Well, with the Majora's Mask argument, there is another possibility. Assuming Young Link takes the Master Sword with him to Termina, its holy power could possibly either immediately dispel the Deku Scrub curse Skull Kid casts on him, or prevents him from being cursed entirely. We see this ability in Twilight Princess after Zant permanently cursed Link into his wolf form. Also, being armed with the Master Sword would be a great help to him against Skull Kid and Majora, its holy power combined with Light Arrows being enough to defeat them before the moon falls... But again, this is assuming he brought it with him.
Don't you hate when people comment before watching the entire video? Because they have nothing good to say. It's usually just "first" or "wow I'm early" It is incredibly annoying.
I was thinking for the full video that thigns would be very different without time travel in the series because it was needed for Skyward Sword to happen the way it did. Im glad you brought it up, if that game didn't have time travel things could, and i think would, be very different for the series stories.
Difference is that Took Link would age naturally so maybe they scrapped it since if they made Link age they would question how many years/months did it take for him to save the world
I'd argue for adult timeline over child timeline in this case, as going to the future isn't time travel, it's literally link being sealed away for 7 years. On the other hand, becoming child link again is time travel. So you get adult timeline, but the land doesn't become flooded because now there is a link to stop Ganon and we have no clue what might happen.
Link would still be sealed after getting the Master Sword in Ocarina of Time because the sealing process wasn't technically time travel. If it was time travel, then he would still be a kid.
What about this alternate ending to OoT? Both Link and Ganondorf touch the Triforce at the same time and each wish for something different. Link wishes to save the people of Hyrule while Ganondorf wishes to destroy everything... This could result in the Triforce shattering from the conflicting wishes and causing part of the land to become safe and fertile while part of it is destroyed beyond recognition. Maybe once you defeat him, he could be sealed to forever roam the "Cursed Land" while the survivors build a flourishing new castle town.
Love ur vids and can't wait for ur birthday video I would send something but I can't, love ur vids been watching for around 3 years u deserve more subs
if time travel was never added to the series then ocarina of time would have had a higher chance of being the sealing war which would have drastically altered the series
5:17 Ganondorf is NOT Demise. Demise just reincarnated AS Ganondorf but who says that there can’t be a male Gerudo King without demise being reincarnated as him with demise being in a different race next time? Imagine having a gerudo king as your ally to defeat demise in one game!
*thinks about it for a moment* Well, technically, without timetravel....good god, why is skyward sword so complicated? Okay, let's roll it back to the origin. The skyward sword we know is likely a timeloop, because many of the aspects seem kinda weird, like how there is that random prophecy and all. LThe cast does travel back in time at the end of the game afterall. So without any timetravel, the plot is likely about fi awakening and link and zelda then traveling down together. In that position, link could protect zelda. Let's say ghirahim does not manage to get her for long enough to revive demise. I don't know how it affects the mastersword exactly, but the story basically ends with the imprisoned dying from getting crushed because ghirahim cannot do crap without the timegate. I would assume that the imprisoned would be more dangerous and would break free more often because zelda would not be in the past to make the seal stronger, but it would still be an overall less horrible chain of events for everyone involved. Demise does not curse the world, but considering certain other characters just seem to reappear between generations like there being multiple malons, I would say it would still be possible for there to be more links and zeldas regardless. So everything is stable....except that the thunderdragon is dead. F for him.
i think in oot link would become an adult after getting the master sword because its not time travel he just went into stasis for 7 years. So your time lines would be adult timeline where link stays around for ganons return, and link failing in the fallen hero timeline. the adult timeline would be different though with no windwaker because the hero would be present during ganons return
This is all good but actually when we fight the monk he’s all dried up and stuff and still uses melee attacks so why would it not make sense for dried Ganondorf to??
Dr. Willy the Adult Timeline is impossible without time travel and the biggest problem to that is the Spirit Temple which needs you to time travel as a child and an adult to be able to clear it. So its impossible for Link to get into Gannon's Castle without completing the Spirit Temple which itself is impossible as you don't have time travel. Also Link couldn't go to the Temple as a child as the Gerudo wouldn't let him leaving him to teleport to it, however it needs Link to go there first which its only possible as an adult as he is able to fight his why through. But still leaves the problem that Link can't complete the Child part of the Temple which is needed to open the adult part of the Temple.
gameplay-story seperation. Link could easily just climb the temple from the outside breath of the wild-style. Just that that is not a thing when playing the game because it would defeat the point of actually playing the temple in the first place.
The Adult Timeline still wouldnt exist as it requires Link to leave abandoning that timeline without the spirit of the hero meaning there would be a Link to save Hyrule meaning the great flood most likely wouldnt happen In the child timeline I think he would just die in Majora's Mask and he wouldnt become a Stalfos becoming the Hero's Shade for Twlight Princess
Is it canon that the master sword sealed link away because he wasn’t ready? I thought Rauru kept him hidden so gannondorf couldn’t kill him and steal the ocarina and get rid of the sword so it could never be used against him
what if, every time link pulled and returned the Master Sword to the pedestal, he inadvertently created MULTIPLE timelines based on however many time the player returns to the past/travels to the future, and every action taken as child link created ANOTHER series of ripple effects for OTHER alternate futures!
I'm pretty sure only the Ocarina creates different timelines. The Master Sword, time portals, timeshift stones, & the Harp of Ages all seem to work on different mechanics.
On an added theory, WW follows Adult timeline. So since Link is 17-18 WW Hero of winds would be turning 17-18 the same age as Hero of Time. Or am I missing something??
2:55 already fucked up the theory because that is not timetravel. Nice. What would happen basically is that skyward sword would be diffrent, oracle of ages does not happen and link stays in the adulttimeline(no childtimeline) and everything over there is nice. Termina is already gone by the time link wakes up, so that is not really of concern.
So @@drwily Your Telling If That Happened THEN Botw Wouldn't EXIST??????????? That Would Be Great The Champions And The Queen Would Have Been Still Alive And Zelda Would Have NO SEALING POWER
