Awsome😂 I think scenarios like this are cool even though it’s weak verses strong. Maybe if the weak country loses something bad happens to the aggressor because of this action. Or the weak nation can somehow win like Vietnam did-their geography can help them defend Another thing maybe if possible you can learn about the states of that nation that will be said or something to help know the place of what the aggressor is taking. Like for example Canada takes Maine
Biggest problem is the Irish do not have an air force at all. Nor a working Navy. Britain can deploy their air force in less than 24 hours. The UK is in NATO and Ireland isn't. Any incursion in to UK land means all NATO countries HAVE to fight on the UK's side regardless of the EU.
Article 42 of the Treaty of the European Union "if a Member State is the victim of armed aggression on its territory, the other Member States have an obligation to aid and assist it by all the means in their power" If the UK attacks first they are also attacking the EU.
I was always told in a War we would put up a great fight but potentially lose more than win, but would never really be conquered or beaten beyond resistance, there will always be Ireland... History even shows how it always happens 😂😂
As an Irish person there are a few things you missed, the military most likely would have used castles as a fort to spot and stop British soldiers most likely with machine guns, the wicklow mountains would have most likely slowed down British forces heading south as well as the other mountains(also the Irish army might of hidden in the mountains as well as farmers might be fighting with their rifles for their land) Edit: our allies may send military troops and equipment to Ireland so we don’t fight with weapons from the 90’s
As an Irish person, I hate it when Irish people say "yeah we could smoke the British easy" because we CANT, we have an army of less than 10k and the UK has 1M+ And plus, they could get to Rosslare harbour through Wales no problem, where they could reach Dublin within hours also they could send forces to the NI border and with that they'd reach important areas like Dundalk and Dublin even quicker, with two waves of forces coming to Dublin in 2 different directions, also being able to have some ships go to Cork, Ireland would fall within a week or so
I looked back at this video and I feel like France would have been more on Ireland's side than Germany. I feel like the Middle East would have a big role in the war as well. Anyways, good video.
Great video, one minor problem. Poland would likely be on the UK’s side. Poland and UK are very strong allies, a lot of Poles migrate to the UK and obviously some sentiment from WW2. But yeah a really good well thought out video, as a Brit myself I definitely agree that Ireland while completely unable to win would at least put up a good fight. The justification for the war makes sense too.

Ngl as an irish person, this is kind of an unfair comparision, our army barely has any men, our navy ships barely have anyone to operate them and our air force is probably older than north koreas. This is the same as comparing Estonia and Russia, then going "W Russia". When I seen this vid was 11 mins long, I expected Ireland to instantly fall and there's be mostly guerilla fighting or that the other nations would get involved and a massive war would break out or something😂. Overall tho congrats UK for maintaining their large military, I'm not salty ireland lost.

(But I know I did because I also know I wasn't thinking straight). I'd say Israel would join the UK meanwhile Ireland would have Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey and maybe (just maybe because of those countries) Russia and China could intervene to defend Ireland since Iran is already involved.
In any situation, historical or present, We (Ireland) would lose any time, historically we had half the population of them, but in modern day they have millions more then us so we would always lose

Fun fact though, (unless you are a republican) the RAF provides air cover for Ireland, the Irish don't have an air force, radar, ASW, there are two naval boats, one of which has no sailors and is mothballed in port. the UK could crush Ireland in a weekend.

Hence, Ireland agreed with Britain that should, e.g. the Soviet airforce attempt to do so, British aircraft could enter Irish airspace to intercept them. If Britain were to resume its war against Ireland after a one century lull, then I suppose we would have a few more centuries of guerilla warfare -- a rather unprofitable prospect from a British point of view.
Ireland Was Under British Influence and control for over 700 years. In only 1921 when the British were severely weakened after WW1 did the Irish get Independence.
Our navy is to protect our fish. Our air corp ' all three planes ' are used for fly overs at ceremonial events & our army are all on peace keeping duties around the world. So Britain would probably conquer us in an afternoon. Then we would all go to the pub for a drink. 🇮🇪
I don't think Russia would join on the UK's side, both share a terrible relationship. But if they did it probably prompt most NATO countries to support ireland and the UK would still win.

Well I hope you watched the stats at the start of the video and saw Irelands military compared to the UK's. Also if this video was so "Bias" It would have been like 5 minutes. France also has Very strong relations with the UK and so does New Zealand. If you watched the Video you would have also heard the story to how the war started which influenced what countries would join who's side. Also if your wondering why support countries didn't play a larger part in the war it's because there. SUPPORT COUNTRIES. Not to mention that Ireland was blockaded half the video so support wouldn't even have come. Irish ppl be trying to throw hands with me I swear 💀

It's extremely unlikely Scottish and Welsh Terrorists and Freedom fighters would pop up. Scotland and Wales aren't being oppressed by England, and there's no way the Scottish would choose to fight with force instead of diplomacy at first. While I do agree that Irish-Americans would support Ireland that doesn't mean the U.S as a whole automatically supports Ireland.
@@UnitedKingdomPlays I agree whole heartily with the America part but during the troubles we had Scots and Welsh people fighting for cause of independence. The oppression would be that we're not a free and sovereign nations. Northern Ireland weren't technically oppressed either. Just continuation of people wanting independence since the 1920s. the only major difference between Scotland and Ireland is Ireland did fight for it in more recent memories by the time of the 50s. Scotland easily could have done the same had Scottish independence ideals been more prevalent during ww1. Given an opportunity as well many people would take it too to try fight for independence. UK war on Ireland would be such time, the UK war on Ireland would have many similar reactions as with the troubles and probably more so as it the nation of Ireland rather than a British controlled territory.

Tensions escalated and the UK declared war on them. However they overestimated there ability to sustain the war at the start, and underestimated Ireland. Also countries don't need to be prepared to declare war on other countries. "Britain may not be fully prepared to fight a full-scale war on its own" a general has suggested

Most of those planes are not able to fight there is only 8 planes that can operate as fighters or close air support Britain has more planes in northern Ireland than Ireland has aircraft
Other countries are sending them Military and economic aid. Which I did include in this video with support countries. No country has officially joined the war on Ukraine's side and that's how it would be with Ireland too.
