocidal purification or of they end up actually rebuilding. Also the Frontier bit was beautiful LONG LIVE THE SNEEDCLAVE

I feel the Midwest Brotherhood of Steel would have been way more influencetal than the Westcoast Brotherhood. They were deployed before the events of Fallout 2, they canonically have Airships, and with out Wasteland interference they would have been unopposed in the Midwest Region.

I don't care whether the Enclave are evil, or morally neutral. "Purifying" the United States of America in X-01 power armor, with plasma-based weaponry is simply badass. And patriotic.

Imagining this all play out as the video went on was like watching a movie in my imagination 10/10 writing wish you could’ve done a small bit about what happens when the Sole Survivor awakens

Enclave and mr house working together is admittedly an awesome concept and sadly not an option in new Vegas. Thanks for your take on this. Also, I have a concept I think you might find interesting: what if the enclave remnants allied with the Midwest BOS after their employ of super mutants, ghouls and Deathclaws in their ranks? I can see a decent sized group of Enclave making their way to the east coast and they come across the Midwest chapter. They notice their armor is similar to theirs and instead decide to compromise with them as they have resources and research to better aid the Midwest chapter and their coalition of mutants. I can see power armored super mutants, vastly more intelligent death claws and possibly more competent ghouls getting modified radiation absorption power armor to heal them in combat, insuring longer fighting capability. The Midwest B.O.S. Coalition makes their way to the east coast to Washington, contacting the East coast BOS chapter. Seeing the effectiveness of the coalition, the east coast chapter allows them to aid in the effort to fight back the east coast super mutants, thus making the brotherhood a stronger force in that region, even knowledgeable of Enclave tactics when the east coast enclave eventually makes contact.

I find it pretty funny that we get this nice happy-ish ending, where America is rebuilt and there’s a bright future but you (the chosen one) gets killed and everyone else you play with in fallout 2 is forgotten about at the beginning of the video 😂

Now that's a good story, wouldn't mind that being cannon

Not that I don't already find myself enamored by your work, I simply think it might help you reach a larger audience and hopefully be another step in getting Bethesda to hire you to write the next game.

I will keep insisting on this until someone actually makes a game. The way you have the Enclave win is where you start out in a game as a major Enclave cell and your character is sent out into the wastes to scout them out. In part this is done because there are factions in the Enclave - all to some extent or another want to wipe the slate clean but some want to find out if there is anything worth saving. Through your choices you can completely turn on the Enclave, side with 'annihilationists' in the Enclave, or do a number of quests that cause moderates to win out - perhaps even uniting the Brotherhood and the Enclave - and the game in that ending would end with a vow that reunited the Enclave - not just the US government will restore order to the wastes - take back what is rightfully those of every decent human with fire and sword. All monsters were will be exterminated, the land will be green again.

GOD I wish this was made into a canon game. You talk about an AWESOME way to send the Fallout series.

This is an absolutely "What If?" situation! Sadly it doesn't surprise me with the internal struggle from what we've seen in all these Fallout games. Honestly I would like to see the Enclave gain a sizable foothold in a Fallout game. Who knows how things would change? Keep up the amazing videos!
