I need to say that it's very good video! I also think that the Kuomintang wouldn't be able to fully win the Chinese Civil War, because the Soviets wouldn't allow to have an anti-Soviet China right on their border. But yeah, the loss of a sizeable chunk of land would've certainly make a huge blow to the popularity of Chiang Kai-shek, as he would fail to conquer all of the territories that China had before the Warlord Era. The regime transformation from authoritarianism to somewhat a democracy would've been inevitable, as the more militaristic wing of Kuomintang wouldn't have a big popularity in the time of peace (especially after the death of Chiang Kai-shek).

I know that America and the West were not so keen on being involved with China pre WW2 Era. Listen to this: what if Chiang Kai Shek made a friendship pact with Hitler and Emperor Hirohito instead of Stalin during WW2? After all, Chiang was the official liasion with the Soviets and not Mao.6It will be similiar with how the King of Thailand made a friendship pact with the Emperor of Japan where Thailand allows free movement of Japanese troops through Thailand and providing food and medicine to Japanese troops, in return for Japan not invading and occupying Thailand. With the help of Nazi and Japanese troops, Chiang could easily crush Mao's army and set up concentration camps to stamp out any trances of Communism among the Chinese. Of course, the Soviet Union will not be pleased about this and will attack China. But with Japanese troops pouring into Russia from both China and Nazi troops from the Western front, Russia will have a very hard time fighting against both fronts. After WW2, Democratic China could sign a military alliance with the US and allow them to put Military bases in China. China will then be invited to join NATO. Without a rich and powerful China supporting Russia economically and militarily, Putin won't be able to build up the Russian Army so well and use it to invade Ukraine today.

There a few things that don't make sense. Inner Mongolia is majority Han and I see no reason why it wouldn't be here as well given that Hans had been migrating to that territory for a long time and a nationalist military dictatorship that has lost lots of lands will send settlers there. Given that the Korean war was drawn to a stalemate because of the large Chinese armies, I can't see North Korea surviving the war.

Martial law was only used by the Republic after they fled to Taiwan. In this alternative time line the Republic would never have put in Martial law as in this timeline the Republic was not forced back to it's very last fortress with the threat of invasion looming over their heads. However not bad video

Decades ago I thought of, and drew, a map of how I thought that Nationalist China should have at least been. It was quite similar to that map in the last part of the video. But, was less territory, without that part at the north west.

One of the best China alt history I seen. Also the best ending, basically similar to Taiwan but more people, territory and general positive influence on the world stage (unlike our timeline).
