I think a lot of people, myself included, are curious to know if this lava will damage the Blue Lagoon or Grindavik. I heard that the flow is to the north and away from both but a 3-D model would be great, thanks!
It would be interesting to simulate. The viscosity and flow behaves weird. Sometimes it hardens in one place and starts flowing in a new direction. Builds up and collapses. Creating new pathways. So It would be very hard to simulate. But a fluid simulation could give an idea. Given the amount of lava in the previous eruptions I doubt that the wall arround the Blue Lagoon is going to do anything at all.
@@TimeWarpIceland Ha Karl! My big Iceland holiday was during the summer solstice. Have enjoyed all of your videos so much. Since I traveled solo..I went on great Ring Road itinerary with Arctic Adventures and saw lots of puffins. You take care!….Mayson
@@LowerTheBoom sorry, I only just saw this. It wasn't looking good but fortunately it only lasted a few days and is now stop. It could start again though.
