I used NBA 2K23 MyLeague/MyNBA to simulate what Jayson Tatum's career would look like as a Laker. However, former and current MVPs would be standing in his way to stop him. But also, a few draft picks could turn the Lakers into champions. Can Jayson Tatum carry on the torch Kobe Bryant passed on to him?

People literally gloss over the fact that the Celtics had the number 1 pick and traded down because they knew they were gonna get Tatum. There is no alternate universe where the Celtics don’t get tatum.

@@TottiHoops yeah the Celtics already had IT and eventually traded for kyrie so they didn’t need have a positional need for the projected fultz or lonzo ball. And the sixers really wanted fultz. So they managed to get the third and a future first (Romeo langford).

The lakers wouldn’t be able to pick Tatum because the Celtics had the 1st pick in the beginning and they wanted Tatum but if the Sixers or lakers were interested in Tatum they wouldn’t have traded down to the 3rd pick. They only did that to get some extra picks and still got Tatum like they planned.

@@TottiHoops Depends on how far those 17,18 Lakers teams were able to get and tbh even if we took Tatum over Lonzo I don't see those teams making much noise in the postseason (as seen in the video). especially with how stacked the west was at the time.
