Enjoying your vids now. I'm curious about prisons. You have that there somewhere in Iceland?
@TimeWarpIceland

Yes, we have a few. Not really all that attractive as in other Nordic countries.
@dreamseer7
@dreamseer7 15 дней назад
@@TimeWarpIceland I figured it had to be somewhere, but it didn't seem to have the amount of crime we have here in the US. I actually worked in a prison for 7 years in Texas. You know, I really love Iceland. It's the one place I've been that I really felt I could belong, but not sure why. I never felt I belonged anywhere, not even where I was born. I appreciate the peace I found there.

I'm liking your vids. Thanks. I just got back from my second trip to your country. I love it there, despite some of my trip setbacks this time. I'm a nurse, and I did notice some things about your country. First, I went to the botanical gardens in Akureyri. It is near a hos pital, and I was suprised to see this hospital looked too "quiet". None of the usual chaos you'd see at a hospital here. I'm interested to know how your medical care is set up. Also, I didn't see a lot of sickly looking elderly people. I saw elderly there hiking with their walking sticks, while me and my severe arthritis was plodding along. Keep up the good work Mr. Time Warp.

Well, I saw northern lights for the first time in my life (near Zurich)… they were quite dim most of the time, but ever so often they were visible to the naked eye… made some great shots using my A7IV (and iPhone too)… now definitely saving up again for visiting Iceland during winter

I carry cash always. I have been to locations where the electronic banking system has down or there is an outage somewhere, or another 9/11 in the US. With cash I can always get currency at a local bank, if they have power. I have a hard time believing a vendor would refuse cash if the plastic would not work. Have to go check my generators as we are going to get hit with a hurricane tomorrow night. We are always without power for at least a week.

We really enjoyed the Perlan Museum. ❤. We skipped the Blue Lagoon. It is way too touristy, expensive and regimented. There are nice baths all around Iceland for a more reasonable price (if you want amenities) or for free (if you don’t).

New count looks like about 50 vents at least erupting. Large grey dark cloud is drifting towards Grindavik Town as I write.
@MikeGreenwood51
@MikeGreenwood51 2 месяца назад
Alert. Boom. Eruption showing now on Grindavik cams. Tons of molten hot lava from a long fissure. Started anout 40 minutes ago. New Eruption started at 12:46:55PM Iceland Time. 13:46:55PM GMT Summer Time. Oh great goodness. The fissure eruption is not the same as the previous with nine vents. No sir-ry! This critor of an eruption is more the size of 19 to 29 vents. 3 Times the size of the previous.
