Deserts cover 1/3 of the land area on earth. They are the driest ecosystems on the planet with an average rainfall of less than 250mm per year.
Now, scientists have been looking for different methods to turn these barren lands into something more useful. One of them is the idea of turning the desert into a forest.
But will transforming entire ecosystems really make the Earth's environment better?
