@ricksdetrix Hope you’re doing alright! Just got home from a long day and saw you posted a new video that I’m pretty stoked about! I also sent you an email about a week ago corresponding to your videos and offering some support and services!
16:11 "Don't you dare try and tell me you would drink olive oil during the apocalypse." Should... should I tell him about DougDoug's diet? 1400-1600 calories of olive oil a day. He sits down and knocks back 4 full shot glasses of olive oil.
Your frustration at the beginning reminds me of my own when I started my own zero to hero nomad challenge. 0 fitness and strength sucks so hard that 1 fitness and 1 strength feels like worlds difference.
" Sebastian Charles: *Snaps fingers* Another person just died... where is your outrage? House: *Snaps fingers to a beat* Sure they're dying... but it's got a great beat." wait wrong house
fun fact, if you ever want to train your strength, fitness, and carpentry, find any kind of axe and start chopping down trees when you are relatively safe in your established area!
I think this is pretty on point, i mean in the games yeah you can reach to almost one shot guys in power armor, but power armor would be THIS op irl. Just one soldier with power armor can be a real life equivalent of a space marine, just ripping through zombies with your bare hands
“This fireplace poker is insanely overpowered.” My dude, it’s a forged-iron spike that you send forcefully through a year-old-and-rotted Zombie’s orbital bone with the assistance of gravity and leverage; why would it *not* one shot lmao Also btw great video, love the content
Just watching you for the first time. I was enjoying the montage, the rythme and your text. But this music at 17:30, This music. Gave me nostalgic chills. Instant sub
I watched a lot of the stream for this one, and I don't feel like this vid does justice to quite how tormented Ricksdetrix was having to struggle with this character! Amazing run.
I like to imagine in my own headcannon that every challenge run that our boy has done is all in the same world/"universe" like this one being a year after the mall or the rooftops video, it's just a fun idea to me that out there in the world, there *could* be a single life fending for themselves and *thriving* just as you are Anyways, 'nough of that rambling, love the videos and the editing man, the way you narrate this is *lovely* and it's always a great time to watch these, I myself tend to play PZ like an ex-military soldier being sent to Knox to "deal" with the zombies (Aka, kill everything and anything, and dispose of the evidence of the entire thing happening) But your challenge runs make me wanna play like this, BUT I am evidently very bad at this game, so until then, I'll watch your videos to fill that gap :D Keep it up, you're doin' great man!
@Ricksdetrix With the perfect opening of story telling you had me hooked, But the OST's from my Childhood being Fallout, Halo, then Fable, I had to comment, this video and like your other videos is a masterpiece.
Haven't played PZ for near a year (got a new laptop, never re-installed it). That means I stopped watching all my favorite PZ uploaders as well. Ironically, I've spent most of the year playing heavily modded Fallout 4! - Suffice to say, I reinstalled PZ a few days ago and was shocked that Steam had remembered all the mods I had (which was a relief, I had a lot), several are defunct or updated so I have to sort through them before I get back into it though. And there have been some vanilla updates as well - But just fiddling around with it last night reminded me how much I enjoy this game. Hoping I can really get back into it again over the weekend....Knox County needs revisiting. Either way, it's good to see Rick still churning out these fun vids...going to have to start visiting all my old youtube haunts to see how the game has changed and being played these days!
Honestly would love to see a full series of this! On a mission to find a water chip, deep inside the city of Louisville. Or maybe find parts to fix your generator back in your "vault". For your next video, I support a balanced version of the power armor for the run! Loving every upload ❤
That's a nice idea. I'm a little sad I didn't have the time to give this challenge what it deserved, the process of fixing the power armour is extremely arduous, and getting to LV on foot is a nightmare (not to mention I nuked the hell out of it )
rick, you should go to settings and put every fancy handwork setting to none, because if you hold ctrl and equip a weapon from your back, it puts it in secondary. changing the settings fixes that
I recently had a dream where I was highly radiated so I kept myself awake by peddling on an indoor exercise bike. Kind of reminds me of this playthrough, especially that small bike moment lol.
reduce the pop, maybe add variants? i'd love to see you complete the original challenge of finding the armour, maybe in a mod city with more loot spawns, keep the suit as powerful as you'd like just balance it by making the cores super rare. watched it the entire way through just for the intriguing premise
