@@victoriaperez3574So when Zazu is babysitting the pair and says they're intended and talks about marriage, he was actually serious? Weird thing to drop on a kid but worse things have happened I guess. I thought he was fucking with them 😂
@@ieatlittlebabysicecreamalso, there's the possible family banner and other reasonings. King Richard I of England was called Lionheart and there's the Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus "the lion from the North".
@@James.B.Russell to be fair, the story of an evil uncle killing his brother and/or his nephew for the throne is not very original and there is probably thousands of African stories that also fit the bill.
@@georgiosgkanas758 I mean they let it slide in Pirates of The Caribbean. There was a guy who talked about how he traded stuff for "delicious long pig" (people) and then there was the whole ass island where Jack Sparrow was revered by an indigenous tribe who believed him to be a god trapped in mortal form, and they believed they had to eat him to free him. Not to mention Mr Gibbs' line about how "The cages were built *after* we got here" and Will is visibly disturbed by this news 😂
To heck with Live-Action! Animation is the true epitome of The Lion King, established in 1994. But when it comes to human or live-action versions of the Lion King, The Lion King Broadway Musical in New York. Heck, even the MCU Black Panther is a better Live-Action Lion King than the live-action Lion King (Titular Prince losing his Father of a King to circumstances (aside the MCU, in the comics, his father died fighting to protect his people from a villain that eventually usurped the throne) that makes the Prince question his worth as leader for his people, kind of messes around at some point (in Simba’s case Hakuna Matata, in Black Panther’s case Civil War in the MCU or fighting during the events of the Marvel Universe in the comics) before getting a vision of his deceased father that helped him gain the epiphany before finally fighting and defeating the villain and finally earn back the throne of his people as their new king. The circle of life).
@@maxxgunner5573I have a friend who wants to be a cartoonist at Cartoon Network. The entire “live action” Lion King movie he was complaining how the cgi animals had no eyebrows 😂
I saw a live action version of the lion king on broadway. They sort of did it like this! Using humans instead of sticking them in animal suits 😭 this was really cool!
can we talk about how amazing these character designs are??? I'm such a sucker for good character design, all of these look lovely AND recognizable! You can immediately tell who's who!
@@AYTM1200 It could have been an inspiration, but it was very much adapted from Hamlet, just as how Lion King 2: Simba's Pride adapted Romeo and Juliet.
Everyone: WOW this is amazing Me: did simba and nala just do the thing when they reunited- Edit: …how just how… I forgot about this comment even existing … *proceeds to cry*
It would’ve been so much better you could have them go all theatre on ya and make them look part Lion part human (Like Lion masquerade masks and ears etc but still played by people)
@@Sae.bae.GG08 that or they could use one of many cultures in Africa and use it for the movie with real humans.. Disney didn’t have much human “Africa” in their cartoons and movies
Honestly, if they decided to make this instead of that super weird emotionless CGI lion thing, Id actually be intrigued. I was super mad when my mom told me the remake was the first one she watched "i knew you loved it as a kid, but i never got around to it. But i heard Beyonce sings in this one" and im like really thats all it took to make you watch it😭
The artistry, the creativity, the perfect portrayal of the main plot/main scenes in a short time frame, the accuracy of the characters and the perfect loop- this is genuinely so freaking cool nice short!
Everyone: Omg, this is so amazing! Me: But, wouldn't that mean that human Simba would "do" all of the lady members in the herd of lions...? I would love to watch this though!😊
You know, somehow, this COULD work. The designs aren’t too bad. Now we just need a team of animators and voice actors willing to make this a full-on project, basically using the same script from the original Lion King, but altering any references to lions (but keeping them as metaphors).
There was a production like this I saw once. The actors had very tribal looking clothes on and Mufsa duel weilded these curved blades. It was awesome. I think it's Simba took those some time after Mufasa died, because he weilds later during his battle with Scar. Everyone is still wearing animal attire, but more like skins and such. (Was Nala still trying to eat the ultimate duo in either of these? No idea.)
I LOVE lion king and honestly, the lion king should have been human like other traditional movies instead of animals , it would've been a nice representation of African people. I would love to see that version ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
